I want all numbers with area code 936 to stop calling me.  I get 6-8 calls a day. Enough is enough.

This number calls daily, even on weekends and holidays. If you answer, no one answers. My telephonw is on the do not call list yet it continues to call my telephone.

Tired of these calls eating all my cell minutes.  The lastest is from The Education Authority

do they have to call and call and call? Nope they don't I just blocked the number and i have no clue where in the heak they got it from!

Asked to be put on the National Do Not Call list, or ?DNC?. To make sure you are put on the national do not call list ask to speak to a supervisor. The education Authority is like a McDonalds franchise from DMI, so multiple call centers trying to make a quick buck will have your phone number. Ask which call center is calling you, and make note. They also record all conversations, so tell them if they continue to call you will report them to the FCC. DMI sells them bogus leads,  if you wanted to you could open up your own Education Authority!

Options;
Be nice to the agent and ask to be put on the do not call list.

If you have to lie tell the agent right away one of these disqualifiers;

*On Disability

*Enrolled in a School

*Loan Default

*Or speak another language, they only deal with English speaking people.

Never tell them to call back later, and don?t ever hang up the phone they take it as a ?Answering Machine? call back. Also if you say Wrong Number, they will pitch you, and if you hang up you will still be called back and pitched.

This call is from the education authority.. the calls come from you putting your info online. they call you to try to match you with schools n ur area. Ask to be placed on do not call list because hang ups or jus saying stop calling does nothing.. and there is more than one education authority with this same number showing or a 936 number so it may not be the same direct company. When u put ur info online several telemarketing companies pick up ur number so beware..

The caller asked for me, told them wasn't home. They said will try back again.

Got a call just now, googled it and found this site. Says on it  Lufkin TX. Don't know how some got the idea it's from a jail? I think people in jail can only call COLLECT (and I have Vonage phone service that doesn't allow accepting collect calls) I just didn't answer. Got another call earlier today and looked it up and said some "educational service" too.

"CallStation" is the software I've had for years and use to ZAP these people on ring #1 :).

Yesterday, I did a search from 'google.com'.  Then when I keyed google.com in the address bar again, I got a screen with the google logo saying I could win 1 of 3 things.  I choose an iPad and it went to a questionnaire that included a question about giving permission for someone to call me about education.

Well I checked and best I could tell this was still a "Google" site so I took a chance and answered "yes".
So far,I've had (4) calls from 936-671-7866 and no messages left since I did the questionnaire yesterday (I actually got tired and "X'ed" out before finishing.

If they want to give me an 'iPad' they've got my junk mail addy. If they catch me in the mood, I'll answer.
Otherwise,
Plan-B - I can have my computer answer on the first ring of that number and play a message for them.

    They call me at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don't know anyone from Texas and I don't fill out any  online surveys. Some random ( and I'm guessing fake ) Education Authority keeps and keeps on calling. I say stop. They say pointless Questions.

have advised this caller 4 times that mine is a "do not call #" but they continue to call - i have no business with them nor do i want any.

It is not a business call and it isn't from Verizon, I have At&t and have always had my bill payed on time, I got the call like 5 times a day, they say its an education agency, but I haven't done anything online to sign up for this, and the calls were getting very annoying, but then i simply had the number blocked.. you should consider the same if you want the calls to stop. They can't call if the number is blocked.

Someone needs to disconnect these people... for good!

I got a call from this number the last two (2) days.  I have been doing online job applications, and some of the questions asked when setting up an account with some of these job search sites asks if you would like to further your education. I have always clicked "no" but it doesn't seem to work.  I believe this is where they got my information. Just an FYI.  I just ignore the calls and when I'm really tired of them or they continue to call nonstop, then I'll answer and ask them to take me off their list. Just did that with this company, Education Authority, and they have removed me from their list.  They were actually polite.  Who knows, we'll see if I get any additional calls from this place.  The calls have stopped since I did this on Sunday, August 14, 2011.

From a company called the Education Authority saying that I requested information to continue education.  Have asked them not to call.  Please cease and desist calls.
