Phone gangster keeps asking me to enter my passcode before I am able to connect to the server to dial a prank call. Where do you find this passcode? I've tried for hours and came up with nothing.

Unfortunately, they're using your number to try to make the call. So when you press1 you will be the one connected to some random person that they set u up to talk to. This has never happened to me but I've used this service frequently and I know how to use it unlike those who have used ur number. The service  allows u to make unlimited calls but I guess they only allow u to try it for about 30 seconds each.

RECORDING SAID PRESS ONE TO CONNECT YOUR CALL WITHIN MINUTES ALSO RECEIVED A CALL FROM 888-289-153 THIS IS HOW IT APPEARS ON CALLER ID ON CELL PHONE. I PRESSED ONE AND GOT A FEMALE WHO SAID SHE DID NOT CALL ME ETC DIDN'T THINK TO ASK HER NUMBER WAS SO PUZZLED BY IT ALL.

i didnot reconize the number so i asked my husbend to answer and he did so it said press one and this man was asking for someone and then just hanged up

Never press a number, this could be allowing them to make charges to your phone.  If you don't know the number, always ignore it.  If it's important they will leave a message and then you'll know if it was meant for you or not.  

Also, never answer a number that doesn't display all the digits!  This number was one digit short of a REAL phone number.

It's a SCAM!

I got several call from this. I myself don't like pranks. I turned my issue/problem over to the local authorities. Let them trace it and prosecute the idiot having fun on my expense. It uses minutes, and it is harassment.

I got the same call at 4am, I didnt answer it the first time cuz i didnt hear it but sure enough it called back three times going to my machine, and i tried to call it back and it said plase enter your pin, i mean everyone hate getting 800 calls but come on people 4am, i thought somone died, it is deffently a scam it is 100 percent illegal to call that early anywhere!!!!!

Mike is VERY RIGHT...lol...its used to prank people...and it works just like he has said....im not sure how this is legal, because it can stir up LOTS of trouble....but it works wonders :)

If you got a call with this number as the caller ID, then someone put your number in as the CALLER number and when you get this call, you press 1 to connect to the TARGET number. I use this site all the time, I know what I'm talking about. Go to the Phone Gangster site, try it, and you will see.

Otherwise, we wouldn't be all getting the same Caller ID #.. if you could just enter whatever number you wished for the "caller"

When I pushed 1, I got my voicemail and was told to enter my Password.. Which I most certainly did not do.

This is a telephone/caller ID spoofing service called Phone Gangster. It is a website that allows you to put in your phone number, the victim's phone number, and the desired Caller ID. With this service you can call someone and make them think that someone else is calling.

If your number is input as the "caller", you will get a phone call from a machine that asks you to "Press 1 to connect". The call will then connect to the target party, with whatever the desired Caller ID is set to.

Got a call from this number at approximately 05:10 this morning. Several search engines on the internet turned up nothing. On a larf, I decided to call the number.

Ended up with a recording saying: "Welcome. Please enter your PIN number".

Through some experimentation, I determined that the required PIN is a nine digit number and the machine at the other end of the line terminates the call after three failed attempts.

I suspect that this is one of those scams where you are tricked into pressing "1" to connect to your "party" and then are charged a tremendous amount on your next month's phone bill for long distance charges or some such nonsense.

This number called my friend a couple times telling her to  press one to connect to her party and I was standing right next to her.  When she finally pressed one, I got a call from her number.  About 15 minutes later, the number called me saying the same thing.  I pressed one to see if it would call her back, but she said that she had a missed call from herself..very weird

i got a call from this number said to press one. When i pressed one it went to my ringtone when some one calls me. it then said call waiting the number of 911. i tried to end the call by pressing end. It would not let me so i had to take the battery out of my phone
