It's OIC Credit Collections. I believe they mainly do medical accounts. I had a small debt I wasn't aware of which went to them, called them back and the woman was very polite about it. She also said that it wasn't reported to the credit bureaus yet.

My mistake. It's OSI Credit Collections, not OIC.

Left a message that they have personal business matter for our phone number. Did not say who they are. Did say to call during business hours 8am to 4pm Monday-Saturday Central Time.

Just got a call from them. They left voicemail message (young guy) and he identified himself as a collection agent with OSI and left the spiel about how this is an attempt to collect a debt and any information collected will be used for that purpose.
I'm a payment plan with my hospital and they (once again) probably sent the bill out to collection even though I've been paying per agreement. They do this routinely but this isn't their usual agency.
Grrrrr.

Harrassing

They won't stop calling....I get the same type of message. "Calling about a personal business matter". The only thing I can think of is a partial co-pay of $15 for a hospital visit in which they undercharged me. I kept getting billed for it and never paid it.

Sometimes, they leave a message; most of the time they hang up. Even if you answer, it is a message asking you to call back. Then you try to call back and you get to answer the computers questions and hold. Even if legit and safe this time, its exactly the sort of thing people should ignore, correct?
Thye rule is: Give no personal information to unknown parties, including even identifying yourself. These people are caqlling your telephone and they need to conduct their business properly. How caqn someone say they were pepolit when the initial contact is rude and unnerving. It, at least, violates the spirit of the law, if not the letter. I think its harassment.

Likewise. It was a dumb $25 bill that fell through the cracks and for whatever reason I wasn't getting from the hospital. The woman I spoke to was polite and friendly and told me that it wasn't reported to the credit bureaus yet. We also had a good chukle when she asked (obviously per the script) if I wanted to set up a payment plan. I told her I didn't think that'd be necessary for twenty-five bucks.

OSI Collections agency, for a legitimate medical collections issue for a hospital. Called back, they were polite. Hate dealing with collections, but they weren't bad.

This is OSI Collections Agency. Further discussion showed that they were calling about a bill that had been paid months ago.

The next time I called, the call went through to an OSI Collection Services.

The phone number appears to be invalid. When I tried calling (hoping to get our number off their list) I received a generic message saying that the number or area code was invalid.

We get this message about once a week. Today (8/23/07) it was a young female voice.
925am

Left a message this time (7-2-07), that they have personal business matter for our phone number. Did not say who they are. Did say to call during business hours 8am to 4pm Monday-Saturday Central Time.
Is there a way to find out who is calling?
Or somewhere to file a complaint?
