I got a call from them today. Thankfully I did not answer. They are calling 3 weeks after my DUE date for my daughter that was born and unfortunately passed away shortly after at 24 weeks. After reading some of these notes it makes me thankful for this site since I still struggle to even get out of bed anymore and I doubt I could handle their cold response of "we will make a note".

They called me after I had an ectopic pregnancy, had a methotrexate shot to stop the pregnancy and had to have surgery to deal with the blood loss and remove the embryo. I burst into tears. I don't care if this is legitimate or not, they need to take more time with the referral so this doesn't happen. "apologies if you've miscarried" is frankly not enough. The woman on the other end just kept giving me a robotic "we'll make a note." Thanks for your compassion.

This is a legit number. Employer health plans (United Health Care) offer the Healthy Pregnancy Program. My employer offers us a cash incentive for completing the program. After tax it's about $600 that I get. They'll assign you a nurse case manager--and this is all at no cost to you.

Not a scam, but not something that's for everyone either.  Just an extra program that they like to enroll pregnant clients in - - 24 hour nurse hotline available, pregnancy education info, financial support for transportation to and from doctors visits, etc. according to the rep I talked to.  Could be very useful for some patients, assuming it works as described.

Received my 3rd call from them tonight. Each time they have launched right  into their "We need to verify the year and date of your birth" before they tell me ANYTHING about what service they are offering. Tonight the guy who called said he is not trying to sell me anything, but to offer me a "benefit" to which I am already entitled.
Whether this is legit or not, it is way too shady that they have to get my year of birth before they will tell me anything about the program. If it truly is already available to me, why don't they mail me something or send me an e-mail about it?

Today my pregnant wife got a call from this number.  I later called uhc using the number on my insurace card (800 357 0978).  The person i spoke with verified that 800 411 7984 is legit uhc phone number for pregnancy and wellness.

By the way, the previous comment is correct... the only thing they verify is your birthday... not your social or anything else... get a grip!

This is not a scam... this is very legit. In fact my company puts funds into my health spending account for signing up with these services during my pregnancy. Stop automatically saying it's a scam unless you are sure... you have people like me confused! They were just calling for their regular pregnancy check up.

This is not a scam unless your not preggo... if you are enrolled in UHC and pregnant they offer you a free wellness program. That's not a scam. You should join it has great info.

This company called after business hrs and I knew it was a scam between this and  when I was not identified by my insurance company member id.

It is a scam.  They called me today, and when I declined their offer for "free pregnancy wellness services" and called United Healthcare myself, they advised it was a scam.  The people posting on this site that it is not must work for the company who is apparently trying to get information from unsuspecting moms to be.  Do Not Listen To Them and Hang Up The Phone!

I have called and called to ask them to remove my phone number.  To do that they want my name, phone number, date of bitrh; at that point I hung up.  I am not going to give them my personal information.  To me it's a scam.

I actually work for this department.  Hippa law requires you verify the paitient before disclosing information, thus the secrecy.  If so many people have called UHC and were told the number is legit, why would you possibly stil think this is a scam?  Also, we only ask for a DOB to verify.  This is public record, not private information.  No one can steal your identity with this.

Apologies on those who have miscarried.  Referals can take a few weeks to process from UHC before we actually call.  This offers a lot of time for things to happen.

They called me, I'm a man... have always been male, am not pregnant as I don't have a uterus or ovaries or anything else... I don't have a pregnant girlfriend, no pregnant family members... seems like a scam to me.

I called UHC, and it IS a legit number for "Women's Wellness" and "Pregnancy."

This program has kept many women for experiencing major problems, and helping women who may not otherwise know what to do when they are faced with unknown problems.

I called the number back and was told that they had been informed that I was pregnant and they were a Pregnancy Wellness Program.  I was pregnant, wish someone had told them I had miscarried.

This number is not legit! If you google the number, a web site of United Healthcare comes; however this is NOT their web site! Here is what comes from googling their number:

I double-checked with UH using the number from my insurance card-not the one that I find on their fake web site, and I was told that this is NOT United healthcare.
Be careful, because everything seems legit, but it is not!

Just today, I received my second call from "Unknown" number (the first was also from unknown number, but I asked for a phone number to call them back-and then they gave me 800-411-7984). When the girl said she was calling from UH insurance, I told her that I know she is calling from a fake company and that if she calls again, I will report them to the FBI and FTC. She only said, (quote) "Ok., goodbye".

I just received a letter from UHC with this same #. So, I called the UHC # off of my card again and spoke with Lisa. She verified that this # and program is legit and a free benefit called the Healthy Pregnancy Program. When I called the # they verified with me all of my personal info and assigned a nurse and case mgr. It seems to be ok and helpful so far.

Received 3 calls from this number...the 1st man did want me to do some minor verification that I refused to give.  When I advised I would check their website and call if interested he paused and attempted to say I couldn't get the promotion online and said I had to call the number given.  I missed the 2nd call, but the 3rd gave the wrong last name...
