Get spam faxes from these criminals every week. They're a bunch of lowlifes who can't get a read job. Beware! They are being sued and investigated as we speak. You can read about it here:

Hope that they all do hard jail time!

I received the same fax today, only the writers names have been changed to Justin Kingsley and Kathy Damano. The phone number they are using now is 800-679-7016. The fax STILL has no header info or other required info. It came on a secure fax line that is ONLY used for government contractors, so I would guess they have an autodialer that dials numbers until it finds a fax machine.

Add 1-800-679-4491 and 1-800-630-0322 to the list. The first # is the call back number and the second is the "remove me" number. CABO all-inclusive vacation scam.

same USA Today article, my healthcenter received a similar promo in a flier matter before, this time it was the USA today article with an additional number added to the bottom. 1800-418-8730, I called the number a man with a foreign accent answered I asked about the bussiness, he said their website was mexicancheaptickets.com, I did'nt find the website....be aware
Ben 2007-10-03 15:44:35 Unknown
We just got the same USA Today junk fax, no sender fax# line. On our version the phone number given is 800-419-5431.
Glen 2007-10-02 20:52:20 Fax Machine
Toll free number is now 800-417-3710. Article is obviously a fake and does not follow USA Today's style (e.g., USA Today uses "No. 1" not "#1"). Note that a version of this article appears at http://www.esktravelsave.com/page/1235663 ... eventually you can get some names and numbers, if for some reason you wanted to pursue this.

Yep a fake... I work in a PR firm so I thought it would be fun to check, went to our archives and pulled out the 8/7/07 USA Today and saw where they pasted the article on top of the money line column. They even left the McDonald's Selling Boson Market brief below their fake story.
One of the funnier parts of my day.

i don't think this is a real company, although they gave me this website ( www.pricelinecancun.com ) to choose the resorts and said that if i didn't want to go to cancun, i could pick another destination and that i would have 1 and 1/2 year to travel.
it is prepaid, though. if i were you, i would NOT TRUST this company!

Our company received the same exact fax today and I did what you did- search Today for the article. NO SUCH ARTICLE EXISTS. I am calling usa today and letting them know. I knew it was a scam b/c it appeared in the money section.

Hello
We have been having trouble with this so called company. They wont stop faxing the company where I work. The same fax with the USA today article. I called the 1-800-417-2496 number one day, got an old lady and she gave me this fax no. 1-817-852-3067. I then faxed them back, asking them not to fax us again. That was on Aug 9, today the dreaded fax came again. I called again and asked for a fax no. I was told they dont have a fax. After I told them I had just received a fax from them, they very rudely stated that the fax was not from them. I again asked for their fax no. the guy asked me "Why""~!!! So you can fax us back???" I answered, "Well, yes." he then proceeded to tell me how immature I was. HA! Im not trying to be immature. I am writing on the fax, asking them to remove our number from their fax list.
But as it appears they are not doing things in a legal manner, I guess it hardly matters to them. So again here is there fax no. 1-817-852-3067.

I called them after seeing all the posts here just to get more info and to harrass them. I talked to one named "Lola Flores" probably fake. She gave me her "Direct Line" : 1-800-903-1633 Call her and bug her! She also said that they're list of resorts can be found at http://www.pricelinecancun.com
Carol 2007-08-22 14:29:47 Unknown
Fax from "USA Today Money" same deal as above, using phone number 800-419-5412 as theri "sales center." High pressure tactics by salesperson who was very vague about answering any questions. I gave no personal info.
Sawady 2007-08-21 20:54:31 Unknown
I know you're going on a trip this year, thought you'd be interested.
If people fall for this scam, I feel bad for them.

Would it help to send these fake faxes to USA Today? If they could find out who to sue maybe they would destroy them. The toll free number in my fax with same heading "Cancun ranks #1 in vacation destinations" on the same fake USA Today page is 800-418-8730.
GD 2007-08-18 14:35:31 Unknown
I just tried calling them from home. Both numbers are dead.
GD 2007-08-17 19:11:49 Fax Machine
Received 1-800-417-2496 on 08/10. Another from 1-800-418-8730 on 08/17. Called the 418 first, got a woman who wanted to take my reservation until I mentioned a fax. She said that her company didn't send faxes. When I started to press her, she got belligerent and hung up. I called the 417 number, and a guy answered, "Reservations." When I mentioned the fax, he hung up on me.

Thank you all so much for informing USA TODAY of your having received the junk fax. The article is a fake and never ran in USA TODAY. We are currently pursuing this matter with the FTC and FCC.
I also wanted to let you know that there is a complaint form available on the FCC website where you can report junk faxes, should you wish to do so. The form is available at: https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do
Again, many thanks for taking the time to alert us to the scam.
