1800-367-1822  This number was calling my wife's cell phone several times a day at various hours of the day and night.  When I finally got a hold of someone on the line, they asked for Victor Sanchez.  They said he had listed this number as his home phone emergency contact.  They asked how long we had the number and if we were sure that Victor wasn't home.  I checked under the couch, in the closet, and under the bed.  Nope.  Victor no esta aqui.  After several minutes of saying there is no such person here, they said they would remove our number from in connection to his name.  So far the calls have stopped.

This number has called my cell 17 times already.averages 2 calls since 9/22. similar posts say student loan collection. never a student with any loans .I'm 58 years old . i never answer... just gets more annoying every day....

These jack***es call me everyday and it's pissing me off. they call like every hour.

This number has been calling us for about a year now at least 10 times a day never leaving a message.
When we try to call them back they wont tell us nothing unless we give them our info.
We are not going to give our info to complete strangers. We really wish they would stop Harassing us!
They even call at 8:59 pm every night.

I used to be a collector. If you told them not to call,and they continue to do so,they are in violation of the FDCPA , and you CAN sue them for harrassment.Google the FDCPA rules. There are things they,as collectors,CANNOT DO,and that is one of them.

I believe the cutoff time is 7am. So yes it's legal to call prior to 8am.

I answered this number and when they asked for a person I have never heard of, I told them they had the wrong number.  The woman said okay she would take care of it and now they call all the time.  Sometimes as often as every hour!

I keep getting calls from this number 1-800-367-1822 and I never answer unfamiliar numbers, same rule to go by as not talking to strangers. I came here to see who or what company this number belongs to. Thank you to everyone here who posted, now I know that this number is from some collections agency using aggressive methods in harassing people.

I got a hangup call from this number, when i called back they asked me about some name i had never even heard of. i have had my number for about 10 years. they said they would remove my number from their database.... second unsolicited call today from 2 different places

I continue to receive calls on my prepaid phone from this number. When I last received a call, I picked up the phone and no-one was on the other end.

Some idiot woman called and demanded I identify myself. I refused. I asked what company she was with and the purpose of the call. She responded by stating that she would identify herself and her company as soon as I confirmed my identity. I insisted that I would NOT give any personal info without knowing who I was talking with, and the purpose of the call. She continued so insist, at which point I just hung up. I then (thanks to my iPhone "blacklist" app) blocked her phone number. BEWARE! This (company?) used very aggressive tactics to obtain personal info!

someone with a horrible accent called my cell phone asking for a name I had never heard before at the company I work for. Obviously they had done their homework half assed: found me via a web search as working for the company but not enough research to locate the company's real phone number.

They would give me no information as to what they wanted other than HR dept and did not understand that because they were calling a cell number I could not transfer them.

When I called them back from my company phone line to ask for the name of the company that was calling me, and to take my cell number off their call list, they berated me for the number of my company. Now how stupid do you have to be ... guess they take anyone off the street to collect money.

I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK. A GUY ANSWERED AND I ASKED HIM WHAT HIS NAME WAS. THE FAST TALKING IDIOT WHO ANSWERED WAS OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO TALK SO FAST AS TO MAKE HIS NAME UNDISCERNABLE AND HIS COMPANY UNDISCERNABLE WHEN I ASKED HIM WHAT COMPANY HE WAS WITH.

AS IT TURNED OUT, HE WAS CALLING ABOUT SOME COLLECTION MATTER, THAT WE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT, PERTAINING TO MY WIFE'S DAUGHTER.

I TOLD HIM IN NOT VERY NICE TERMS TO NEVER CALL OUR PHONE NUMBER AGAIN. NOW WE ARE GETTING SIMILAR CALLS FROM "UNKOWN CALLER" ON THE CALLER ID. WE DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN THE CALLER ID SHOWS "UNKOWN CALLER" BUT WE HEARD THEM STATE MY WIFE'S DAUGHTER'S NAME IN THE BACKGROUND BEFORE THEY HUNG UP SO WE KNOW IT'S ALLIED INTERNATIONAL NOW HARASSING US WITH MORE PHONE CALLS BUT BLOCKING THEIR PHONE NUMBER WHEN THEY CALL, THUS, "UNKOWN CALLER" ON OUR CALLER ID.

Today I heard an quite professional add on internet radio z90.3 that tells people banks are selling houses which were taken from non-payers, and asks to call this number, only citizens with name beg. A to N , rest can call tomorow from 9 am..????!!! :)))

At first I believe this to be a SPAM call since there were reports that if you call back this type of # you
will end up getting billed for charges on your cell from a 3rd party, like a jailhouse.  So I took down the incoming #, erased it immediately from my cell & then looked it up on line to find that it's an automated
debt collector. I have no outstanding debt & do not want to be associated with anyone that has an outstanding student loan either, which leads me to believe it could be any kind of random association with my last name that they can find on a people search through the white pages online directory.

A few months ago I signed up for the DO NOT CALL registery on my cell but apparently
it's not that effective. If they keep calling, I will just keep deleting off my cell & inform my provider that
it's verging on the side of harrassment.

I called them back this AM.
Turns out my wife was used as a character reference for a friend that got a student loan over 10 years ago. I told the rep that we have not heard from that person in years and to that he said that he would remove our name and number from their records. So, there maybe hope but I will wait and see.

Today, Sunday 02/14/2010 @ 2:35PM the phone rang once and I answered to a recorded message instructing me to call 1-800-367-1822 with regard to a debt. I have no debt. I called the number and was told by another recording to call back during business hours. I might call back tomorrow if for no other reason then to take up their time.
