Unwelcome calls on my cell #...or any other #....only one of many #'s because everybody wants to take advantage of a disabled person...always trying to sell more supplemental insurance or etc...etc....this one is an auto dialer and I've held on for several minutes after answering ...no responce. Others on the web say it's a collection agency.
COLLECTORS or SOLICITORS, BUY LAW can't call before 9:00 A.M. or after 8:00 P.M.,in your time zone and not at all on Sunday. They continually abuse this. I was called at church time last Sunday....thank goodness I had the phone on silent...but still a bother and completely illegal....BLOCK THEM OR SILENCE THEM. HERE'S HOW.
Some carriers charge a buck or so per month to silence each number, but best free thing you can do is make up a name of your choice for a contact person in your phone, add each # that you do not want to be bothered with, then set the personalized ringer to SILENT. 800-387-4533 called me today wanted to talk to my daughter and I said she is not here and they harassed me, said were is she, I said who are you the woman told me she could not tell me who she was, this went on for awhile she was hateful and mean, I said if you want me to tell my daughter you called then you have to tell me who you are, then she said she couldn't tell me what it is about or what company they were but finally told me her name Kay Thomsom said for my daughter to call 1800-387-4533 ext 2457 got really hateful with me told me she had better call I don't like being harassed when I have done nothing wrong.

They just called my dad and Left the Foti message (look it up regarding FDCPA law). I plan on having hims sue them. Bwa hahaha what an easy 1k.

Thank you for your comments, i am getting threatend by these people as well they wont make a deal with me that is reasonable for my account. Ive been told i am a deadbeat, my name means nothing and they dont care if i work or not. Last woman told me well then the hell with you its going to f*** up and yes used those words my credit score. They are also saying that the are going to have my 2 other accounts closed if i dont agree to 2 payments right now.. i have called att and they said the apologize but have no control of these people from nrs. Those people (bill collectors) on the other end really do not take in consideration that their are a lot of people out here today who were able to pay their bills ON TIME, and a life change happen. I totally agree with your comment, people who are living pay check to pay check are not going out creating debt, but just trying to meet their needs and family needs.

Received a call but didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  Caller ID displayed '800 Service'.  A message was left asking about a debt a person I didn't know owes.  The message asked that I call back immediately which I didn't do.

Didn't answer when the call came because I didn't recognize the number.  I knew nobody would be calling me from an 800 number.  It's some kind of scam.  Caller ID only displayed "800 Service".

They don't care about the Do Not Call list, because they are calling me, and I've been on it since May. As for contacting a lawyer, most won't waste an hour out of their day even considering the problem unless there's cash on  the table to burn a few hours.

Idealistic, but somewhat polyanna. They buy debts for pennies on the dollar speculating they will get somebody to pay up just to stop the harassment.

Have called ten times from July to October 2011. I don't answer because I work retail. Surfed the internet, discovered their origin, and put them on auto reject. Now they show up as another denied call, and no lost minutes on my pay as you go phone.

I'm debt free, own my house and cars, so it's not an issue of owing anyone a dime. For me, it's just another   scam number denied. Nice chuckle when I check my call log.

These people have been calling me for MONTHS about AT&T mobile.  This morning I answered, told them they have the wrong number, asked who it was and he said "there's nothing you can do about it anyways if we have the wrong number" and i said "yes I can, you call 5 times a day, that's a FCC violation" and he hung up on me =)

We received a call today. I told him I didn't owe anything and he said the company "does not just send out bills 'willy nilly'  and the only way to get this cleared up was to give him my credit card number" I called AT&T and they said they had NOT turned me over to a collection agency, because I do NOT owe them money and if they did they would have a record of any calls I received from that collection agency and they have NO RECORD of any calls.  Plus someone told me that if you are turned over to a collection agency you would receive a letter in the mail first and we never have received a letter.

I as many have said use to belong to AT&T but don't any more. I keep getting called saying I owe money but AT&T says I don't so I ignore them.
