The actual phone number that appeared on my caller id was 877-290-0920.  A lady by the name of Maureen had asked to speak to one of my family members.  She claimed she was just on the phone with my family member but somehow they got disconnected when she was trying to transfer the call to another associate (Jim) that was going to be personally handling the issue.  My question is if she was just on the phone with my family member then why are you calling me on my number back instead of my family member.  It just doesn't make sense.  I caught her in her lie and she got all confused and started fumbling over her words.  I guess I was apparently getting on her nerves a little as well.  She asked for my family member's contact number which I refused to give her.  I instead asked for her information.  She said the call back # is 1800-370-8352 and the extension to speak to Jim is x1407. These people must really think I'm stupid.  You're not going to get information out of me like that. Come on!

Thanks for post, I got a call and it appeared that they were collection, I have student loan but when I told them I could not make payment would accept any amount had to be today. Was unsure about the call...contacted SallieMae directly and they were not agency authorized to collect.

Just got a call from this number, and no lie, the caller ID showed "SPAM"

Got a call that didn't sound very busness like ... more of a personal call asking to speak to my ex-wife (divorced for 5 years) using her first name only. Told her the divorce was final years ago expecting her to hang up. Instead, she asked if I had a contact number. Told her that, last I heard, the "ex" was in the Federal Detention Center in Cheyenne Wyoming. Still she didn't hang up ... asked for confirmation that it was Cheyenne WY ... I said yes and that I avoid contact like the plague. Finally hung up ...

Someone from this # 1-800-370-8352 called my dad saying they were looking for my daughter this morning. They told my dad she had put him down for a reference, which she hasn't. Does anyone know who this number belongs too? They do not need to be bothering my 83 year old dad and 80 year old mom!!! Thank you!

They are a illegal debt collection agency, they illegally claim to be Attorneys who are going to file charges against you (wow..had no idea Attorneys can double up as Law Enforcement, since LE'S file charges not debt collectors) they also state illegally they are coming to you home with summons (they are not).
If you get a call from these clowns, NEVER SPEAK TO THEM.
Hang up, get their mailing address and send them a certified cease and desist letter, demanding them to not contact you or friends & family again.
If they contact you after that log all calls and times.
Contact a Attorney that handles illegal debt collectors.
Let them pay for harassing you and breaking the law.
Also report them to the FTC online.

I got a call from  this guy  who was looking for a relative of ours. Said  he was trying t0 get in touch with him . Funny that he called me at  my place of employment .DIDn't give anymore info ,either...Just told him that if I knew the guy have him callthis 800 number.
