This number is for Puget Sound Blood Center. Members of our household have donated blood and when they are low on our blood type, they call non-stop until they get a yes or no. As absolutely annoying as it is - I do understand the need and so I take their calls - and hope others do the same in case I'm ever in need of a transfusion!

If you answer and tell them something like:
"I can't make an appointment right now, I'll call later."
or
"I'll just walk in."
or
"There's a blood drive coming up at work, I'll donate then."
They will usually mark you as "called" and stop calling for awhile.

They could leave me a message... then at least I know who it is. I can't answer my phone at work.

if you answer the phone and tell them you just got a tattoo they will leave you alone for a year. if you tell them you have herpes they will leave you alone forever

My name is John Reagan and I work for Puget Sound Blood Center. I can help anyone get off our calling list or just change the way we contact you. You can call me at 425-462-4380 or email me at johnr@psbc.org and will take care of it right away.
Puget Sound Blood Center is a non-profit organization so we don't access the National Do Not Call list. However, we do have a policy of honoring all Do Not Call requests so please do contact me so I can get it taken care of.
Thanks for the blood donations - we really do need them, with or without a phone call involved.

Just got waken up by a call to my cellular at 8:30 on Monday July 5, 2010, which is a holiday :-(
If they wanted me to stop answering their calls, this was the best way to achieve that.
Blocking their number now.
