Ohhhhh, I forgot to mention.  Under no circumstances, do not return their call.  It indicates an active number and encourages this type of behavior.

Unfortunately, you all miss the prime issue here.  It is illegal for any company to call a cell phone for any reason, unless express permission is given for it to do so.  In any case it is illegal for any company to call a cell phone for the purpose of marketing, collecting bills or soliciting business of any kind either by automatic dialers or manual dialing.  The company can and will be fined heavily for each instance of misuse. All that has to be done is report the number.

Just bought a brand new cell phone and have received several calls from both the number above and 800.829-7750 looking for the person who probably had the number before.

Got a call from 800-443-2963 today. Caller was a woman who refused to give her name, or the name of the company she was calling on behalf of. She said she was trying to get a Mr. R.S., and referred to me by that name during the call. We know this Mr. R.S. I refused to give them my name, or even confirm or deny that I was the person they were seeking. When someone calls me, if they don't clearly identify themselves, and what they are calling about, they get nothing from me. I proudly state that I cursed the lady. This is not the first call we've gotten about R.S. over the years, and, in fact, have also gotten such calls regarding his brother. I called the number back, and was told by the woman who came on the phone that the number I was calling back from was no longer in their system. Apparently, they got it out of their system in the 10 or so minutes it took me to call back.

Keep getting the call number showing on the caller ID.  I don't answer.  Just let the phone ring.  I disconnected the answering machine.  Lots of calls from these types of numbers.  I check everyone online.  They're all scam artists or crank calls.  I think this is spam for phones.

I have already been dupped once by a debt collector who walked away with some of my money.   This number is a debt collector wanting to collect the same debt.  Not sure if they are legit or not.  I'm trying to figure out how to figure out if people are honestly collecting debt, or just taking my money.  

This sucks!, and I'm really frustrated.

Trying to collect a debt from the year 1999 from a disabled relative. Don't respond to phone calls, a letter must be sent first then followed by a phone call. Also, these debts have been written off many years ago and these companies buy them in bundles for pennies each.

Just got a phone call from this number (1-800-443-2963) saying it was from a clooction agency--couldn't make out half what he said. Said his name was Maxwell or something. I demanded that he send paperwork to validate that he owned the debt--and hung up. Then I blocked the number on my phone.

I keep getting calls either from this # or other 800 #s.  I just don't answer the phone.  That way they can't annoy me.  They call on my cell phone so the ID comes up.  My message on my phone is:  Leave your name, number and reason for your call and if you dont then screw you.

I keep getting calls from this company and they are very rude and loud. You have 24 hours to pay this or a lawyer will be involved. They wont leave a message and now they are calling my work. I talk to the company that supposedly turned it over to them and they have no records.

Received a call from this number and a voicemail.  States he is Johnny Mecurio.  Absolutely crucial that I contact him immediately concerning pending debt collection actions.  HEY Johnny Douchbag Mecurio, sorry to see the situation YOUR in, I hope it gets better.  THERE b*tch, youv'e been contacted.

I just got a call... at 8:55pm from this number.  Asking for a Bradley when I said no, he said "This isn't the Long residence?" I said nope.. and hung up.  I have an ex brother in law with that name... guess they are looking for him as well!

Need to know more about this number. They are requesting personal information regarding my family without any info about them except a name National Fionjancial Service. A very rude man named Mr. Bona who demanded I wake up my 90 year old father with demitia.

I've also gotten a call from Mr. Maxwell.  They have the wrong number as well, but continue calling.  Maybe they need a taste of their own medicine and everyone should call them 2 to 3 times a day and yell at them.

Got the same call, and when I called back, got someone to answer but when I tried to find out what the call was about, it switched over to music.

Good old Marshall continues to try good, old-fashioned fraudulent debt collection, though more frequently.  He sounds barely literate; my guess is his spelling is no better than that of dumbass (see above).

I have no clue why this drunk keeps calling my phone i owe no one anythhing and this is a private non published number. i have filed numerous complaints against this drunken fool who calls and it sounds like its recorded and only a partial message.
no company name shows up just the number and says 800 service.
they call 7 to 8 times a day and i am on the dnc list both federal and state.
i have filed several times against this corrupt caller yet i get no reply from anyone.
my next step is to change my number i have had for years which i have always kept private.
if i could get the address of this person i would pay a personal visit to them.
if anyone ever comes across this persons personal home phone number or cell phone number please let me know because i would love to call them over and over again like they do all of us.
i know many people who get new numbers and have this problem because the numbers are recycled and this should not be so.
so my next step is to use call forwarding and since i can forward select calls to another number i plan on forwarding all calls from this moron to the 888 number for the dnc i hope they get along talking to each other,. if anyone elese has a  suggestion please let me know and i know all of you are in the same boat as me and i wish you luck!

I am sooo tired of getting calls from this # - advising me they are a debt collection agency & to call immediately and ask for Mr. Finnegan!  I owe no uncollectible debt - and don't know this person's intent - except maybe to scam me?

He is not a drunk! He is a real person and that is his name. Just pick up your phone and talk to him if he calls, If he has the wrong number let him know so he can take it out of the system. It's that easy.

I guess National Action Financial Corp must buy off the FTC, or at least the troops who are supposed to pursue scammers like this, rather than surfing porn sites on the taxpayers' dime or whatever they do.
