Ive got the same call , the strange thing that I live 14000 Miles away from USA . I Have a Magic Jack Phone Number with US Number for My Clients of business and they said that they are dept collector and the last time I was in US in my collage year 1987 at the time I dint have No Phone , No Social Security Number Other than the school gave me

Its VERIZON...someone either used your phone to call them or someone had your phone number before you.....

Got the call, i didn't pay some bill apparently,, told them they have the wrong number... Having credit in america is overrated.. People shouldnt be borrowing anyhow...

We rec'd a call from them concerning a paid off credit card-she wanted my husbands birth date & said he rname was Chrystal Billard or Dillard. I would'nt give her his birthdate. She gave me the 1-800-440-6613 ext. 3141 BUT the only reason I answered was because the phone number on my caller ID had a local number in Bolton Landing, NY I do not ever answer 800 numbers because of all the calls i get all times of the day. I am on the do not call list & I am placing a complaint if this Chrystal is reading this or this phony co. ARS. Plus i am giving them her other local number . I am sick of these people and their lies.

Received this call from 800 440-6613 ext. 3615, made by a 'lady' and did not wish to leave any message, except the 'extension no' and when asked to provide the purpose of the call "it's private".

these people have just started calling me, i have no job and no money. so good luck trying to get the money i owe. Not like i want this, but you people dont offer anything for people who CANNOT work!!!!

This is ARS a collection agency. They call you from a local number so you will answer. If you don't answer they leave a message to call 8004406613. The local number they used to call me was 2103842967.
They call every number they think they have on you everyday. All times of the day.

I personally have never received a call from these people, have no messages from them and no letters from them. My boss came in my office this morning and shut the door, he was very upset, he said that he received a call on his home phone last night, it was from this number and they wanted to talk to me. He told them that i did no live with him but that i was his employee.  No what in the he** are they doing calling my boss, the owner of the company i work for. They had to do some serious research to find this information. Needless to say, he is not very happy about the fact i have some collection agency calling him at home. He understands it's not my fault but never the less, he is still upset. This could have a serious impact on me. I will be calling Mike Serrano back and telling him what i think of him.

At 8:40 this morning, I got a call from 9092702708. My answering machine recorded message from some guy saying call him back at this number 8004406613. I googled both numbers. Nothing on the 909 number. Lots of info here on the 800 number. The guy did not identify himself or the company, so it's probably a telemarketer, or debt collection service. Thanks for the info.

These a-holes keep calling me over some ALLEGED debt that I don't actually owe.  I answered one of their calls (from a spoofed local number) about two months ago and explained to the "account manager" that the alleged debt was not valid and that she could consider my statement to be official notice that it wasn't a valid debt and that they weren't allowed to call me again.  She said they wouldn't call me back.  About a month later, I started getting daily calls from a different spoofed local number.  After about ten unanswered calls, a guy supposedly named Rob started leaving me messages to call him back.  After about five of those messages with just his name, he started including that he works for ARS and is attempting to collect a debt.  I called back after hours and left him a message, telling him that the debt was not valid and instructing him to take me off of his call list.  He continues to call me 2-3 times EVERY DAY!  These jerkwads have no respect for privacy or for the law.  If they call you, don't answer, and don't be intimidated by all the BS they talk.  If you do speak with them, tell them to screw off and stop calling you.

Well, it ain't alright, because my credit has been destroyed by the crooks that stole my identity!
I haven't had a credit card since 1988! And can't apply for anymore credit since 1989. I can't even buy a car or a house or anything on credit.  I've already gone through 3 answering machines since then. And happy now that they're digital instead of that darn taped machine.
Anyway, they'll all just hear my message & I'll also be shredding their nasty mail for collections!
I NEVER answer the phone anyway. I just use my cell phone instead & I never get a debt collector call it. . . . . YET.....

Call shows as "UNKNOWN" on the caller ID. Left a message saying they were ARS National a debt collector. I know this is a scam because we have no outstanding debt. They keep calling until we file a complaint. Then it stops for about a year and then starts back up again. Same thing year after year.

ARS International called from this number.....they called my moms house looking for me.  Mom just wrote down the name and business.....they didnt tell my mom what they wanted.  My mom refused to give them any information about me since I live out of state.

Got a call from a local number - apparently they think if it's a local number I will answer because I think it is someone I know - was working so (thankfully) could not answer.  Someone whose voice was so garbled that I could not understand his name said he has been trying to contact my husband all month and he needs to call this 800 number as soon as possible so he can take care of my husband's file on his desk.  Tough luck, Chuck - my husband has been ill and out of work for over 2 years.  He has ZERO income, so go ahead and file a judgment - and don't hold your breath waiting to get your money.  I am working 2 jobs to pay the bills and my own debts.

