I check this site for numbers I don't recognize on a regular basis.  Got a call from 800-394-0368, found out it was Continental Finance.  Their payment was due today, just a courtesy call.  I decided what the hell, I'll pay 'em off while I got 'em on the phone.  

No more 36% card with a $7/month servicing fee!  YAY!!!!

I had this card. I closed the account. They harass even when account is paid. I never paid late and they still call. Fees are through the roof! If you want to build credit, apply to Capital One. Much better company and they aren't jerks.

These idiots keep calling me back to back--who does that!?!?!?! I had this card to rebuild my credit, I've had this card for over a year and a honestly forgot to pay (my fault) on the due date and immediately paid first thing in the morning the next day. I was hit with a $35 late fee plus the next's month payment which threw my card in to over the limit. A guy called my office phone several times I finally picked up & answered and said do you not see where I just made my payment Sir!! Every since then because of one late payment which has threw my entire balance over limit no grace or mercy with Continental Finance, but here's the thing I had always paid my bill on time, never missed a payment and always paid small amount even though the payment wasn't due. This has happened with other credit cards, and when I called to advise of the situation I get the fee waived because they look at my payment history that I've never been late, if I was a regular in paying late I can see stacking the charges on me. I'll be putting the little Discover card in my shredder and mailing back to them with a nasty note!!!

I got a call from the above number at 845am, the rep asked for me by my first name, did not identify herself, what company, etc, she kept asking for me by my first name and said i cant hear you and sounded like she was chewing gum. I hung up, went to my computer and put in the number and read your posts. I called them and the rep, identified himself and company and verified my account, I explained what happened and asked for a supervisor who listened and apologized for the rep. I simply stated to him, that businesses do not ask for customers by their first name, thats disrespectful, although the intent is to collect a payment, I dont have to accept disrepect,In any event the call was concluded with the supervisor stating he will be addressing the issue with the rep.

This is Continental Finance (Matrix Card) credit card company. They said they were giving me a courtesy call to let me know that I had a payment due today. A "courtesy" would have been to wait and see if the payment was late first which if the payment is due today, then it isn't late. I politely informed them that I had previously scheduled a payment for today's date (of which the payment was the total account balance) because I pay my credit card to zero every month (really every paycheck bi-weekly) to avoid interest. So for them to have called me, who has never been late once, who pays off any charges I have incurred ever two weeks (gas charges) was a waste of time. Spend your auto dialer, before 9 am, on my cell phone, while I am at work time on someone who carries a balance, and always pays late. I'm not that person... My 1 year with these people are up April 4th, I will be canceling the card anyway, as I am not paying an annual fee on nobody's credit card. Perfect payments, and no balance increase I'll take my business elsewhere.

They call on the date the bill is due if it has not been paid.  800-394-0368  our balance was $55.00 - so stupid.

I get the same thing as everyone is reporting  ... Up to 10 plus calls a day! My card just changed and was bought out by continental. I received 2 letters saying the change was happening but never got a new card let alone I called them and updated the address and still NOTHING ... January came and I had no way to log into anything to pay my bill so I called! They made me pay over the phone and charged me $10 to do so ... Fine I did to want my card to be late ... Still. Got a late payment but they reluctantly refunded it... Feb came and time to pay again and my payment due was double what it has ever been ... I paid the normal amount and now it's saying I owe almost $200! No way am I paying bc they are stupid and what they supposedly tell you never changes in their computer ... Just wait to see if they call again bc I'm going off !!! Not to mention canceling the card after it's paid!!!  I never had a problem with discover or matrix but have had one after another with this dang continental

It is illegal for them to call and harass you at work, tell them it is your work number and not to call.

I want them to stop calling me. They call me several times a day. I just called back and it is some type of medalert thing.

The "do not call rule" does not apply to the original creditor if your payment Is late.  Fdcpa applies only to collection agencies.

They call repeatedly, so much that I don't even bother answering. What a joke that they are allowed to call so many times. I thought there were laws and regulations for that kind of stuff, it is total harrasment. Once I get this card paid off I will be cancleing it for sure.

This is NOT the only number they call from....I make my payments on time, but just once i sent $5.00 less ( not intended to) and they are now calling me up to 8 times a day!!!!!!!!!......I am going to contact the Indiana ATG and ask them about the multiple calls at my place of employment and on my cell.

The "many" numbers they use are endless,  But the most called are 800-394-0368---unavailable----866-451-8939 and 716-844-3197....

