Mr. "Christo" attempted to call today using a similar tactic as listed here. 8772785609 is the number he called from. I have linked that page to this number reports as it seems he is simply dumb enough to believe that the Internet will not respond to fraud. He will argue, he will claim he did something that he did not state, he will clearly violate FDCPA guidelines and he will make threats of going to the police. He is not an attorney. He is a scammer. Ignore him, go put in an Identity Theft Affidavit with the FTC if you are so inclined since he likely will have your information somehow, send that to the CRA's and go about your day. His threats are baseless and not even the right way to go about debt collections.

All of the names being mentioned in everyone's complaints are all being used by one single person out of Buffalo N.Y.. He is the so called owner of a branch office. His name I believe is Stephan Holbrook. This so called owner uses all names of former co workers and friends to solicit bad busines in the form of debt collection. This guy does not have a heart and is mentioning and illegally using  names of people that he once knew. How can someone be so heartless. That can really tarnish an innocent persons name. Please stop doing this to people. Use your own name Stephan when making phone calls.Reply!

Hmm this guy named David Weiss told me the same thing, I am already in the bankrupcy process when I told him that he flipped out screaming so loudly people in hallway at work turned and looked, I hung up.

His new name now is David Weiss and his new number is 855-373-1871 from SMB, same nasty response when you confront him different name same scumbag.

So why does Cashnet(and I have their email) say you are FAKE, a scammer, and is it customary to have two different collection companies, no make that three, collecting the same debt all at once! hmm. I got the same message, mine was by the 24th of this month those must be his favorite days, soon hopefully it will be the number of  years these scumbags do for their unlawful activity. I'm not a violent person but with these crooks I'll make an exception

received a call from George stating that my case has been forwarded to him from a 3rd party.. I do owe a company money and have made arrangements with that company. He stated that my arrangements weren't honored on my end due to something with my bank, but I can see where the payments are taken out per the arrangements made.. I called the company I made arrangments with and confirmed everything is fine. they stated there is nothing wrong with my payments.  When I called this George guy back, I had to leave him a voicemail and just gave him the phone number to the company I have made arrangements with..

I too received a call from a Michael Pacificno stating I owed a payday loan and that there was a pending lawsuit in the next 5 days,I advised him that I would forward his info to my attorney he also advised that a  bankruptcy lawyer couldn't help,and  he couldn't wait to see me in court!

That is one of their scam messages that you wrote a bad check.  I had a call like that a few months ago.  I never called them back, and I haven't heard from them again.  Go for it. Get the $1000.00 and let us know how it ends up.

This is the same thing that keeps happening to me. This person called my sister I was so embarrsed, I know I don't have any debit and claims I wrote a bad check and is filing a lawsuit. Lets all get together and put him out of business. I am hiring a lawyer. Please follow in my footsteps. This has to be stopped. If we don't do something he will contiue to prey on the weak. The Lawyer I contacted says he can get me 1000.00 for inconvience and this guy has to pay all court costs.

This guy Robert Ingaria called my Dad and told him he needed to talk to me.  He mentioned lawsuit etc... He gave 1-800-440-2297 as a call back number.  Said he was a lawyer from Jacobson and Associates.  As soon as my Dad talked to me, I knew it was a fraud call. Sure enough I Goggled the number and got this complaint blog.  Thank you for posting your complaints.  That way people can be sure very quickly they are dealing with fraudulent people who will do anything for a buck.  The DA is my next door neighbor.  He just laughs when I tell him about these kind of calls.  As you know, no one can be rude or threaten you over the phone.  Debt fraud collection is the second biggest fraudulent activity in the United States.  I guess they will continue as long as some people give them money.  DON'T CALL THEM BACK, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, AND DEFINITELY DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY.  Also when you write your blogs don't use your real name like some do.  Don't be afraid to mess with them on the phone.

I HAD A LOAN THRU CASH NET USA, WHICH I REGRETABLY DEFAULTED ON. I HAVE MADE SOME PAYMENTS TO TRY & CLEAR THIS MATTER UP. I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROMA  MR. JACKSON & A ROBERT INGARDIA STATING THEY WILL BE FILING CHARGES ON MY FOR CHECK FRAUD. I NEVER WROTE A CHECK, IT WAS ALL DONE OVER THE INTERNET & I AM TRYING TO PAY BACK WHAT I OWE. I JUST CAN'T MAKE THE HUGE PAYMENTS THEY WANT ME TO. SHOULD I EVEN BE PAYING THIS JACOBSON & ASSOC, OR SHOULD I BE DEALING WITH THE ORIGINAL CREDITORS?

Received a call to my parents from Robert A Gardia who said he was from the Harris County Courthouse in Houston Texas regarding a bill I have and that he would take legal action if not paid.  He stated the bill was over $1000 but would settle for $275.  Get real!

Hmm, seems to be a pattern here...I received a voice mail at work instructing me to call back this "Robert Enguardia" at this same number.  When I called him back he went into this mind numbing array of legal mumbo jumbo, I guess to make himself sound professional?  In any event he said he was a lawyer.  This "man" was beyond rude and just a miserable prick.  I told him I would pay the debt I owed and he was STILL being a dick.  He ended up hanging up on me and I promptly called him right back and told him we must have gotten disconnected he said "No, I hung up because I wont let you drag me into the trenches with you"  I told him its unfortunate that he didn't get hugged enough as a child and that I was sorry that his life choices brought him to such a crummy job which made him act like a jack***.  He hung up on me again....
Now I dont want to provide him with a credit card number to pay this supposed debt...What to do?

Yes in deed i just got a voicemail from a man name Robert from Jacobson and Associates try to settle a debt.  He also said alot of threating things. i guess to scare you to call back.  How can these people harrase you like this and get away with it.  I will also filing a harrasement complaint with the Attorney General!

That same robert guy call me about me about me sister. When i asked him how he got my unlisted number he said they pay good money to a private investigator to get the phone numbers of the people close the the person their looking for. He's an a***ole was mean and rude. Told my sister to not worry about him hes not a lawyer just a paper pusher.

I received a call as well from Jacobson and Associates. A Mr. Engardia to be exact! He left a message telling me he was going to file a public record in my local countys office. He also stated that I have been given several opportunities to resolve this issue! WHAT ISSUE????? He also called my father that lives in another state! How did he know my fathers phone number? That's when I decided to put in the 800-440-2297 phone number and came up with all these complaints! Looks like I am not the only one with this problem!! I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General first thing in the morning! Also filing a harrasement complaint with the Attorney General! I returned the phone call and of course received a voice mail as well as all the other people before me!

got a call from "George Cristo" from Jacobson and Associates.  All attempts to find info on both this person and the alledged law firm failed.  The 800 number came up unknown.  After searching the web I found this is a scam. I do not know the goal but beware.
