Calls 5 to 10 times a day

Florida Vietnam assistance foundation asking for donations

This number calls my phone 5-10 times a day.  How do we get them to stop harassing us?

Calls everyday.  Simply says "800 Service" and the number 800-309-2298.
Have put them on my call blocking list on my phone (cannot do this thru the phone company but my phone will do it!)

Have received numerous calls from this number. I do not answer 800 numbers and I don't wish to be bother by them.  I am a cancer patient and so not need this type of harassment.

I have heard that charities and political calls are exempt. I don't know if it's true or not, but I have asked to be removed from this organization and I still receive about 10 calls a day from them, some as late as 9:30 PM.

Actually, if you ask to be removed from any charity calling list, they legally have to do it.

This number comes up on my caller ID. By the time I get to the phone, see the number and pick up the receiver, the line goes dead. This occurs most of the time. They have learned my wife is more charitable than I so they ask for her only. I showed her what happens to her donation and she now won't answer them. Asking to be put on the "do not call list" is a waste of time. Since they are a pseudo-charity they don't have to abide by "do not call" lists.

I have told these people multiple times to put our number on their do not call list.

These clowns called for me and wouldn't identify themselves and when my husband questioned the man he asked if my husband always screened my calls!!!!  My husband gave him an earful!

I Talked to the man and he gave his presentation. Can I give 15.00 dollars, he asked.
I asked him how much of that would go to veterans and he actually said
$5.oo go's towards veterans. I asked him what the other $10.00 went for and he wouldn't answer me. I said I'll give to the VFW group and he had a few choice words for me and hung up. They call dailey and from different phone numbers. My suggestion is google to look up phone number.

Caller asked for my husband and when I said he was not there, he quickly gave me a name and then hung up.

I get at least 8 calls a day from this number.  This is harrassment!!!

800-398-2298 CALLED IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS BEING WITH ACS, THEN EXPLAINED THAT HE WAS WITH THE FLORIDA VETERANS ASSOC, they help families of veterans, and so on, and so on. This is the fifth call in one week. I have said no at the beginning when they identified themself and hung up. This time I decided maybe if I listened to the entire pitch before saying no, they would leave me alone. The black male was an a** to say the least. He wanted to know why I didn't want to donate. I told him because I didn't want to. He then began repeating over and over that they had not called me before, so in other words he was calling me a liar. He kept repeating that they had not called before, that they only call one time a year, blah, blah, blah, I finally got tired of his bull and hung up. One thing is for sure, I will NEVER donate to that organization because of his behavior, and the repeated harassment.

They call and ask for my husband, when I tell them he is not home, they hang up.  Called the number back, messages says it is Florida Vietnam Veterans Assistance Foundation.  Hubby and I both have told them NOT to call again.  They call daily, sometimes multiple times a day.

Called today 7/21/08 claiming to be soliciting for Vietnam Veterans. Incorrectly reminded me that I donated to them last year, although I didn't. Kept pressuring me for a donation when I told them I couldn't afford to do it right now. Finally hung on up me while I was in mid-sentence.
