This # is associated w/the DSM Register & when I called this 800 number back & told them to remove my number, they transferred me to the DSM Register where I spoke w/a customer service representative & they did put my number on the 'do not call list'. Whew!

I get called by them about 1-2 a month.  I just called them back and talked with somebody in their marketing department, was very nice to them, and they said they would be happy to take my number off the list.

It's The Des Moines Register. They once called me by mistake asking if I wanted the paper. I declined. They called two months later and wanted to know why I didn't pay my bill for the paper delivery. I never received the paper and my address was wrong. They call every day sometimes twice a day asking if I was interested in receiving the paper. I told them after the lay offs and constant calls. I told them I was not interested and never will be. They ask if you want to be on the "do not call" list and I assume that is the "CALL EVERYDAY LIST". I will never support the Des Moines Register again.
It is the ecomomy and new technology. Its time to move on and shut down.

Just got a call.  Said Des Moines Register for ID.  We already subscribe to the Sunday paper, that's all we want.  Getting really tired of these kind of things from places that should KNOW better.  Registered my same number AGAIN with do not call registry but what a joke that has turned out to be.

I called this number and spoke directly to the operator, requesting my name be taken off the call list. She knew exactly what I was talking about and took my number down. She did say it would take 10-14 days to get through the system. Hope this works

I get calls almost every day. On 800notes someone identified this number as The Des Moines Register. I have not verified this. It could be the Register or a telemarketer calling on their behalf.

They call me every day at lunch

I have been getting these calls for over a year and am becoming very frustrated!

I'm a High School Student and Des Moines Register called me everyday for 1 month already. I never pick up because they always called me when I'm in school. Today, I got mad and pick up and a man ask me if I interest in something, that's when I hung up. I also got kick out of class just about 10 minutes ago because of this :D.

so far i got 2 calls from this number, one on March 29th around 12:17pm and on March 30th around 10:28am. Yesterday I got a call that google says is from the West Des Moines/Waukee area, this one was not this number but a local number and came at 7:10am just as I was about to go to bed, and it woke my son up! Dont they know how to leave a message??

Since I subscribed to the paper for a couple months & then discontinued it, I have been getting almost daily calls from this number. I'm afraid the marketing tactics of the Des Moines Register are not going to save them from the trend toward a paperless society.

does not leave message, calls two or three times a day

This number has been calling us for 2 mo.s sometime twice a day.  They leave no message.  It is listed to DES Moines Register in Ia but they don't claim it.

They call me about every other day, I used to have the paper with them. They delivered one paper in three months, so I cancelled. They probably want me back, not going to happen

I just got a new number on Saturday. This number has called every day since. I don't answer. At least now I know who is calling. Next step is "Do Not Call" registry.

This number has called twice today and calls quite often, I wonder if this is legal when you are on the Do Not Call Registry and I have only had the number 4 months and registered it right away??

Called me at my business, to look for newspaper carriers, I don't know about me but maybe they should put a want ad in their newspaper. On the flip side, I did find a contact number to their main switchboard it is 1-800-532-1455 in Iowa. The operator answered and they put me thru to their Telemarketing Dept. an answering machine, I left my first name and telephone number to call me back, still waiting.....P.S. they left no way to remove me from their calling list.

This number calls multiple times a day and never leaves a message!  It has been going on for a couple of months now. I have answered before and told them I'm not interested, I subscribed a long time ago and cancelled it!  I wish they would leave me alone!

I receive a call for this number at least twice per day.  I don't answer and they never leave a voicemail.  This has been going on for months.  I canceled the Des Moines Register almost one year ago and hadn't planned to resubscribe.  Now I'm sure that I won't.

I get several call (attempts) every day. It's time to persue legal action against these b*****ds!

I've received MANY calls from this number, typically once a day in the morning. Sometimes I am able to answer and other times I am not. They never leave a voicemail. One time I was able to answer and speak with someone and they asked me if I was interested in receiving the Des Moines Register. I told them no and to stop calling. I still receive calls. The next time I was able to answer I told them to quit calling, I was not interested and that I received the calls all the time and it was annoying. I told him it was borderline harrassment. Geez, I'm not interested in the paper, get a hint. I don't know how they got my cell phone number because I don't give it out and I've never subscribed to the Des Moines Register! I'm considering contacting someone at the Des Moines Register and voicing my frustrations at this point.

I got a call on Sunday at 6:30PM on my cell phone.  I told them it was a cell phone they called, but they just went ahead with their pitch.  Isn't that illegal to cold call on Sundays?

Over 17 calls from this number this month alone... I don't answer the phone any more I let my machine get them all.