I got a message my cell phone but the guy never said who he was or from what company he was calling from. He just said he wanted to talk to a Roberto Rodriguez. But the guy sad his extension was 1234. Thanks to all these comments I now know what company it is.

Calling someone I don't even know!

I received a call today from this number.  The return number was left on my answering machine.  It was intercepted by my privacy manager feature through my telephone company.  It instructed the caller to call back and leave a message.  He did.  He knew my last name, and asked for someone of whom I have never heard.  I hate it when these people call, and he was RUDE too.  Even on my answering machine.  I have a reference number and I really don't think they need a call back! grrrrr! The name he left was Mr Crawford.  Well, Mr Crawford, don't call back, and don't be rude on the phone.  You are just hassling people!  Get a real job!

This is a collection agency.  Unless you are prepared to pay don't call.

They are Associated Recovery Systems.  I found this when I googled them:
"A statewide class action has been filed in California against collection specialist, ARS National Services, Inc., who operate as Associated Recovery. The action is brought on behalf of all California residents who received a collection letter from Associated which offered to settle the debt for a lesser amount, if payment was made immediately. The action is brought under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and seeks statutory damages as well as injunctive and declaratory relief.

This action arises from the alleged policy of Associated in which they include in their collection letters an offer to settle the outstanding debt for a reduced rate. The settlement offer is, according to the letters, a limited offer, requiring immediate payment. According to consumers, this offer is misleading and deceptive because Associated is allegedly always prepared to negotiate a settlement for a lesser amount. Thus, the language requiring immediate action is allegedly deceptive to consumers because they are given the impression that they need to act immediately in order to have an opportunity to discharge the debt at a reduced rate. The consumers claim that this has a coercive effect, limiting their ability to challenge the validity of the debt and limiting their ability to make an informed decision about the debt. The consumers allege that these letters are standard “form” type letters, mailed to thousands of consumers and that, as a result, the class in this case is potentially quite numerous."

They called me from 443-701-4637 and asked of someone whos name I don't know.  I don't owe any debts (at least none in collections), so I don't know if it is just a wrong number but they call all the time and this is first time they left a message.  I bet I have received 15 calls from them in 2 months.

They called a couple of days ago sounding like an attorney and saying that they had important paperwork they needed to discuss with us.  Since we do not have the paperwork that they wish to discuss in hand we have chosen not to call them back. The people on the VM sounded nice, however when dealing with these people they have someone call and you never actually get to talk to that nice person again.

The company is called ARS. The people who work from this number are rude, unprofessional, nasty and abusive. If you get a call from them you MUST file a report to the FTC as a collection complaint because ARS is usually in violation of consumer rights under the FCRA. The more complaints the Feds get from this company, the sooner they will take notice. I paid my debt off to another company called Alliance Management and have proof via bank statements, but apparently it was passed on to ARS and now I can’t even tell ARS my side of the story without getting yelled at by them.

They called and left a message on my VM. The person was polite but did not mention the company. I plugged in the number she left to do a search and got to this page. I know what this is about but I've been over it a hundred times with the original creditor and I'm not doing it again. They can't get blood from a stone. No job, losing my house, lost my car (which is the reason for this call I'm sure). Sue me all you want, threaten me all you want. Nothing I can do about it so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Keep talking to the VM because I'm done with this.

ARS has been calling me twice a day until I spoke with them. They were looking for someone else with my name. Once I told them I wasn't the person they were looking for, they said they would update their files...  We shall see if they do and stop calling me.

I called it’s a company called ARS (Associate Recovery Systems) National.   Sounds like a dept collector.

Hello, I need information

Jeremy called today and left this call back number.  Still has that matter on his desk and has some options to discuss with me.  Well, Jeremy, I am still unemployed, still no money to pay the bill, you won't take a paid in full settlement at a reasonable amount, so keep trying and know do not answer unknown caller ID's or any number I do not recognize.  Also remember I live in Texas so no wage garnishment (I have no job either, remember) can't attach any assets, I do not own a home (Texas is a homestead state so you cannot lien against it) can't take my truck (10 yrs old and 265,000 miles).  So be reasonable and lets get on with our lives take my offer.

I got a call from "Connie" who gave me this number to return my call.   She told me she had "good news."  Riiiiiiight!  Like I'm going to fall for that.  Thanks to the others who identified what company this is.
