this is for overland park regional hospital to,, think its a credit collection, they are calling me even though i am making payments, i mean for real who can pay a whole hospital bill at once OMG

Actually a collection agency generally deals with past due accounts.  It sounds to me like they are more of a billing company. They don't even keep the accounts if they are not paid quickly. I just got a call from them for an event that happened just over a month ago.

By your own description that does make you a collection agency.  It also makes your company a prime example of what is wrong with health care in this country.

I work for this company, National Patient Account Services.  We are not a collection agency, we are a business office that resolves non-delinquent accounts.  We do not report to credit bureaus, as we are not a creditor.  Hospitals place accounts with us, and if the accounts are not resolved in a timely manner, we cannot keep them.  The accounts close, and the hospital may report to the credit bureau.  We have a centralized number because we handle more than two hundred hospitals.

got call from them today , claiming to be a "parkridge health services" .. and gave a central time zone information (which i didnt bother to write down) .. i think probably someone phishing for information.

The caller id simply said "call" and my missed calls list said "no number."  My husband answered one of their many calls, and they hung up.  I answered this morning and they were calling about some money I hadn't been billed for yet, but I know I do owe for an ER visit a couple months ago. Their info matches my info. This number is what the woman gave me when I asked if I could call back and pay the amount. It makes sense that it would be a patient billing group working for multiple hospitals.

The caller is identifying himself as being with Redmond Hopsital of Rome, Georgia. I think this is a scam, as we have paid our hospital bill in full.

Its a national billing/collection agency for past due medical bills.  I think if they was a reportable business, then they would fix there calling features.  All businesses should have to display there name and number when they call out to a private home number.  After all, they know who their calling.  They called me and I'm on the donotcall.gov list, which is supposed to mean they can't call me with out displaying either their name or number.

Called said they were from Capital Medical in Washington State, I gave them way too much info, before I got suspecious and stopped call.

They gave me a bill with my mother's info on it, saying I was the responsible party.  She hasn't been in the hospital for years, and definitely was not there when it says.  They want date of birth, address, and social security number.  Sorry but my college will only ask for my last 4 digits, and only my month and day, due to privacy laws.  This has to be a scam.

I called this number back - the recorded message said it was the National Patient Account Services.  I'm guessing this is for medical bills?

This company called our house today. They are claiming to be with a local hospital. I think that they are the collection agency that hospitals use to intimidate people.  They claim we owe $75.  We have just finished paying $7200 by monthly draft.  I told he caller that we could not have a balance as we were set up on payment plan.  Our insurance company paid them $40,000 about two weeks after my husband was discharged. His care there was excellent but their collection tactics are lacking.
