they are pretending to be ComEd and demanding payment or service will be disconnected. it is a scam. they ask for you to go to a Walgreens or Speedway and get a prepay card, which you load, and then provide them the card number, and they take the money and run!!!

I am receiving call from this phone number, I have not any debt pending with any institution or bank. Seven years ago I had a debt with Jackson Memorial Hospital and I paid this debt totaly. I have sent three or four times proofs about my payments. Seem that they are selling the information to others companies after recieve the proof of debt cancelled.

I have reported them to Bureau of Consumer Protection and other organizations and nothing.

I have received call from this phone number for marketing too.

Lady called for past due bill for SEXY TIME.  I tell her she lousier than iranian woman with general herpeas, and I would never pay no matter how serious matter she say it is.  She say I am rude, only thing I like is person calling is also from middle east like me.  i imagine americans get annoyed by these foreign people collecting on their SEXY TIME debts.  oh well, they live like kings while we stare at our womens ankles....

Niagara Credit they keep  calling a place of business in regards to a person who is not on our phone list. Thay have called repaeatedly to only be denied.When they call we only get a recorded message. I went through all of the automated systems to be removed from their list only they still keep calling. These types of calls are ILLEGAL!!!!! I guess the next time thay call I will report them to the FCC.

They are calling my parents also.  They have gone to the extent that they told my parents that they are looking for me to offer me a job!!!!  I haven't used my parents' phone number for over 20 years!!!!  CLass action anyone?

They called my 83 and 84 year old parents and told them I missed a court date, lie. My father has terminal cancer and this call upset him so much that they almost had to bring him to the emergency room. I emailed rmorano@niagaracs.com and told him if they called my parents agin I would initiate civil action against them. We'll see what happens.

I received a call and the msg said "I am calling in regards to someone who might be your family member. PLEASE call me back!"  I thought for a minute that someone in my family was in an accident and unable to communicate clearly or something horrible had happened!  Turns out, I call the number and it's a collection agency and they were looking for someone who used to have my new phone number. I thought that's ricidulous to leave a message basically LYING about what you're calling for!  How immature and unprofessional! I am so sick of Niagra Credit calling my home looking for Erin or Aaron Cramer of Kramer.  I have repeatedly told them this is not his/her number and I have had this number for over a year now.  I am sick of being bothered by these calls up to 8 x a day!!!!

They call & I let it go to my recording and it is a recorded message. So I can't blow my hockey whistle in their ear, they call at 8am and I know that they are not suppose to call before 9am.

I had a woman named sonja admit that she had the wrong number. She followed by stating that I was a "do***ebag" for not explaining to her sooner that she had the wrong number.  When I requested to speak to her boss, she promptly disconnected.  The great part is that if you feel like calling this number back, you can!  After a few phone returned calls, I'm bored, and sonja is pissed.

I have had a man call my cell and my work number for a business I do not recognize so I am only to assume this is someone attempting to steel my identity and not a credit problem. Anyone who calls a place of business and uses a persons nickname is obviously not professional at all.

Over the past couple of years (at least) calls have been received at my home from ththe above listed  number for Candice (not sure of spelling) Fields.  My wife and I have responded MANY times that no one lives here by that name nor have we ever heard of that person.  We have also MANY times told them NOT to call here anymore but to no avail.  We are tired of these harrassing phone calls and want this company to immediately cease their calls to my home. Lately we hang up immediately when we hear their computer generated message to please hold for an important call for Candice Fields.

I get calls with caller id that says toll free call.. I have caller id and don't answer calls I don't recognise.
We just got the number we have now a few months ago and the folks  that had it before us must have skipped out on lots of bills cause we are getting call after call after call not only from this number but from every other debt collectors too.

I was told it was the County Clerks office in a county i've never been to or heard of. I was told to return the call regarding an important matter.. Before reading this I was concerned someone had die or someone was in trouble.
Tell the truth people...It's nuts.

If you want the calls to stop, dont ignore them, just request no more calls. You can email their vice president - rmorano@niagaracs.com . Provide your phone number and request no more calls. The calls will stop. I received calls from them and once i sent the email request for no calls i didnt receive another phone call. It was that easy.

They keep calling me and when I tell them to mail me info with some proof of this debt they say ok they will and I never get anything from them. Sounds like a scam to me? They call and threaten to garnish my wages and the guy is very rude. Im sick of them calling me and if they cant provide and paperwork how can I get them to stop calling?

They are probably looking for the person who had your number before you got it.  

Put the number in your contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring".  It will make the calls easier to ignore.

I have a NEW cell phone & this number calls daily & leaves a very vague message to return their call.  I HAVE NO DEBT!  ???  I am on the donotcall list.

yeah.. DNC list doesn't work for creditors. That is a dead end. Try new phone numbers or forwarding the numbers you have. I never cancel the numbers my creditors have. I just forward them. For example: One is on my nextel two line phone (20 extra bucks a month) and it forwards (ringer is silent) to Google voice which sometimes I review months later, giggling. Google gives you a transcript of these very desperate $9 an hour losers/idiots/anger management flunkees/DV felons trying in tragically vain deception to get me to respond. LMMFAO. The Google transcript is (or can be - can't remember if I had to set it up) forwarded to your Gmail address. Good luck kids. Smaller debts drop off after 7 years (most states) but, remember THAT CREDITOR IS DEAD TO YOU AND WILL KEEP THAT DEBT ON RECORD. Larger debts may end up before a judge and a court ordered judgement placed. THAT debt is a stain that eventually will be dealt with even in the event of your death WITH INTEREST! Have fun everyone.

Very true, we were in the same situation and we filed BK to release the rest of the loan. Our bank,  Countrywide screwed us on our home loan as they did thousands of others which put us into this position.

i received a call from  them saying i owe $142 in late charges at movie gallery.  I do or did have an account there but i abosolutly did not rent anything from them for since probably 2008.  they say i rented something in march 2010.  how do i get this to stop?

You all also need to keep in mind that they are only a collection agency.  They cannot garnish your wages, take your property, or anything else.  It takes a judgement to do that, and they don't have it as they are not the original creditor.  Further, there's a very good chance that the debt is long past the statute of limitations for being collectable.

So, bottom line, all they can really do is harass you and play with your credit report illegally.  As I stated in my previous post, start a letter writing campaign, then take them to small claims court when they don't abide by the rules of the FCRA.  Cost is usually about $50 to file, maximum amounts you can sue for range, but in our state it's about $3000.  Sue for the maximum.

There is an EXCELLENT chance that they won't bother to show up in your state for the case, which means they LOSE THE CASE BY DEFAULT.  You now have a judgement against them for $3000.

Small claims court won't get them to stop harassing you as they can only award money damages, but hey, $3000 goes a long way towards healing my "pain" and knowing that the tables have been turned.

deceitful looser called mother in law, wife, and self within 20 minutes asking for someone who I dont know. very tricky questions. are they wanting to steal one's identity????
