1-800-430-7124--Again this number continues 2 call and harass me!! I cont 2 reject these calls...I didn't do anything 2 them, and yet i can't seem 2 get them 2 stop calling me!! I picked up on a vm that was just recently left 4 me. It's coming from a woman, Miss Waineger??? And the company  believe is: charter, cohen and thomas????
I get a call or 2 a day. And i can't take it anymore!!! They are rude and very iritating!!!
My mom recently got out of the hosp and has a lot 2 deal with considering she is dealing with possible cancer. I am in the process of caring 4 her...i am iritated as it is that i don't need these continued crap phone calls!!!

I too am recieving calls from this number in addition I am recieving calls from Trauner,Cohen and Thomas in which that firm is starting to harrass me about a passed debt. This so called law firm, is calling from two different numbers. They are asking you to send money right then and there. Then they will say they are going to serve papers if you don't give them money. They are full of crap,don't give them any money. They are bottom feeders. What kind of Lawyer calls at 8PM at night. I don't know of any!!!! A "Miss Little" (xt. 1508) called my parents the other day looking for me.  I called them back and they claimed they couldn't find my info and asked for my social security number for verification.  I didn't give it to them!  I asked what this was about and they said a credit card debt.  I just recently bought a house and viewed my credit reports.  There is NOTHING outstanding.  I think this is a real scam and I hope somehow they are shut down!  Who calls themselves by only their last names?? I'm in customer service and if anything, I give my first name.  It's too fishy for me!  WATCH OUT!

I also got a call from these people. They are so dumb! They want me to give a total stanger over the phone my personal banking information because they say I owe a debt. I asked to confirm this debt and they refuse to validate it, which is our right under the FDCA. Contact your attorney general and have them look into these guys. It turns out they can't even legally collect debt in my state.

She said here name was Christine 800-430-7124(x 1524) and she was trying to enter a decision on my behalf and wanted to extend a courtesy call to me so that i could enter the decision. After reading this i don't think that i will call her back. Thanks to everyone for thier input.

These f*ckers called my father's cell in GA.  How the f*ck would they get my father's cell number? A "Ms. Hamid" at 8004307124 ext 1501 told him she had "Good news for me" that "I'd love to hear".  Since when is a call from a bullsh*t attorney's office "good news" or something ANYONE would "love to hear"? I'm not even bothering calling these charlatans.

I started getting calls from this company in Feb. of this year. No messages at first. Then I received a call at work. I was summoned to the office immediately as the woman on the other end had our secretary very upset. I spoke to a Ms. Bonita Kennedy who wanted me to get my checkbook and give her a payment over the phone immediately. I did not and requested no more calls at work. I then started receiving calls at home and had nasty messages left on my voice mail. I called back and was told that if I did not pay the debt I would be made an example of. These people started calling my in laws house looking for and started calling my place of employment two or three times a day. They went so far as to call my bank. I have no idea how they found out my bank info. I have filed a cease and desist letter and contacted the BBB in Atlanta. If I receive any more calls I will be contacting my attorney to file a lawsuit.

"Mr. Canelli" called this morning looking for someone not at our number.  Caller ID showed 888-696-1990 instead of the callback number left.

I get calls several times a week. I don't know who they are, and why they keep calling me! Everytime they call, i reject the call and yet they keep calling. The same number called my parents pahone, and my brother's phone lloking me in July of this year and started again just recently. My father passed away at the end of july, my family didnt need the calls then, and we don't now! My mother has been in the hosp for about 2wks.
I put everybody's phone numbers on the DoNotCallRegistry, and when i try to file a complaint on there, because there is no name shown, they will not accept the complaints.
I'm tired of seeing this number on my cell phone! I had to disconnect my home phone because of this number!!!

Your the typical debtor who borrows money from a creditor - spends that money - claims that he falls on hard times (some do/some dont) but knowing all along that he owes this creditor and years and years go buy while you are still on hard times which is more crap cause most of you never even make the attempt to pay back a red cent but instead run from your obligations like cowards claim you have a family to take care of that will be the excuse forever - if collectors didnt call you people and damn near force you to pay off your own matters - what a degenerate bunch you represent!!!

Wrong again. What tends to terrify people is the illegal tactics used by the collectors themselves. Sometimes the collectors even come on here and try to terrorize them, but it doesn't work very well, it's done more effectively over the phone, but their victims are catching on.

Collectors clean up their act if they want to be successful, then they won't have to spew here.

This is a give and take situation.  Their are bad parties on both sides of the fence, with any situation you have this element!  The thing is that this blog is a one way, for a unsuspecting individual who will do research on this company will be terrified to pay his debt because people will post matters in a negative angle, they leave out what it took to get them there.

