this is some type of debt collection agency that was looking for someone who used to have my phone number. I told them this is a business and to please remove my number from you calling list.

If these people are constantly changing names & don't answer or leave a voice mail, they are scammers. A legitimate debt company doesn't use such underhanded tactics. Don't bother with them. Should you answer, whenever they ask for you, just say you don't know that person & that it must have been someone else's number. As long as they aren't calling you at work, I wouldn't waste my time. And they're out of Peoria, Illinois. I know that one & it is def a scam.

I picked up the phone but said nothing. I think it must be voice activated because it just hung up after not hearing anything from my end.

Every morning between 7:30 a.m & 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time for the last month we have been getting a call from this number.  They don't leave a message and if we answer there is no one there.  Won't be answering again but this is not the way we like to start off every day!

Receive calls from them 2-3 times a day.   I answer and nobody ever answers...not even a pre recorded message.

I get calls numerous times a day from this number. I have answered a few times and always get a "fax like sound, same if I call it back. Have had enough and put smart limits on my ATT cell phone to block them

These people just called me and asked for my husband.  I told them I was his wife and they said, "To verify this, please give us his birthdate, S.S. number and address."  I told them, "I'm not giving you that information."  They continued to say that they could not speak to me unless I gave them that information--I guess they thought they could peak my interest.  I told them, "Fine" and hung up.

Another debt collection agency using using a somewhat misleading name in the hope that it will intimidate you into submitting to their wishes

I Jove been receiving these calls since June of last year. I found out that It was collection agency, but I was wondering what are they going to collect for me I'm only 13 years old. What do they want from me???

They called me twice today.  Once at 7:30 AM.  Which is against the law. Then again at noon.  No messages left.  Will see if a letter is sent.  Blocking the number but keeping note as to the time they called.

Have had it with these people. The number is connected to Credit Bureau Accounts but yet they say they are Convergent Outsourcing. When questioned about them having any business dealings with CBA or if they were some how connected , the answer was no. They have never heard of CBA. They have spoken to the person they wanted at my phone number. They were told by this person not to call my number again and to send something in writing as to why they wanted to talk to him as he would not verify any of his information over the phone and that he did not have to legally do so. The kept asking him why he wouldn't verify his information. Phone was on speaker so I heard it all. He asked for a address to mail them something to stop them from calling my number and they refused since he would not verify his information for them. The knew the speaker was on so they just kept saying it was all being recorded. Good for them. I told them loud and clear that the phone number they called was not the person they wanted and not to call here again. I pay the phone bill and the phone is in my name and if they were not looking for me not to call here again. Since then they have called several more times and I won't answer. I am filing a report with the BBB and FTC on this matter. Something is not right as when we looked up the number the called from it came back CBA. Since they say they are not connected with CBA in any way and don't know who they are something isn't right here. They have several address that I have found on line but since you don't know where they are calling from I guess you write a letter to all of them and hope it gets to the right one.

Ya know, it cost them every time a call to their 800 number is answered, I do have better things to do with my life, but I think all of us, when we have nothing to do, should call back, leave them the same info they leave us, run up their phone bill. 20 people 4 or 5 times a day that could add up a bit.

Calls come in at least twice daily.  The 2nd time, they appear to leave a msg, but there's no voice mail left.

So sick of these people . Who the hell are they. The number goes to one company but they say they are calling from another. Looked both up and they seem to have several names and numbers they use. Refused to verify information to this person and he hung up with me . Why should I verify when he called me . Plus my husband ( who he wanted to talk to) had already told him that he could talk to me. He was on speaker. My husband after being told not to did verify his date of birth and address. That is another story was he got off the phone. Anyway. They told him that they wanted to help him reestablish his credit and then all of a sudden it went to a so called debt. The guy would not shut and let us talk. He would come back and say we said something this time that we didn't say the last time but how would he know if he would not shut up and let us talk. I told him to zip it and let me talk. Finally got it through his head that he needed to send something in writing and we would take the matter from them and contact them back once we had decided what to do about the matter. Not to call here again. How can they get away with saying they are calling to help you with something and then when you tell them no that all of a sudden are calling to collect a debt.

We had never heard of the person they were asking.  The lady was very nice and helpful.  Hopefully the calls will stop.

I've been getting calls from this number now for several days. I happen to be looking for work, so I finally returned a call yesterday and got "Convergent Outsourcing."
Rather than trying to "Collect a debt" the lady I spoke to said that they were calling because they wanted to help me "Reestablish" my credit.
Not sure now WHO these people are, but sense a scam...

I just started getting calls from this number. I suspect for an old debt that was resolved 7 years ago. They should send a letter within a week of initial contact. I will be submitting a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau and Attorneys General in my state and the state where they're located. I will also send a registered letter to the company and the original loan company telling them to cease and desist and letting them know that they've been reported and will be sued if they've reported anything negative on my credit. This usually works.

Yep this number shows up 2 to 3 times a day on my house phone and now they are calling my cell.  I am not changing my number for some loser company who seem to annoy ALOT of people.  Just don't answer!

Got a new phone, and this caller called over over over again I finally called back from a different phone. They asked for Diego? I am no DIEGO.

I am tired of the 800-423-9397 calling me everyday. No person, no voice mail. Leave me alone. I have better things to do with my time. I do have a life.

They called my husband and he finally answered after numerous phone calls from them. The guy told him they were collecting for USAA. If that helps anyone.

I have received calls from this number and I ignored them thinking it was a scam. However I checked my credit report yesterday and found that they posted I owe them money. I believe my identity has been stolen. What company does this debt collector collect for?

These people keep calling two and three times a day I have explained that they have the wrong number they are trying to collect on a debt that I don't have. And haven't had for 5 years I have paperwork show it paid in full. From original company they don't seem to give two s**** ( excuse my language ) well im not paying them a flipping dime so I guess I block this number. Beware people scammers and thieves do some looking before you do business with them , just because they have lots of info on you don't mean you have to give them anything. I'll admit at one time I had some issues I cleared them up myself over time. Dont fall for the scams and threating calls

This is a collection agency trying to collect a debt from one Charlie L. Bennett.  Told them twice it's a wrong number.  Charlie, you deadbeat, pay your freaking debts or at least stop giving them my number as your contact phone.

Got a call from an "auto-dailer" stating how important that it was to contact me over and over.  I waited so that I could identify the business and take appropriate action.  No one ever picked up the phone after a good 3 minutes of waiting.  I called them back and immediately got another answering machine asking for me to continue to hold for the next available "operator".  People, make sure that when bill collectors call, they are following FDCPA guidlines!  It they are not, you can countersue!!!!!!!  Many of these calls are "too old" to collect on.  However, most people do not know that.  Also, make these people put everything in writing in the mail.  Anyone that want your personal information can get it for about $50.00.  Yes, social security number, account numbers, banking info,mother's maiden name, DOB, etc.  This is called identity theft!  Protect yourselves!
