Why would they call from 2 different numbers if it really was from Dell? They just called here with another number, 800-971-3355 but used this one (800-456-3355) less than 20 seconds after. Sounds fishy.

I think this number was spoofed. I have no reason for Dell to contact me. I've had weird run ins with this company where I think some web pages and customer service numbers listed are bogus. And seeing that most PCs get hacked, it makes sense and seems like a great idea. Someone should alert Dell and have them keep tabs on their online presence to make sure all the info is correct.

Everyone mentions it being Dell support but I had no reason for Dell to contact me. I'm beginning to think these posting are just listed to ease concerns on spoofing. I think all the stuff here is b***s***. I think it's brilliant to spoof an established company no one would question and I find it troubling that it doesn't make sense they would call me.

Come on are you serious?. This a a 100% legit phone call. Maybe someone made a typo in their phone number while ordering.

I called dell tech service at the number they provided when I bought my computer and they told me this call from 800-456-3355 was a scam and that Dell would never call me  I have to call them for problems

I got several calls from this number and never answered then they left a few voicemails about my "purchase" which I NEVER made. A few days later, I found out my credit card had been charged by Dell.... Now my bank is investigating....

I received a call from this number - it was Dell calling to confirm that I had received the warranty replacement part that was shipped to me.

I keep getting calls from this number (and others) from Dell.  They keep asking for David Yashiama.  I have told them COUNTLESS times that whoever that is DOES NOT have this number.  I have asked them COUNTLESS times to remove my number from their system.  Guess they don't listen, as I just now got another call from them, asking for the same guy.  When I said it wasn't David's phone number, the guy on the other end acted like it was surprise.  (I will say in Dell's defense, they aren't the only ones doing this. I've had calls for him from Chase, his eye doctor, Tennis World, and several other places.  I wish David could get his stupid cell phone number right when he gives it out to people.)

This is a legitimate Dell number. It's the number that their online phone service dials out through. It always confuses me because it's an American 800 number,  but my fiance sometimes uses it to call me from DFS Canada.

This number was Dell Customer Care. They were just verifying I received service.

The people that are posting this saying this is a legit dell phone number (800-456-3355) are lying to you. I just got off the phone with dell and they said it is not any phone number they use PERIOD.

I received  numerous calls from this number.  A partial ring, not fast enough to pick it up. Then it continued to do the same thing about 7 times.  I'm not calling it back after reading all these messages..

This number is in fact a legitimate Dell number. I recently looked into financing a new Dell, then decided against it. It seems the information got to Dell even though I'd assumed I'd cancelled it before completing the application. In any case it was Dell verifying the order and financing, which I declined. All things aside, this is not a scam number as far as I can tell and it does go back to Dell.  

call came in from this number. but when asked for call back number, was given 512-725-0452. Why would we be given a long distance number to call back on? It is a scam. just got off line with Dell and this call back number is NOT one of theirs and the account number this person gave me was not valid. They tried this back in November too.

This number was actually legit for me. I recently applied for a position with Dell and this was the number that popped up on the caller id when the recruiter was calling me in regards to my application.

Dell customer support, called me to follow up on a previous issue I had with an order to make sure everything has been resolved to my satisfaction.

I get calls from these people 2 or 3 times a week, 2 each day they call. They are trying to lower my credit card interest, which means for dummies they want me to give them my card number. Not damn likely. This is NOT a Dell number. I don't know where you got that info from but it is wrong, I just got 2 call from them in the past hour. NOT DELL!!!!!!!

Dell customer support, usually calling back to follow up on a order or a repair order.  So don't ignore it.

Legitimate call from Dell. I had called Dell recently about an issue with an order of mine. The person on this call addressed me by name and referenced the specific product that I had called earlier about.

Receive calls continually on our home phone and both cell phones from this number.  They never leave a message.  If this is, in fact, Dell Support we want nothing to do with them.  Last year we were having problems with our Dell laptop which was less than 6 months old.  Called Dell Support and they messed the laptop up so much we ended up having to take it to a local computer store to have repaired.  We ended up paying almost $300.00 to fix what Dell did to our laptop.  We contacted Dell regarding this issue and they refused to do anything about it.  

This is Dell Tech Support, I reported a problem last week that had been resolved and this was the tech I spoke with following up to make sure all was ok.

Received phone call today at 7:12am at my work place from this number 8004563355. unknown reason why they called since they did not leave any message on my voicemail.

I did this week buy a computer from Dell, but didn't answer since it ID'd as TOLL FREE CALL. Came here and find out it's Dell, and this is their main customer contact number. If you haven't bought anything from Dell then there is a problem.

The problem is they're calling the wrong number, repeatedly... Blocked.

I had problems last week with my laptop.  Dell is sending me new disks.  The call I received wanted to confirm that I had received the disks...and if I needed any further help.
