she said she was from Ct gas and electric...I instantly said please take me off your call list she responded with I assume you know why im calling, I was like I assume you want to convince me to switch to another company which im not interested in doing so please take me off your call list mid sentence she hung up...how rude I had no idea there was a possibility the were not a legit company IM JUST NOT INTERESTED The only time my house phone rings these days is from people like this that are not identified by caller id..what do u have to do to get them to STOP

I keep telling these people that I'm a renter and my utilities are included and not under my control. They don't care! They call almost every day just for the sake of being irritating. And, yes, I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. They don't care. They have no intention of doing legitimate business. They just call in order to bother people.

Relentless people. First guy got on, when he faltered the sales call, a 2nd guy gets on
and begins asking for information on the UI bill. Wants to see if we qualify for a better rate.

I ask the rate he's offering and he b/s talks me for a few minutes.

While he's talking I look on this web site and see nothing positive about this company.

I asked several times for their KW charge and every time he b/s talks and wants a POD number
from the bill. Did not give it to him. I don't know what could happen if I did give him this information.
Maybe it's like a PIN number on you account and then they could switch us without permission.

Be very careful with these folks. They talk fast and just don't sound/feel on the level.

I even told them the business was closed, the owner died, and he was still trying to sell me this deal.
Informing me that it would take 1-1/2 years to get through court/probate and we would still need electric.
Probate takes 6-months buddy, get your facts straight.
Owner died 3-months ago and people still try to sell you stuff... amazing.

One last thing, the caller id comes up as "Toll Free Caller". A real company would have their name on it.

Called the first time.
When I went to answer they hung up!
I called them back  and I lerarned that it was CT Gas & Electric wanting to reduce my electric bill.
B/S on that!!
I informed the dear darling female operator that this number was on the "DO NOT CALL" list and this was an "UNPUBLISHED" number.
I requested the dear darling female operator to remove my number from their lists and, she exhibited herself in a snippy way that she woul remove my number.
I don't like to be woken up by jerks who are into themselves.

This guy calls from a call center asking for the president of my company as if he is on a first name basis with the guy.

See notes regarding 800-210-9011.  Misleading sales tactics and anyone posting on this board that this company is somehow helpful is simply a wolf in sheep's clothing.  Although these calls fall outside the Telemarketing Sales Rule, they do violate the FTC's regulations pertaining to deceptive sales tactics.  Google "Operation Mirage" - educate yourself, I've found it irks the callers as much as if not more than it does me when I receive their calls every day so I now I derive some entertainment out of it.

exactly! they left three messages until i answered yesterday. "connecticut gas and electric company" haha

Message was "Lisa" from "Connecticut Gas and Electric", there is no such company LOL.  This is one of those energy rate reduction scams.
