They call us daily, we always hunged up.

Called it back and sat on the line for 15 minutes. Must not be important!

The lady claimed to call about our add in the yellow pages (which we don't have). I promptly demander HER social security number. Perplexed, she she she didn't give that information out: Me neither I said, I don't give any information either over the phone. She hung up. Watch it, these are phishing calls

They disconnect when you answer.

If you get a un-solicited call,
Stay on the line as long as you can and runn there phone bill up as much as you can!

I have done this,
I stayed on the line quite awhile and I just listened and did not say anything and they kept transfering me to different people and companys (This all started out with a add for loans) I then got sent to a dentist office, A beauty Saloan, A disconected phone number, Voicemail ETC... AND THEY STILL CANNOT HANG UP!!! O THE IORNEY. LOL I THINK I HAVE BEN ON THE LINE FOR ABOUT AN HOUR NOW! I just set the phone down and I went about my day. This is "GREAT" I think I will waste a bit of there time and cost them money in the mean time!!! HAVE A NICE DAY Dave....
By the way I forgot to say I did press the #1 just to see who would answer.

I just had another thought,
When you get un-solicited calls act as though you are very interested but you do not give out information over the phone.
Schedual a meeting if you can but do not give them your address give them someone elses like a pollice dept ETC... let them waste there time not yours. (MAYBE THIS WILL HELP IF THEM GET THE POINT IF NOT YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW MUCH IT WILL HELP YOU) I did it it really works & it can be alot of fun!

I hate telemarketers.

when i answer no ones there

2 to 3 calls per day and when I pick up it's either some stupid guy from India that no one can understand or the line gets disconnected. Do these people in India really think they are making friends here in the USA with this kind of nonsense? I am starting to hate these telemarketers from India with a passion!

I received a call from a business that markets home pages on-line....unfortunately I didn't get the business name.  These guys are good!  I'm not easily tricked but because we get the Yellow Pages calling us once a year to varify our business info for the free listing I thought that was who I was talked to.  The man said he was from the Philippines and his name was Martin John (odd name)  a few minutes into this call I got red flags and felt something was wrong, he kept asking the same questions then put me on hold and when he came back I was on a computer with a voice asking the same questions again.  Everything was free they said, 1st red flag!  Would it be possible to get the name of the company that goes with this phone #800 394 1861?

And looking into him a bit more, it seems that he is also trying to run for governor of New Jersey. Hilarious!

Get calls from these guys all the time at my work. Yet another yellow pages scam. Did a little searching though and found that the domain name is registered to the following:

It's a web hosting company trying to advertise you're website.  At least that's what I got.

Calls come in from this number DAILY and often more than once per day.  No message is ever left.

5/26/09 at 11:45 AM PST female caller wanted to speak with person authorized to update our firm's internet listing.  Said she showed a Camden, BH address.  Told her boss not in and asked for her phone number and company name so can returned and was given 800-394-1861 for
"LocalInternetListing.com" and told to speak to whoever answers.

Lisa Lopez (the name she gave) called for updating an Internet business directory listing.

'Called "her" back (*67 first, of course, to block Caller-ID) & got transferred to a recording so they "recorded" about 10-15 minutes of Jean Pierre Rampal playing a Vivaldi number.

A few minutes later (and it sounded like Lisa's voice) a call came from

214-446-9820

asking if "this number had called their company".

'Wonder if SHE is on the Do Not Call list???  

I should have asked if they preferred Mozart or Beethoven.

Have gotten numerous calls from these squids.  Got tired of it!  Never leave a message on the voice mail.  Just a hang up.

You can get these and all the other telemarketers at least investigated somewhat by filing a complaint with the FCC at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.

I've done several of them and I've gotten letters back from them documenting the complaint.  At least someone is acting on this crap somehow.  The attorneys general aren't doing anything about the DO-NOt-Call list.  Maybe if enough people file complaints witht he FCC, something will be done.

Got a call on my cell phone; the caller did not leave a message.

Called and I answered this time.  A lady on the other end wanted to speak to my husband.  I asked her what the call was concerning and she said it was for the Local.com directory.  I said he was not intrested and that the number she called was not his business number and I would not give her the informaiton and I hung up.  We will see if we get more calls.

Said hello 3 times, nothing there.  Used *69 thinking it might be one of my elderly parents or child with something important.  Waste of time.

Called my office. She ask for the owners wife.

Got a call from some boiler room -- a woman asked for the Senior Partner by his first name.  I told her that he was not at this number, and she asked to speak to the new owner.  I said "there is no new owner -- the guy's just not at this number."  She said OK, thanks.

Someone calls our business when we answer they wait a second or two then they just hang up without saying anything.

Rude, calls back very often, when I told him to stop calling, he called three times within three minutes. then burped into the recording device.

Have received numerous calls from this number, finally I called it back and spoke to someone and asked to be removed from the list. They are calling again!! Aren't they required to remove your number from there database if you request it?
