I've received the same call today. Man's "police"voice provide me a tel number and a site. But the end of a site name was right:  cpa-acp  .ca
I've asked about the details. Where there are going to take special trainings  and what for that donation is. They haven't asked me any special question about number of card, my name, etc.The tel call was broke and I haven't receive any call back again.
 

Scam warned about on the radio this morning- just received such a call; they said they are the Canadian Police Association collecting for their Anti-Bullying program, called said their website is cpa-acp.com............the real website fro CPA is .ca not .com!!

I actually called Calgary Police non-emergency number to ask if this is a scam. I was told it is a scam. I think this number is also associate with 403-879-2688.

I have a reciept from 2013 with this phone number on,and it appears to be legite,as it is issued by the Canadian Police Association,Address Po.Box 318 Stn.A Ottawa. ,on the back there is info regarding the Bullying issue,under the Police Association Logo, but none of the numbers listed are labeled as a Charity NO.??????,i recieved a similer call today from
204 8004087,requesting donation for above mentioned issue, Unsure of ligitetimacy at this time.???

March 26, 2013 They sent us a request in the mail, after we refused to just give them our credit card # over the phone!  their address is PO Box 381 Stn A Ottawa On K1N 8V3.  Also there is NO registered charity # listed and they say "no receipt will be issued. thank you for your support"  !!  the plot thickens!!  please spread the word,  this must be a scam.

They are people associating themselves with the RCMP and saying they want donations for anti bullying programs. The lady went on and on about how bullying is such an issue nowadays and asked me if I would donate $120.00 for a few kids to sponsor. I told her no, and she went on her spiel again and then asked if I would donate a smaller amount. They are very pushy and I can see how someone may actually fall for this. I have followed up with my local detachment and there is no such thing going on, the RCMP do not call people asking for money.

Have been calling non stop. I googled the # so I've never answered it. Time to answer it and play with the idiots.

Called at 1 pm atlantic time. They were saying it was for bullying programs in schools to help stop them; I said we were on a budget and the woman went on about how it was a one call a year thing and when I said didn't have the money said that seniors don't have money. I hung up.

I also got a called today January 11th 2013, requesting to speak to Ms._____ but I replied that she does not speak good english and that I can inform her of what they want. It was so coincidental because they were calling to protect children of grades 1-3 in schools who are faced with Bullying and Cyber Bullying, and I thought it was part of my brothers school as he was facing some bullying so I was very convinced especially that they mentioned they are part of the Canadian Police Association. 1-800-378-0929 ...the guy kept insisting I go on the computer to pay $20 to $25.
Because of how unorganized they were I told the to call back when my father was here. But now that I found this website I am able to tell that this was just a SCAM call.

2 days ago on January 9th 2013 I got a call from people saying they are part of a BANK of CIBC and that it was very important for me to return there call ... 888-603-5478. SO BE aware of that number too as it is SCAM.

I just received this number and I picked up the phone. They claimed to be part of the "Police Association" but they were looking for my brother instead, so they'll be calling back tomorrow.
When I had looked at the ID, I thought it was peculiar since the "Police Association" even had a phone number, so I took the time to searched up the number and I am so fortunate to have learn it is a silly scam.
My brother and I shall disregard the phone call tomorrow, as I am sure they're determined to squeeze whatever penny we have in our pocket.

same here hang up when machine comes one, so far today 3 calls from 800-378-0929 says unknown caller but this time i saw the number come up on my tv this a.m  Who r they?

i have been getting a call everyday from that number ,just in the past week and still today 3 times today started at 7 am

Same old B.S.  Asked "Allan" for return number but said he can only make outgoing calls.  Called the 800 number back and hopefully someone will listen to the B.S. I gave them back.

Looking for donation for kids safety, suspicious, i said no to donation

Called my home phone number at 5:19 pm on Dec 12 2012 requesting donations to help the poor children of the world. Abbotsford BC Canada

Saw this number on my call display today, I googled and found this site.

I have a whistle I keep near the phone now and when I get these calls I tell them I'm not interested. If they don't immediately stop talking and hang up, I blow the whistle in their ear.

Needless to say I don't get a lot of these calls anymore. I guess these people didn't get the memo. Can't wait for them to call back so I can give them an 'ear full'.

I received a call today from this number asking for donation for a New Bullying Program for the kids of the community. A voice from a rude cop was asking for the donation and when I said yes he transferred the call to a woman who insisted to give her my Visa or MasterCard Credit Card numbers to made the donation but I asked for a different way to send the money but she insisted. Finally she asked for my postal code to send me a receipt so I can send a money order or a cheque. Now I know that this is a scam and I tried to call them back and they never answered. I'm worried because they now have my address......some advise????

Here is one solution to make the calls stop.....got a loud whistle or old flutaphone....blow it , could break an ear drum!! STOPS THE CALL!

Never ever give your credit card number out over the phone, The police would never ask you to. SCAM

received a call today from a woman asking for someone i don't know when i said you have the wrong number she proceded to say she's from the cops for kids in our area bla bla bla wanting money when i said no she tried to get aggressive with me so i told her very firmly that i do not give money over the phone nor do i give any info out period she hung up on me surprise surprise!!

they keep phjoning and hanging up on the answering machine  2 or 3 calls a day
