Lol!  Yeah, I do that too and it's worked out great.  But I have them filed under "Spam" and put a can of spam as the picture that displays when any of these numbers call.  As the ringtone I put the sound of a doorbell to simulate that annoying "Avon calling".  Don't have a silent ringtone.  Can't tell you how many of the numerous spam numbers I've collected over the years.  ;)

Received a call from them. It simply showed MN, USA as the caller. It rang once and then stopped. I did not answer. I will block it.

The DNC is not perfect, but it is our best tool so far.  The DNC people must get a minimum number of complaints (in the THOUSANDS, I suspect) from all different numbers/people in order to open an investigation.  Unfortunately, I believe a lot of the SCAMMMERS know what this threshold is, and change their SPOOFED outgoing number in order to avoid detection/prosecution.  Also, they know that only a small percentage of people follow through on OFFICIAL complaints.  800Notes and other sites are great for sharing info amongst us 'victims' BUT it DOES NOTHING to set the wheels in motion for justice.

got a call from this number about unsecured debt relief.  the caller sounded like a robot but assured me he was a real person.

the machines are taking over.  i also told them i am the DNC (which is a joke)

I received unwanted phone called from 612 351 3173 at random times and days even in the evenings - with a recording saying "Hello, This is Jim Warner" and if you are quiet for more than a second the recording says in its robot voice "Are you still there?" And if you are quiet for just another second it hangs up on you. Attempts to say things like "Do not call" and "Operator" get you hung up on.

DNC is a joke, they don't do anything to callers that persist in calling. The don't prosecute, or followup.

Called said his name was Jim Warner. I often get mute at this point if I dont know the person... He asked if I was still there? Still a unrecognized voice. I hung up. This same number called my cell phone last week - not leaving a V/M.

That's a great idea. In fact I have a whole slew of numbers saved under the contact name of SKUM. Whenever they call again it shows up as SKUM calling and I just ignore it. Good idea to make that one contact silent though!

Ok..So here is how you stop this.. on your phone save the # and give it a silent ring so you don't here it, after not
answering the call so many times the computer will throw the number out as no answer... done :)

The call came up on my 11yr old daughters phone. It's one of those phones that only has a few #'s programmed in it & she can only call 5 people. So how did they get her #?? This is some major BS.. I am very concerned about this as a parent.

received a phone call from this phone number today, no message was left. Second SPAM caller today. Listed as a caller from MN, USA.

I WILL block this one, and File A Complaint with the DNC as I always do.

NOT TRUE on the Federal Level.  Read the rules.  It clearly states the list is NOW PERMANENT.

I don't believe the numbers are "randomly dialed" as we have FIVE numbers registered with the DNC list, including 2 private personal cells, one business-issued cell and one UNpublished home business line.   ONLY my long-time (36+ yrs) PUBLISHED (w/name/address) Home LAND line gets SPAMMED nearly every day.  I believe they work off lists from AMERICAN COMPANIES, including ATT, VERIZON and TIME WARNER who furnish list of numbers as a way of BOOSTING THEIR OWN REVENUES.  They many even STEAL lists of numbers from Call Centers where, I'm sure, a lot of them - or their scummy relatives - work.  My other phones get the OCASSIONAL spam call; like once every 4-6 weeks, but not like the DAILY ONSLAUGHT that my home landline gets.  If it were random and consecutive, then ALL my phones would be getting them all the time.

BTW, I just got a call from this number on my home landline (which is why I'm here at this site) and

Claimed to be offering some kind of debt relief.  Sad that people have nothing better to do with their lives.  I'd rather work at McDonald's than do nothing other than make people mad all day.
