850-252-8922 belongs to a debt collecting agency called Enhanced recovery company.

There is no real way to stop these calls unless you consulted law enforcement. Once you're listed, there's no clearing your number from these crooks. They'll just consume your money dry. The only real ways to trick them is to listen first for which name is being called for which obviously everyone here knows it's a person that does not exist, then specificy, "this person does not live here, never heard of this person." They will immediately switch over to a brand new name. May even be someone under your last name. This is where you fool them. State clearly, "Nice try. You mentioned one name under this number anyway, what makes you think Name #2 is at all accurate?," then hang up the phone. Cuss if you may. Then block it, or just spam them back then hang up.

Do not phone a manager. A scammer is his/her own management continuity. You'll only be selling out your information for them to bug you more.

stop relying on the do not call list its a sham get printed records from your phone company or carrier if a specific number calls you more than once and you specifically told them to never call again. also make logs of all the calls each time they call and note down what you say to them...go down to the court house day look this number keeps calling me how do I file a small claims case against them DO NOT hire a lawyer you will barely walk away with anything you can do this on your own its simple and easy and you will win if you have adequate enough information to please the judge EVEN IF THE collection agency is looking for you you have the right to not be harassed....
I recently told a debt collector to never call me again unless they want to be taken to court for harassing a disabled person ...it works try it don't rely on fo not call list the gov uses that list to sue companies harassing people and by signing up for it and reporting the calls you are waiving any money rewards from law suite so the FTC is keeping all the money read the fine print...

This number called and just played some crappy music. They didn't say anything but I only listened for 13 seconds. It was a little weird.

Screw you, stuff happens, like layoffs and housing and food is more important than paying credit cards.

But it's not because I owe them money. It's because I was used as a reference for a family member. They don't care. But since they like music, I'll play it for them.

I answered and all I got was music so I called back and played them music when I got a person. Funny. They didn't like that!!!! LOL

I get them all the time here at work and when I pick up nobody says anything.. Ughh!!  What I did was to call them back, then an automated machine will answer and you will get the option to remove your number from their list. I do not know if it works, because I just did it -- like 5 minutes ago. I hope it works and good luck!

I get this ANNOYING call EVERY morning. I just got a new home phone number and NOW I am getting ALL of these annoying calls. Just want it to stop. I called the number back to have my number remove and thought it worked, but now another one started. I am NOT Mary or David Hernandez!!!!

I put this number on my do not call list and I get a phone call from them 7 days a week.  This has been going on for months and months.  How do I get rid of them?

They are calling regularly and sometimes leave a message for someone who must have had this number more than 6 years ago.  It is very annoying!

If you want to post your number in this forum, I'm sure someone can arrange to have a faux, anonymous "debt collector" to ring your phone 24 hours every day demanding money from you owed by someone else -- or by nobody at all.  Especially if you post a cell number for which you are billed by the minute.

Pay your bills, and maybe they will stop calling.  It is amazing to me how few will admit any responsibility.  They aren't calling just to bug you, it is because you owe them and many of you are dead beats.

This number calls EVERYDAY at between 8:20 and 8:30 am.  When I pick up the phone it is a recording.  Most days there is no one at home during this time.  This caller does not need to call EVERYDAY.  This is obviously an attempt at harassment, otherwise they wouldnt need to call EVERYDAY.

they keep calling my work number and asking for someone else.  They keep calling.  Make them stop.  my work number is 916-414-4933.  stop calling. all my work calls are recorded.  my job will not tolerate this.

They tried calling me at 8 AM . Which if they are a collection Agency is illegal . They are required by law to call between certain hours. 8 AM is not one of them. They are not allowed to call before 9 AM. This  is another reason why I purchased a call blocker. Works great for me. You can block all 800 numbers and any other number you do not wish to receive a call from. I used to get several calls a week looking for someone who had my number previously . They continue to call anyway so now I just let them waste their time instead of mine.
