Call and say they are some community service association

They call me every 1/2 hour or so

I have been receiving about 20 phone calls from them a day. I tell them that I am in the registry and to take me off their lists, but they continue to call at all times of day. I am positive they are a telemarketing organization, using Child Cancer FD as an alias. It is harassment and is illegal. They deserve to be fined heavily!!!

getting 3-4 calls a day. i keep telling them to stop calling, but without success. they call everyday of week. i dont answer anymore, but still find their continous calls to be annoying as i stop what im doing to look at caller id when phone rings. im ready to change my number and go unlisted if i thought that would help. is this legal what they are doing?

keep getting calls from this number since 4 months, i never answer the call when i see their number. it's one of those scam calls. i might try to call my provider and tell them to block the number.

I get the same thing, I turn up the TV and let them keeo saying hello until they hang up.  LOL!  It's funny to hear them sreaming over the TV.

I am getting constant calls. Annoying. I don't pick up.  They call several times a day, sometimes close to a couple minutes apart.

I answered the 'phone like I usually do---stating our 2 last names and what room I am in. There was a timid, "Hello?" I said, "Hello . . . ." This was followed by a question that was shouted for the last part, "Mrs WHEEZER?!" (pronouncing my real last name correctly, I might add). I said, "Yes," even though I am not Mrs. They hung up.

I called *69 and was given 18003871425. I called it. "The number cannot be reached." Oh.

I then plugged it into an internet search and arrived at this site after reporting to another site.  I figure the more places it appears, the better it is.

Additionally, related to others' comments, I looked up Children's Cancer Fund and they have a different in-watts number as does the Children's Cancer Fund of America.  It is likely that these calls that we are receiving are scams and that the scammers are using the names of legitimate charities.

To the person who stated that they are on the Do Not Call list:  the call list does not apply to charities, political calls, research surveys or crooks/scammers.  I, too, am on that list.

I have also received calls from these people.  Last time I said that I would donate. When they sent me the donation information I researched BBB and send them a copy of the BBB Report to the mailing address for the donation as well as to the CEO of the company along with a letter saying that due to the report I would not be donating and they should take me off their list.  Now it has been six months since my last call.  It's worth a try!  You could also send a copy to their local government who should look into the company.  The reason I said that I would donate is it is important to get the correct company name and address in order to make a valid complaint all the relevant info is on the donation paperwork that they send you.

I get many calls from 800-387-1425, if I don't answer they don't leave a message, they just persist on calling over and over again.  I don't pick any calls with 800 or 866 and with an unknown number, but I keep getting calls.  Other times the call ID reads Private Number and they also don't leave a message.

I have registered on the Do-Not-Call-List over and over again my regular phone line, my fax and my cells and I'm still getting calls.  I'm beginning to wonder if the Do-Not-Call-List is just another useless agency.

What can I do?????

They call 3-4 times a day, I asked to stop calling but, still keep calling!!

They call 3-4 times a day, even though my business voicemail picks up, they continue to call...even on Sunday and late at night!

Calls 2-3 times in a row every so often, then stops for a month or so and then it starts up again.  We do not pick up 800 or unknown callers at our home.

I called our local police station and they said the best way to handle this where something will actually get done is to call your state's Attorney General's Office. Keep track of how often they call (date and times) and the AG's office will send you a complaint form in the mail for you to fill out. They have the authority to investigate and find out who is paying for that number. They will also report back. I am having the same problem with this number and the people are so rude that and can't help but think it's a scam. Good luck.

We get a call from this number 4-6 times a day.  We have quit answering.
Today some woman is yelling into the phone "I's tryin to help ya." Then starts screaming. I called back & got a recording stating Childrens Cancer Fund of America.  If they really are the Childrens Cancer Fund of America, they sure aren't going to get a dime from me this way.  

I suppose to be on the do not call list.  How come they keep calling?

Another of those annoying everyday phone calls from Children Cancer Fund of America. Not sure if they are a ligit "non-profit."

they call i don't answer it .

This number is calling 6 times a day asking for money.  They are saying that they are a Charitable Organization (Childrens's Cancer).  I told them I was not sending any money and not to call back, but they are calling every day and several times. What can I do?

Ihave been getting a phone calll from this number  for the last 4 months,sometimes they call 6 or 7 times a day every day 7 days a week from 8 am untill 9pm

I get calls from this number about 4 times everyday.  I have told the lady that I am not interested and she starts screaming that she is trying to help sick people!!  Is there no way this can be banned ????

Call at least 3 times a day, from morning to night. No message.
How do I stop them?

Incessant calling.  No message. Obviously it's a charity, it says
'Child.Cancer' on caller ID.  I do not pick up.  They have called me about 4-5 times today. They call every day lately.

This is for the Children's Cancer Center to help raise money.  They call everyday, 6-8 times a day, sometimes two times in a row.  Finally my husband told them we could not help and got off the phone quickly.  Five minutes later they called again and the lady was EXTREMELY rude to my husband who asked her VERY nicely to take us off their calling list.  Unfortunately, they will never get a donation from me.

I called the Attorney General and filed a complaint. If more people do that, perhaps we can get them to stop their incessant calling.  You need to be on the Do Not Call Registry to file the complaint. The phone # to file is 888-382-1222

This number calls, does not leave a message but gives a busy signal on message machine.

I never leaves a message on my answering machine when answer I get slince... typical its a scam I mean if its a Legit caller they would leave a message but none... I wish the Do not call would help with Fund raisers cuz thats where the loop hole is at =/ any ways what can I Do? Tell people what is happening and hopefuly put a stop to this!

800-387-1425 calls 3-8 times a day,after checking them out and reading posts about them, i confronted my mother-n-law and found out she had previously given money to them. i looked them up at my local state charity registration and called the number they have in their registry. The number given belong to a private resident that didnt have any idea what CCFA was.I then tried to contact the 800 number and got a message, as normal they called back again this evening and when i inquired about the phone number they used to register here in my state,the lady got very agitated and began yelling i didnt know what i was talking about,that i was stupid,when i informed here that i had contacted my states attorney generals office she yelled "whateva" and hung up.
