This is legit. I pay my VW bill online. I was wondering why the heck they were calling - I missed this month somehow. I always pay on time. Whoops :) I was able to check my online account, which helped. Never give your SSN or Account Number over the phone. Always call your local business to verify.

This is NOT a scam. This is Volkswagen/Audi credit. I've called this number before with questions about my lease. They just called and I missed it the first time, second time I spoke to someone. My payment didn't process through my bank. Made payment with the person at THIS number and it reflected soon after on my VW credit account. Know your facts before you comment or don't bother. Just because YOU don't have a VW product doesn't mean they don't have your number by mistake from someone else.

This company has been calling our agency, which is a victim assistance agency. No one here has a loan and even if they did, they are not allowed to call a place of business to harass a person for debt. DO NOT EVER give your social security number out to anyone calling you on the phone. We are reporting them to the State of Colorado Attorney General's office.

For the idiots claiming scam and fraud... your exactly that, an idiot. It IS Volkswagon Financial. I got a call today from them about my '13 Passat lease payment being past due. Bank had a system hiccup that caused payments from billpay to not go through. Put in my account# from my bill and was directed to someone who took my payment (which was updated next day on vwcredit website) no scam, no info stealing. ..just a car payment. This number is legitimate, people are way too paranoid.

First of all never, EVER, give your SS# to anyone online or on phone. Good luck trying to find out how caller from  Volkswagen Credit got your name. Lupe would not give me to a supervisor (said there was none) or her last name.
She said "maybe" person message was for gave me as a reference.  I informed her that that was not even a possibility and I wanted to know the source of how they got my name and number.  She continued to refuse to give me any information whatsoever.  I will report to Federal Trade Commission and to the BBB

Not a scam at all. It is VW credit and you are probably have an issue with your payment.

I started receiving these calls from VolksWagen Credit and Audi Financial services 1-800-428-6050 asking me to "return an important phone call" about 3-4 months ago and they repeat several times a month...sometimes few times a week both on my home and my cell phone. I have never done any business with them and it's really annoying that there is no way to stop those calls. I definitely don't want to enter my SSN or any other information about myself to their automatic prompts and companies like this should be sanctioned for these intrusive practices

I have been getting calls from this number.  I called them back today and hit 0 to talk to an operator.  It was a man, but when he said his name a recording took over and a female voice gave her name.  Then he came back.  I told him I was getting calls for no reason and he said no problem he would remove my number from the system.  If this was some sort of real creditor agency they would not have just taken my word for it that I don't owe them money.

800-428-6050 is the collection line for VW Credit...you people really need to stop relying on uninformed people for your information.

you should probably find out why they are calling you instead of ignoring it so that there isn't some type of fraud on your credit report.

Today by 11:30am, there have been 3 phone calls from 800-428-6050.  When I answered the phone, there was no one there.

Its Volkswagon Credit and your payment is late. Plain and simple. If you dont have an account with them, tell them so, tell them to remove your number. Very easy to do. Just do it. This does not fall under all of your conspiracy theories. Just deal with it.

This number is a SCAM CALLER!! They tried to get all kind of identifiying information from me and woudlnt even say who it is. I DONT THINK SO.

Have received repeated calls from an unidentified number. Mostly no one there, once a recorded message from Volkswagon Credit saying to call this number back. The recording asks for an account number or social. I messed with the numbers for a while and got a recording saying that they were closed and to call back. I have no account with Volkswagon. This is a fishing scam.

I just recieved this call.  I do own a VW that I just purchased two weeks ago and I paid my first month's payment the day I drove the car home, my next payment won't be due till the middle of next month.  I'm not sure why they'd be calling me if this is legit.  Maybe if companies would start giving you human to human interaction people would'n't be left to speculate if something is a scam.

All you have to do is call the number and wait. Customer service will pick up, you explain, and they are very friendly. Not scam or anything, just a lousy billiing computer.

I turned my daugthers new cell phone on and with in 10 minutes started getting calls from these folks. 4 or 5 times a day. Thanks for the information here, I called and got them to take it of there list.
