Do not pay them.  They are what you call a send money shceme.  The BBB does not know how they got anyones' info.  Also the attorney for NJ told me about this scheme. They have to communicate with you through ceritified mail.  Do not be scared you can not go to jail for debt.    If its not on your credit report do not pay it.

I hope you verified the debt.  Just because they have somewhat accurate info doesn't mean anything.  Get everything in writing, and verify that they are even a legit company, and find out how they came into possession of this loan/credit care/ etc. that you apparently do owe money on.  And post their company name and info here so people can search it and see what pops up.  You might be giving money to who-knows-who and it will not reduce the actual debt you owe to the legitimate holder one bit.

If they are legit how about a company name?  Mailing address, etc?  Just because they have relatively accurate info in no way confirms their legitimacy to collect a debt.  That is part of the scam.  I hope you got actual verification of the debt and checked the statute of limitations, documentation, so on and so forth.

They called mine.  I was livid so I called them back to gave them a piece of my mind.  I told them not to call my work and they told me what it was about.  Unfortunately now I'm making payments cuz I do owe them money.  Ugh.  At least it'll be over and I won't get calls at work though.

These guys claim to be either Hudson Parker or Hearshe Kemp. They answer unprofessionally and just say "hello?" lol like you would at home. You would think if it was a professional business that they would say "hello Hudson Parker or Hearshe Kemp how can I help you or direct your call?" I called them twice (cause personally I get a kick out of messing with these scam collection agencies, esp. when they claim to be a lawyer and threaten to take me to court) and the first guy said he was steve and then i call back after "steve" hung up on me and the next guy sounded JUST like steve but he said he was "john"...hmmmmmm. When he wouldnt answer any questions I asked I started to get mad and i started throwing at him how i know these games fraudulent collection agencies play. So he puts me on hold and then i hear "this call is being recorded, if you wish not to be recorded opt out" lol oh my. he gets back on the line and says i want to record this call so i can make sure everything is being told as true. ummmm surre buddy go ahead. Basically, he was trying to scare me into thinking i was in some huge trouble for a debt that is so old there is nothing they can really do. Do i plan on taking care of all my debt? yes. when? i do it one by one as i can. Dont be bothered by these people they are mean and just trying to make a buck.

This number is for a firm that deals with peoples debt. Not sure exactly what you call it, but I compared the info they told me about my credit card with my credit report ... and it was accurate. So I am now paying them so I don't have to deal with it in court. Unfortunately they are legit.
