Il s'agit d'une voix enregistrée de femme, qui parle en anglais et excessivement rapidement et qui, comme le mentionnait "Montreal guy" plus haut, m'a demandé de peser sur le 1 ou le 3 sans que je puisse en saisir les raisons. J'ai raccroché tout simplement.En espérant qu'on découvre c'est qui et pourquoi..

This auto dialer called my number and they never talk...

So I have reported them to my phone company and they are now blocked permanently !!!

Whenever someone with a MajicJack voip account calls to canada, it will display this number.

I have been called by this phone number and what I had was a voice mail saying something about interest rates. rather strange when I have not borrowed any money from a bank and /or things like that. I 've heard that these calles are for whoeve makes them to be able to use your phone number to make long distance calls overseas. I've been asked to either press 1 to accpet t talk to somebody , or 3 to discontinue any further notices. I have done neither choice. and I strongly recommend you don't press any number. a Similar thing happens when an automated message tells you to press 1 because you've won a trip to Hawaii.

Yes, I live in montreal as well and got a call around 2:20 pm, got my answering machine and all that was there was the end of a recording so I can't make out much...

i just received a call from this number at 2:54pm, this is not the first time i have received a call from this number, and each time there is nobody on the other end, i live in montreal, quebec i dont know anyone far enough to use a calling card, so i am stumped on who this could

I called my mother using a MagicJack "voip" phone and she was seeing this number on her caller id.
It should have been a 313 area code. Sometimes the correct number (313) shows and sometimes the 212 number shows.

Just got a call on my work cell - used for emergency purposes only.  Someone with an accent, very hard to understand, said his records indicated that the cell was registered with Bell Mobility. Asked my name...I gave his the name of the company I worked for, and there was silence.  I finally ended up hanging up.

Suspicious for sure!

my mother called me twice today from a local city and instead of her number coming up on the call display, this 212-444-5000 came up. it is based in new york and we are located in B.C. something is very strange here1

I work at a Canadian university, I had a message from this number waiting this morning. A guy with an English accent saying he was calling from Russia and had dialed the wrong number. Repeated  many times in a sing-song voice. Very weird.

We're sorry for any disturbance this has caused. We're a retailer and not a telemarketing company. While this is our phone number it would never appear on a caller ID if we called out. We're upset about this and, as posted, are taking whatever steps are available to us to stop this. Again, our apologies for any misunderstanding.

This is correct. I received calls from this number, which appears as 212-444-5000 (a number from New York).  But, I found out that it was actually my Mom calling from overseas with a calling card.  Why 212-444-5000 shows up on my caller ID is beyond me.

I got multiple calls from this number. no answer from other side.

this number is so stupid y do they even call

Phoned July 4th at 3:20 pm no answer on the other end when I answered the call.

Beware - currently Convergia Networks - a long distance phone provider has picked up this number as a display so that no one can tell it is them when they call.  This number is actually registered to B&H Photo Video in New York who had no clue that this number was being used by them.  They are currently investigating what is going on.

Complaints are now being processed with the CRTC as Convergia is breaking a few of their Telemarketing rules:

****Telemarketers must display the originating calling number or an alternate number where the call originator can be reached (except where the number display is unavailable for technical reasons).

Please report this number to CRTC if this continues to happen

I got multiple calls from this number. All I heard were smacking noises of some sort.

2008 Jul 2, 18:40 - Just got a call from this number on a work phone, said they were from TELUS and asked how many phones were on the account...strange. It is a TELUS phone.  Called the number back and answering machine said theywere closed...it was a company called DNH.

C'était un message enregistré unilingue anglais. Cela fait deux fois qu'ils appellent.  Je trouve que c'est de la fraude.

yep phone card my uncle just tried to call it didn't go through so called 2 seconds later from his home phone...

This is a phone card number, It just means someone was calling you through a phone card most likely from overseas and sometimes the call doesnt connect properly

Got 2 calls from this number. One after midnight and one early the next morning. sounds like an automated call, silence then it disconnects

I got a call from this number on 4/15/08 and twice today 4/18/08 and they left a voicemail and in the voicemail you can hear the other side trying to do something

I received two calls within one minute on Sunday 17.02.2008, but no answer from other side of the line.
