I called verizon customer care. They told me that it is fraudulent. It's a scheme to obtain your personal information.

I also called the 800 number. Spoke to a lady, and I can guarantee it is NOT Verizon. Verizon will NOT text you with a phone number to call (except maybe the *611 shortcut). It will say it is coming from "900080004000" instead of duping it so it shows up as "Me".   Verizon also notified me that another company is contacting customers, offering discounts, gift cards, etc. That is also not them. It is not verizon's practice to do so.

Verizon is harrasing me sending constant messages saying that I have "recently requested or changed my password" for a "free" something or other they are offering. I never accept offers that carry the word "free". Please make these people stop harrassing me. Thank you.

Received a text msg from this number 3 times today. no idea who it is. This is a Scam!!!

got the unattended mailbox message with the 800 number.  Says it's from ME and lists my number.  I suspect collections.

Good Old Verizon WORTHLESS, letting UNWANTED TEXTS come with No Way to Block these Flockers.
got 3 calls/texts from a net line and this 800 number I did not call back so its most likely just a scam using flaws or SPYING Cell companies Allow as you Feed them 50 bucks a Month.

Just recieved a text MSG usage aleret#ending 1574. What the heck does this mean?

I just got 8 of them an hour ago. It's 3:30am! What on earth is this? It's creepy! :/

I had just paid my bill, but on my daughter's portion of the bill (we all pay individually) it said her card information was declined ( I find that odd, since its in there permanently), and I just used it last month.  After paying with her "check" option, I get a text like we normally do saying that portion was paid.  THEN I get a 2nd text showing only this *611.  I reply with a question mark (?) then I get the message like others did "mailbox not attended...."  My question is...what does the 611 mean?  

Not sure if others had made a change of payment options or not, but that may be why you got the message.

Have been getting wierd computer language texts, and it says that the sender is my own phone number. Now this,"Thank you for your reply. Uninstalling unnecissary apps, and reporting to verizon.

Got a text at 9:05am on my cell phone today saying I had a temporary password and that if I didn't register please call Customer Service. It didn't say who oit was from so I replied with "who is this" to which I got a reply text from my cell number saying to call 800-350-2830

Got an email telling me to call this # if I hadn't changed my password. (and i hadnt changed my password)

Got a text message that calimed it was Verizon - I texted a reply asking what change to my account are you talking about - I've made no changes - I then received a text asking me to call 800-350-2830.

The exact replay states: "Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, this mailbox is not attended and your message will not be responded to, please call 800-350-2830 for assistance."

I was being charged for Navigator since Jan. 14 on my Verizon account. Verizon says I downloaded the Navigator program on my cell phone on Jan. 14. I know that I did not download the program. I looked back through my cell phone to see what calls were made on Jan. 14. There was only one call from 800-350-2830 received on Jan. 14 and it was from Verizon. Could Verizon have downloaded the Navigator program? Verizon has been charging me an extra $10.00 a month for the Navigator program that I do not use and did not download. Valerie
