Somebody has been calling me for the past 5 days. They call at different times and when I answer nobody is there.

I received this call many times.I do not answer.Is there a law against these unsolicited calls

When I called this number back, a recorded message identified it as CIBC.

I'm still getting those call from CIBC.
Once a day, sometime two.

I asked them to stop.
Their DNC list takes one month to take effect, they told me.
It is utterly ridiculous.

They'll bother me again for 20 days.
Makes me want to change bank.

It's CIBC calling... Had no problems with them at all, they're calling because you have an unpaid balance on your credit card it isn't telemarketing its the collection department. I called them back an it was CIBC automated system saying if English press 1 and so on..anyone who called back an didnt get through should have... Weird

i dont bother to pick  up all the 1 800, 1 877 or other's
, i dont have anything to do with them anymore

I called the number back - It's the CIBC Bank calling about an offer for their insurance. The recording allows you to leave your number to opt out of any future calls, stating that it ay take up to 31 days for your request to go through. I left mine ... let's see what happens now!

have been  getting  blank calls from this  number so today laid in wait for  it and when  the call  came  i answered and it  was  George Mpilalis from Gemma  communications   calling on behalf of sears
i have warned him  that  he will be  reported  if he makes one  more  call to  my number

keep getting this call and they do not leave a number and i do not want them phoning do not answer to people who i do not know so please quit phoning and take my name off of your phone

call back the number its cibc..  chose language ..  and after this ..  lets your number whits option 1 to retire your number of the liste ...

I am a CIBC telemarketing harrassment victim as well. I wrote a long note about it here, on Dec 15 2012. The one thing I did not think of doing was to include keywords for search engines to find my message on line! Good idea!

I am located in Canada, where my number is listed in the national registry of individuals that DO NOT want to be solli cited on their private phones. Yet, I have been receiving several calls a week, on my cellphone, for over two weeks from this  1-800-391-7765 number. Since I have Caller ID, I could see the calling number without picking up the call... They never left any message. This badgering calling pattern is akin to being stalked. I decided to investigate the matter, calling from a VOIP internet line so that I could dig into the matter without being blocked myself. I have a recording of the matter which I will pass along to the appropriate governmental consumer protection agency. The call came from a an agency whose automated message claims to be fom CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce), referrencing an attempt to sell me an insurance policy.

This is harrassment! LEAVE ME ALONE! I DONT WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

I am located in the 514 area code (Montreal, Quebec). I got a call on my cell phone around 16:45 on wednesday Dec 5 2012. My caller ID displayed the number 1 800 391-7765. Since I have been targetted by a slew of dial-a-con artists lately, I did not answer, and the caller left no message.  This type of call is the very reason why I added "Display Called ID" to my phone package.

*** Note that I am a Videotron customer, not a Roger one. This implies that these fellows are phishing all over the place.

The call is from CIBC..you all wonder who it is..why dont you just call the number back to find out..not rocket science

Calling every night.  Claiming to be a courtesy call for CIBC.

Just got a call and this time someone was on the line.  She said it was CIBC offering me life insurance in case I die ...... I said to her (acting smart of course) why would I want life insurance if I am dead?   She answered .... hmmm not sure about that but maybe you could give it to someone.  I felt like saying, how am I going to give it if I am dead?  but I decided to cut the call short and hang up!
