I had an auto loan with Chase, then recently got a new car, through a different lender. That was about 3 weeks ago. I get a call today from someone who has a thick accent, asking me to tell them what information has changed on my account within the last 30 days. I said, I got a new car through a different vendor, so I don't have Chase Auto Finance anymore. He then asked me "Was the loan paid off in full?" I said, shouldn't you have access to that information? Why are you asking me? Then he kind of tried to bumble his way through it by saying he could check with other departments, but could only see certain memos and needed me to verify what information had changed. Nothing about this call seemed legit at all. You don't call someone and ask them to tell you what information has changed, and say you're going to "verify" with other departments and then ask me questions that should be in your database. Questions such as whether or not the loan was paid off. I hung up and will definitely ask to talk with management if they ever call back.

They keep calling my number for my daughter who is away at college. If she calls them and gives authorization, they will talk to me, otherwise they are not allowed to discuss her business with me. They insist she gave my number. I know she doesn't have a car loan because her car was bought and payed for by me.

I don't know who they are but after reading above posts and other sites' posts it has to do with Chase Bank which I don't have anything to do with them or any type of loan (past or present) and they keep calling my cell phone which costs me minutes even if I don't answer because they leave an ongoing voice message each time they call which takes away from my alloted voice mail messages/usage.

I wish the idiots would stop!!!

I don't even own a car, and who's this Charles guy with my same last name and why do I care about his delinquent payments?  Fortunately, I have used Google Voice to build a fence around my landline, so I don't have to waste my time calling Chase Auto Finance to explain their error.  One click of the mouse and 800-423-5579 is banned for life.

Sounds like a scammer to me. If you have tittle in hand, and the banks say's yup, your paid in full, then its a scammer trying to get your money!  Do report these calls, to the bank (thye need to know someone is trying to scam folks using their name), to the ftc, fcc, fbi, state attorney general. These scammers can & do  spoof real legitimate company names and numbers on the caller ids.  Next step, do get a whistle and employ it a few times..  then turn just start turning the phone on and right back off.  Don't allow it to connect completly..

Chase Auto Finance, I paid off my car last year and received my title.  A year later I am getting tons of calls saying that I owe $400.  They keep asking if my car was repo'ed which it wasn't and their computers say I am paid off and I have talked to many higher up people but I still get calls.  I hope this doesn't show up on my credit report.

Survey
Received a couple of call from this number today and finally answered one. It is Chase Auto Finance, but NOT a collection call. It's actually an auto dial call with a very quick survey to give your feedback on your experience with the customer collections service rep you most recently dealt with.  I did the quick survey - answered truthfully because the woman I dealt with there the other day was extremely nice and helpful.  Took less than one minute - no big deal and likely now won't get a call again from that number until the next time I speak to a rep. I think it's actually a good thing that Chase is trying to find out how their reps are doing.  Companies have got into big trouble in the past for having collection reps harass and threaten customers.

This is Chase Bank, car loan department.  They are calling me about a car loan that belongs to my great nephew, who gave my number to them without my permission.  His mother has asked them not to call me and I also have told them not to call me.  I have told them I do not know where my nephew lives nor do I have his phone number.  I have nothing to do with this and I do not like their harassing calls.  I am a senior citizen and this is distressing to me since I am diligent about paying own bills.  I am again ordering them to stop their calls or I will file a lawsuit.

I have been receiving calls from this number and 2 other apparent car loan companies.  I have never had a car loan. I have always paid cash for my vehicles. I have no idea why these calls are coming, how they got my info, as well as using my husbands last name referring to me.... I haven't even changed it yet.

Yea, I am late as well, but not yet 30 days. I spoke to a representative last wekk and explained it was because my wife was unemployed for almost a year and now that she's working again, she got her hours cut so we had to re-organize our budget and payment schedules. I made a payment arrangement with them to pay it tomorrow and they are still calling several times a day!

still at it several years later. Call comes in from JP Morgan Chase, computer calling system. Say they are Chase Auto Finance, and get very short when you probe what they are calling about. Only want you to call them back.

Yea they are annoying and slightly harrassing!  I would admit that I am behind, about $90 and they have called my job three times and my parents once in one day!  I guess it's tight for EVERYONE! LOL I simply just ignore the calls cause by now I know the phone number and I already put the check in the mail.
