The scam has changed a bit. I got an unauthorized charge to my CC for $15.99 and a hold for $1.00 by "Computer Software" showing up on my account on July 28, 2011 but the amount was more than that noted here and a different phone number (which I've reported here" of 888-779-8864.

Same deal if you call, press "one" if you have a question about your credit card bill and then it asks you to repeat your credit card number or at least the last six digits, If you call back and press "two" for CS, you get a message saying all the reps are busy, then it asks you to leave a callback number.

Contacted my CC issuer, card cancelled, charge disputed and new card ordered. I'd sure like to know how these creeps got my infor as I'm practically paranoid about who gets that information from me...

Same thing happened to me today. I live in Phoenix checked my acct online as I do every 2 days or so. Had unauthorized pending charges of $1 and $14.95 listed as Computer Software 1-800-346-8752 NE immediately called and reported it. Card cancelled and charges will be denied. I bank with US Bank and they say they will send papers to fill out as well as another card and whatnot but I really don't believe anything will come of it but don't know what else to do.

I had to spend 10minutes on the phone with chase, now they canceled my CC, I will have to wait for new one and type up all the legit automatic payments again. hrrr. Hate those scammers,
it is still scary how they were able to charge that many credit cards

(lets say 1mil users charged minus 50% who bother to look at their statement (especially for 14.90$ charge) , that is still 0.5mil x 14.90$ => that is still 7 450 000$ profit in a short time.

Who will investigate a 14.90$ charge by itself. Unless they collect all the claims from all different banks and users. But who will do that? FBI internet fraud unit? http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

The got me as well for $14.90 (Computer software) on my CitiBank card.  I cancelled the account since they obviously had my account number.  Very clever - only charging a small amount and making it something innocuous like computer software.

I got this same charge on my bank account for 14.90(computer software) and a dollar hold.My bank refunded my money,but had to cancel my visa debit card and get a new one.How do these people get access to our accts like that?

I was charged $14.90 april 2010 and I called the number and left a message and never recieved a call and never got ahold of anyone.

WOW!! The exact samething has happened to me(5/5/10). No call neither. My card was charge $14.90 and a $1,00.  My bank reversed the charges and a new debit card will be reissued. Still trying to figure out how my card number was stolen.

Did not receive a call, but got the same charge, 14.90 from computer software.  Called my card issuer and asked for a reversal and a new card, no questions asked.  I am very careful with protection of my credit card info.  Can't figure out how this one slipped through.

The same jerks charged my checking account for $1 and $14.90.  Charges just showed up.  Charges were made with my Wells Visa/Debit number.  Made report to Wells fraud department, and they shut off my card number.  New card will arrive in a few days.

They charged my credit union without me knowing.

I am on the phone with BOA now disputing this charge.  Total nightmare.  I went through Customer Service to Claims to Fraud office ~ so far almost 1 hour on the phone.  They want to cancel my card, and issue me a new one.  It may take a week to get me a new card, so I will have to wait 1 week to access my money at any ATM and I will not have access to a check card for purchases.  You would think that BOA would get the first couple of complaints and then ID this as FRAUD and stop taking transactions from this fraudulent company!!

Got it as a pending transaction on 5/3/2010 through my Regions bank.  Two charges: 1 for $1.00 and another for $14.90 -- card was canceled and reissued with no problems.

The bank rep gave me the 1-800 # to contact.  When you call the 1-800 # it's interesting how the recording IMMEDIATELY asks if you are calling about an unrecognized charge on your credit card.  If so, press 1.  Then it wants you to enter your credit card number AGAIN. -- DON'T DO IT!

Then if you press 2 for customer service, it comes back with all reps are busy, please leave a voicemail.  I just called my bank back and had them dispute the charges and kill the card.

I forgot to find out if it was pushed through as a Debit or Credit on my card, that way I can try to figure out where it was stolen.

I got this charge today on my ATM Debit card!  And I work for the Fraud Department at BofA !!!

This is a scam, I see this all day long, funny how they got me  and I specialize in credit card fraud.

Yep.  Got the same charge on my bank statement on 4/3/10.  Did not receive a phone call though.

"Computer Software - 800-346-8752 NY - $14.90"  Had to cancel my debit card but the bank has not credited my account yet.  

Double-check ALL of your credit card and bank statements each month.  This problem is getting worse by the day -- and not just with this particular scammer.

I hae also received a fraudulat charge on my Wells Fargo VISA for this number.  I have tried repeatedly to contact them to no avail I am going the my state's AG for relief.

I double checked and the company that owns this online calling card is inphonex.com. I reported this information to the local police.

I found this on my account while checking my bank account online this morning. I never received a phone call. I wasn't home yesterday but used my VIsa at 2 gas stations and Wal-mart.  Found this charge on  my WESTERN HERITAGE CREDIT UNION VISA card April 022 2010 "Computer Software" 8003468752 NY $14.90. Called my bank and  cancelled card. Have to Send in letter of explantion to cc company to get the charges disputed. The 800 phone number goes to a calling card under phonex.com with no minutes . A true scam!! Alert to all credit card owners!!!

Got one on my BOA card April 02 2010 "Computer Software" 8003468752 NY $14.90 called BOA they called the company got a message the amount has been refunded with no other information. It has been refunded but its a good scam if they hit 1 million people for $15 and no one checks the statements then they make alot.
