We got this letter in MINNESOTA recently..... DO NOT REPLY OR RESPOND TO IT.... We have been chased by the Repo Man for five plus years and successfully still have our vehicle... This is a scam, always watch and cover your back. DO NOT let people into your garage home or for any reason. Possession in 9/10ths of the law, remember that.

PECS sent a letter to my address, which my son, who is on unemployment, and broke, uses as his address....they have been trying to repo his car too.....I am forwarding this letter to the Attorney General's Office of my state (MN)....I don't think that it is legal to do this.....

Package Express Couriers
7549 Century Drive
Boulder, CO 80301
(800) 459-2167

The above address is given in the letter, however, it had a "St. Paul MN" postmark...they are idiots....at least have it sent from CO.

If it is for CRAPITOL ONE, it would not surprise me. Why this would not be illegal, even for a repo company is beyond me. Have been out of work for 6 months and have 4 payments left  before it is paid off.  I have been slowly getting caught up,and told a different thing every time. Really?  Even told them I could pay it COMPLETELY OFF if I could be given 2 more weeks as I had a old 401K that I had forgotten about and could cash it in but it would take time before I actually got the funds.

I rec'd a letter from PECS, parcel, 4-7 lbs.  Not expecting a parcel. I did order electronics online and forgot to change my credit card info. When I went to my account on the company's website I noticed that three payments hadn't been processed.  I think it's a company trying to repossess item's bought online.

If you have recieved a letter from PECS, it means that you have not paid your car payment and the Repo Company is setting you up to be home at a certain time so they can take your car. Either sell your car now, file bankruptcy to gain more time or let them repo it. If you try and hide from them, they will become a pain in your a**.

Claims it is Pacage Express Couriers out of Boulder Co.  Call this number and you must leave a message.  Can't find them anywhere in reverse or yellow pages.
Any ideas anyone.  Supposedly they have a package for me. Sensitive or fragile content.

Ask yourself 2 questions:
1- Are you expecting any package or parcel that would require a signature?

2- Do you "OWE" someone that could be trying to locate you in order to confirm an address, employer or other contact info?

Some businesses specialize in locating people and they use "human nature" to lure people into contacting them. The best ploy is to "imply" that you have something of interest or value but need to provide contact info to get access to more details.

A legitimate courier service should be "easy" to locate and validate. If not, then be very suspicious!

I also received a letter, but I know there isn't anyone that I "want to hear from" that has anything to send me requiring my signature!

I got the same letter and have been trying to find out if they exist. Can't find them anywhere. I agree with Chris.
I have no packages that I am expecting that would be sent from an unknown delivery service. Nor do I know anyone in Colorado. I tried to call and got a machine. I am not stupid enough to leave a message and you shouldn't either

Same BS here, knowing my current situation I'd guess they're a collection agency or they work for them. I'll let you know if it turns out to be a box of money!

Believe me, PECS and the 1-800 are BOGUS!  This firm is NOT a legitimate delivery service, but a cover for a vehicle repo service.   They set up a special "two hour window delivery window" to make certain you're home so they can tow your car to the impound lot.  My advice is to not acknowledge the toll-free call number and DON'T SIGN ANYTHING!   Trickery -- what a lousy, unethical way to do business.

I received the letter with the phone number 1-800-459-2167. After entering the extension number requested a woman's voice says that either one of us are able to come to the phone at this time please leave your contact info. I tried caling back at various times of the day and then the number says you have reached a number that has been disconnected or no longer in service, which I thought was very weird also. The envelope that this letter was sent in did not have a return address also.

I received a letter in the mail from "package express couriers".  when I called back I got the same automated response as others - wanting me to leave a message with all of my contact info - the letter even stated that I had a "parcel" coming (vs. "flat") and that it was "4-7 pounds".

seems to weird to me also, as I am not expecting a package like this.

I got the same letter as Strider.

PECS Final Notice

7549 Century Drive, Boulder, CO 80301

I'm not expecting a package and I too am in a situation that it's probably someone trying to get my info verified so they can keep calling or get me to call them.  I'm not calling them, it's just weird.

They want me to call and claim a package. When I do I end up with a request to leave a message "as nobody is available'. I'm not expecting any package nor can I find them listed anyway. Taking my situation into account I'm guessing it's a collection agency pulling a fast one.
