Got a call from a heavily accented man saying we owed an ambulance bill from a date in 2004.  We never used an ambulance in 2004.  Asked me to verify name and last 4 digits of SSN. (which I did not)  have also received calls from same heavily accented voice from  1 800 697 1234.  Calls from that number come several times a day.  One time they left a message saying it was concerning a personal buisness matter and to call back.

Even after I told the person from 1-800-379-6705 in the a.m. that who they were looking for was not at this number that they have the wrong number and told them my number is on the no call list they called back later this afternoon!

They said they were calling on behalf of the Deputy Sherrifs office and they were asking for my support (a donation).  When I asked them to send information in the mail because I do not give money over the phone, they hung up.  Sounds like some sort of scam to me.

I too received a call from the "Sherrifs Office" wanting a donation.  They wanted my credit card number and when I told them I would not give my number over the phone and to send me something in the mail instead they hung up.

I just got a call from this number, but didnt answer it.  they didn't leave a voice mail either.  seeing the word sheriff on the callre id spooked me, but reading this makes me feel better and yet it still frustrating.  I though that due to elections coming up it may have been some robocall thing, but it seems like its even lamer than that.

I got this call today and the letters under the number said  shf m.   I looked it up on the web and several sites came up. I didn't answer, they left a message that sounded like they were driving with the windows down..Like wind or just dead air. then they hung up.  I've been getting alot of those calls.  No voice, just dead air.  tech notes, astrology, a band website, sisters of holy farm.  Oh the list goes on.  I'm going to start blowing a whistle into the phone from now on.

I've gotten several of these calls from the shf m. on ID, number 800-379-6705.
She said she was calling from Zentell on "behalf" of the Michigan Sheriff's Dept.They were seeking donations.

I told the person I've asked for the LAST year to be taken OFF the call list.. I then hung up. I'm filing a complaint once again, I know it won't do any good, but does make me fill better. I think ALL companies should have to honor the No Call Registry... Need to send more complaints to our representatives as well.

They call & hang up on answer machine. It is a flim flam company who wants to scare you into giving youor social security number or credit card number. DONT ANSWER!

Claimed to be from the Michigan Sherriff's Assn.Don't think so because he claimed he had to have my credit card number before he could send me any info.

Just called, stopped ringing after two rings.. ticks me off, you try to get to the phone for NOTHING...grrrrrrrrrrrrr  I still think they need to honor the NO CALL List...even if they are suppose to be Non-profit !!!!

same as above 9:00 at night they call me never leaving a message.  i get stuff like this and mail scam lotteries and such constantly. somebody must have sold my info to these people.  drives me nuts.