Since August first when i made my payment, they have called both work and cell 6 times a day (total 12 calls) from 7:30 a to 8:30 pm.

I have all dates and times recorded and will be submitting to AG....and i will be paying the balance (less than $300.00) in full and telling them to shove this card up their A**!!!!!

These jerks called my wife today at 6am.

Harass my phone five minutes apart then half hour apart and I don't even use this company.  No one talks when I say hello.   Annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!  What they want I'm unsure cuz no one talks back.

They do this all the time. They are trying to pressure you to make a payment with them to stop the calls. The thing is they charge a fee to take the payment.

I RECEIVED PHONE CALLS FROM BOTH NUMBERS SEVERAL TIMES A DAY AND THEY DONT LEAVE A MESSAGE. I HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM BUT AM MAKING PAYMENTS BUT I GUESS ITS NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM. THEY CONTINUE TO HARASS ME FOR ADDITIONAL MONEY. I HAVE REFERRED THE ACCOUNT TO A DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY AND THEY WILL HELP DEAL WITH THEM. IF THE CALLS CONTINUE, I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE FTC.

They have been calling our phone and we have a block we can put on their number. Ours is paid off and they still call. Outrageous interest rates and they are a big rip off! DO NOT get a card from them.

My payment is not due yet, and they called me at least 4 times today.  They will give them their measly few hundred bucks and I will close this account ASAP!  I had no idea what I was dealing with until Ir ead online about this company.  I have only had this card for one month, and I refuse to give them penny in interest, so I will pay it off, cut up the card and good riddance.

They call I pick up and they dont say anything. Then they call agian and never leave a message. Also when I call the never pick up.

I'm getting calls from them and I have never had any loans or accounts with continental finance. Never even heard of them before I started tracing these calls

this number keeps calling several times daily. i have lost track over the last week how many times they have called and what numbers they are calling from. it'd be nice if they would leave a message as to what they want

I made a payment and yet they call saying I didn't?  Seriously, once this is paid off, CANCELING.   Not worth unneeded bullying.

They call me several times a day. They call the wrong person, same name, ask for info, they won't tell me anything. They're A -holes

This company calls even when the payment is up to date. They have more than 100 numbers and this ranges from (701) 661-1003 to (416) 644-1040 in addition to their -1-800 and 1-866 numbers as an eaxmple. When you do pick up the phone they either hand up or try to get personal information such as your birthday, SSN etc. Because we live in a society where identy theif is an epidemic - I believe they share personal information and try to ruin your credit. This company should be investigated by every state's attorney general's office for illegal and disceptive practices.  They may even have a contract or agreement of sorts with AT&T,  because everytime I log on to the internet they call. This should also be investigated.

I am always getting calls before my payment is due and they ask me if I want to setup a payment.  When I tell them that I had a payment scheduled they ask me how much it is for, when is it scheduled for and how did I set it up.  When I tell them that I did it online all they say is "Oh, we are not able to see anything that is done on over the internet."  If you can see the payments setup on the internet then dont have that s a payment option.

I get a call from this number at LEAST once a day. No one on the other end and after a couple of times saying Hello? the call is disconnected on their end. I don't get any information about who they are since the caller id shows TOLL FREE and since there's no human to ask them to stop, I have to keep filing complaints with DO NOT CALL. Even that isn't doing any good since they keep calling.

Same for me....8 calls today starting at 7am and my payement is not event due yet.  They even called my work place to leave a message I had a payment coming due

This company is horriable at harassing an individual, even after one gives them his or her money.  They want 50 dollars a month, which is crazy compared to other companines that charge 25; for those building up their credit. After I pay this off, I WILL NOT deal with Continental Finance EVER again. I will also be sure to let my friends, family, and co-workers know how unbelievable this company is with harrasment.  I can not believe they can get away with this...I would actually like to know how they do.  I would say calling someone every hour, or even every 30 min. all day, by far, is harrasment. I agree with Jake...real classy buisness you got going Continental Finance!!! :(

They call me at least 8 times a day.  The earliest they actually have called me was at 7am....Go figure.  the latest I get a call would be almost 9 pm.  Ugh.....And it's a continuously annoyance by having my cell phone to keep vibrating every 20 to 30 minutes.  These people have no freaking LIFE!  Start harassing when people DON"T pay their bills instead of actually paying them.  OMG what a brilliant idea but a fat chance in the North Pole that would happen.