Yeah, its call "life happens" and sometimes people fall behind. Yes, there are people out there who dodge their bills all the time, but there are just as many folks who have to prioritize what gets paid when, especially in this economy.

I have bills, and I have a family and pets. Bills come due, but my family needs to eat and one of my pets need vet treatement. Sorry, but the bills are going to have to wait till next pay day. My family is going to eat and my pet (which is PART OF my family) is going to be treated before those bills get paid.

Collectors' behavior is governed by the law, and when they violate it they can be liable for CRIMINAL charges. Not paying your bills is a CIVIL matter, on the other hand.

Heres a idea for you people who seem to have endless complaints about this law firm and their practices,  JUST PAY YOUR DEBTS OFF and stop running and hiding. The way you people behave is even more dispicable then the debt collectors who have to call you!

April 16, 2009: A black sounding male, who identified himself as Markus Griffin, supposedly in the employ of the law firm of Toller, Collins and Thomas, Markus left a very cryptic message on my answer machine, paraphrasing, that I was involved in a police matter they were pursuing and should return the call to 18004307124 ext 1519, ASAP, when I returned this call, as any law abiding person would at 10:AM the following morning,  I got an answer machine, I pressed 0 for an operator and got another voice mail box.   I left a message of when and how I could be reached, when the same sounding person got in touch with me again, he was belligerent and demanding that my number was listed for another individual with a similar sounding name, and he wanted me to prove to him that I was who I said by giving him my address and social.  I REFUSED, saying only that he was misinformed, he became more forceful, they would send the police to my address if I did not comply with the proof he was demanding, so I told him to give me the address and legal case number for the charges pending and I would have my attorney contact him, to which he replied that he did not have to give me his address and became more insistant that I prove to him I was not the party he was calling.  I asked which state he was licensed to practice law in, and he became loud abusive and proceeded to tell me that he was doing the questioning and that I was the hostile party at which point I hung up the phone.  I googled, law firm of Toller, Collins and Thomas, FL, then US and got nothing, I googled Markus Griffin and got several face book people none of which was a person of color, I did a reverse phone look up for 1 800 430 7124 and found this site.  I believe this was a phishing scam.  IF it were an actual law office, I see no reason why they would not have given me an address and a fax number or the state in which they practiced law, they also did not ever tell me what the police matter was about.

I just had trouble with these people, they refused to validate a debt, which they are required to do by Federal Law. Same type of call as the others that are listed trying to scare you into doing something stupid or giving up information. This is ergent matter time is getting close to the court date and so on. Very rude and overbearing.

This number has been constantly calling my relatives and friends and after being told over and over again to stop calling that I do not have a phone they continue to call. I will now since I know who they are report them to the FTC and report that they have been harrasing my relatives and friends over something that is not their concern.

Caller, identified as "Ms. Dailey" called and left a message at one residence asking questions about the called residence's next door neighbor. "Ms. Dailey" stated she was calling on behalf of attorneys: Cohen, Thomas, and Trauner, leaving a call back number of "1-800-430-7124 / Ext. 1529. This has caused considerable concern for the called residence and the next door neighbor in this age of identity theft and scams. I have called the stated "800" number and it just goes to a dead line.

For many, many months we have been receiving calls from an "800 Service" number but it is a different number each time on our caller ID.  They call several times a day and never leave a message.  The calls even start as early as 5 AM!  Today they did leave a message and when I returned the call they wouldn't talk to me, they said the "business" was with my husband.  He called them and they asked if his social security number ended in XXXX and he said no, that they had the wrong guy, which was true.  They tried to get more information out of him but he told them he wasn't going to give them anything and hung up.  Our conversations were with a black female who kept insisting they had legitimate business with my husband.  She said they were an attorney's office and never mentioned anything about debt collection.  But we don't owe anyone a penny so if they call again it will surely be to try to scam us!

Because they seem to have multiple numbers just don't answer ANY call that comes up on caller ID as "800 Service"!

I was called from this number also my father was regarding me. They said they were Thomas Cohen and Thomas law firm. Dont answer they are awful people who seriously leave rude and threatening messages everyday.

Okay, so this caller was being a complete !@#$%^%$$ to my mom. Two (who seemed to be African American) guys called and started talking about some debt that she owed, and she said that she didn't have the money and told them about the payment plan that she could do. they said no without any thought to it, and remarked that they couldn't do that. They asked if she could find any family members that she could get money from, and being completely truthful she said that she didn't have much family left and that her brother, the only one with the slightest chance of money, had ALS. They were not even considerate, and only got more rude, anxious to convince her to get money from someone or they would take her to court. they sounded, for the most part, professional but EXTREMELY and UTTERLY uncalled for. Seriously, my mom doesn't deserve this. Nobody does.
