unwanted calls
| InuKun 2014-05-15 19:18:11 Unknown |
The problem with that is knowing who the caller actually is. Spammers will give false information and use VoIP to call you, in which they can put in any number for caller ID that they like (even 911). That way, they can try to phish your personal details from you, and you are stuck without recourse. They can even use a legit company's number, but ave nothing to do with that company.

Just use the Mr Number app in the Google store. When a call comes in which you've marked as being a spam caller, the program will kick the call. Your phone doesn't ring, and you get the peace of mind knowing that the call never got through to you. A pop up will come up though to let you know that the app blocked the call. It also blocks spam texts.

A guy from the 1-800-383-7581 called me to ask about extending a warranty on my car. I told him NO! at least 15 times. He was telling me I had to extend the warranty or I would regret it. I told him no several more times. He was then yelling at me. I asked him, "Do I have to." He kept telling me I need to. I got mad and said, OK then I will!" He said he will cost $1.99 to get started. I told him that was too much. I was mad at that point and was starting to mess with him as he would not take no for an answer. After back and forth of telling him $1.99 was too much, I told him I was putting the car in the Auto Trader tomorrow. He really got mad and yelled about why I did not tell him this in the first place. ( I am not really). I told him, because he would not take no for an answer. He finally hung up.
I have never had any sales person, no matter how pushy yell and be so horrible and aggressive with me ever.

If this company is doing "robocalling" on your cell phone, you can sue the company and can get between $500 to $1500 for each violation, depending on whether the violation is "willful" or not The lawyers' site says, "Robocalls refer to calls made using an autodialer or which contain a pre-recorded message."
| ManuelP 2014-04-03 18:50:47 Unknown |
Got 3 calls on my cell 4/1 and 4 calls on 4/2. I saw lawyer TV ad you can sue for unauthorized call on your cell and I think you can collect a thousand bucks (need to confirm this). I'll be happy to sue this company. Please stop calling.

I've had 3 calls from them in the past couple of weeks. They are calling about the warranty on my car and wanting me to extend it. My warranty is with the auto manufacturer and if I wanted to extend it, I'd deal with them. Not with someone who won't even identify the company they're with (caller says he/she is with the 'activation department'). When I ask the name of the company, all the callers just continue reading their 'script'. Just another scam.

Numerous calls, just received another a few moments ago to which I heard music & not "Elevator Music" these constant calls are Harrasment. Blocking the # seems to be the way to end such irritating calls. These callers have no Integrity & it's Shameful.

Calling my cell phone. If I wanted to buy something, I 'd do my own research and call them. Luckily, my cell phone has the ability to block numbers -unfortunately it maxes out at 100. It ought to be illegal for companies to sell our information. What a crappy way to do business.

I am supposed to be on NO CALL LIST, and I get this 800 call.....I do not answer. They do not leave a message!

Here's something interesting...I live in a apartment building, that has more security than Fort Knox. Keys to get in this door, and that door, card readers..etc. I even live on the second floor. So why in the hell would I need a ADT security system? Besides...if anyone ever tried..and I mean tired to break into my apt. Good luck with that! if you don't mind coming face to face with a 44 mag.
I certainly don't need no stink'n security system...really! Besides...I'd just sic my cat on you! LOL
For these low life scam artists, they have nothing better to do than steal from society. I understand that there are people out there that need a job, and are willing to degrade themselves to work for such blood sucking employers, who don't give a crap about them in the first place.
Hey...I just read that Amazon.com has 7,000 openings at all their distribution centers, including benefits. Get out from behind that damn phone and go get a real job!!
