It's a collection agency.

They called and left a message for my Ex I divorced 8 years ago.  They were VERY rude when I called back and actually hung up on me.  I told her (she would not give her name) that I would get to the bottom of this and she said there was no bottom to get to.

An elderly relative (who has an unlisted number) related he was harassed today by someone from this number who had a message for me, being "Tell her if I don't hear from her by 2:00 Monday I'm going to take this case to ______ County."  He was told the number was 800-463-9480, and that I was to speak to Andy Espo @ extension 3023.  I tried to call but an automated message said they were closed till Monday. I then Googled the number and found it belongs to Capital Management Services, a collection agency, but after wracking my brain I still have NO IDEA what this could possibly be related to; I've not had this number on my caller ID of late nor have I ever received any voice mail or correspondence from CSM.  If on Monday I'm told attempts to reach me at my home phone have been unsuccessful I'll respond, "Then you must have blocked your number and we make it a point not to pick up on blocked calls because we think them inexcusably rude.  Even so you could have left a voice mail at any time. As it you harassed someone with an unpublished number and relayed a threat through someone wholly unconnected to whatever financial business you think you have with me.  So what exactly pray tell is so bloody important you couldn't be bothered with operating within the confines of federal debt collection legislation? And before you begin you should know this call is being recorded."

collection agency of some sort, i too got people who hesitated to give their names and then was transfered without being told i was going to be transfered! thats just rude! was told to call for a "Mr. Knoll" at extention 7403 no first name give - he was just rude - then randomly transfered me to a "mr. pintero" who was extention 7303 , nice guy but i still dont trust this company - seems shady and odd

It's a collection agency who has a worker named Mr Ass-hole (Asbo) who is rude as hell.  Don't know how to talk to people he does not know because this job is his life.  He leaves personal voicemails demanding information.  He would never get my cooperation like that even if he was legit.  I believe this is a joke.  It has to be.

Just send a letter to one of the addresses above, all you have to say is "cease and desist all collection efforts". Don't give your ssn or your address. All you have to do list the phone number they've been calling.

I received a message from my ex mother in law to return this call. I have been divorced for 7 years. They refused to give their name and company name. I asked what the intentions of the call were and they were rude, called me ignorant, irresponsible, and called me a bad mother for paying my bills with child support. They threatened me, my family, and my property. I have never received anything in 7 years about this action. I even offered to give them the correct address and phone number to reach me, but they said "it wasn't necessary, they would find my house and my place of business." They had an address from 7 years ago and my married name. I feel so violated and didn't even get to speak. My lawyer also called ans asked for a corresponding address to send a cease and desist lettter and they refused to give it, the company name, and hung up on her.

A person left a message in my answering machine. I returned the call thinking that it was something important but to my surprise it was answered by a man who did not even introduce himself. Told me that i owe them more than $6K since 1992. I told the guy that it was already settled and was asking me a lot of questions. I declined to respond as i am not sure if it was really legitimate so i told him to send me something in writing then i will respond but he refused and told me that i cannot do anything anymore except to pay.
He was so rude and even told me that it will affect my credit report. I told him that if did, then i should not have been able to buy 2 properties and cars.
It was indeed very irritating.

Got a call regarding a civil incident from 1-800-463-9480. I have no idea what this about and I've not ever been in trouble for anything, that I know of.

Simple solution to toll free numbers or no caller ID numbers,Toll Free Numbers etc. let your answering machine (if you have one) catch the call, review the call on your messages, if you still do not know who they are punch the erase key, only takes a second.  Tell friends and relatives that if their caller ID is blocked to not expect an answer or a return call. On the call I returned was simply going to tell the to not call again, but since I do not speak French that was not possible, so back to, call me with a toll free, unknown or blocked ID and the call will go unanswered. In reference to Bank of America I have always gotten an ID from them, requested or not. I am going to put Capital Management Services down as a collection Agency as I do not know who they are, but the number traces back to them. Also I do not owe anyone past due payments, so do not go there with me.

I was helped sir. This site I saw all the negative you and the like put on others for your financial inadequacies. I was treated right. You made your bed, why you blaming others?

Some guy who sounded like he had marbles in his mouth called and left some number to call him back and some bogus account number. Have no affilation with Capitol whateverthehell he mumbles and certainly not Bank of America. Don't own anyone a penny so I am documenting these harrassing calls.

Collectors don't help anybody but themselves (like you're trying to do). They can't fix your credit, they are never helpful. And they (YOU) LIE LIKE A RUG.

I Received a call from a Mr. Espo as well and I have to say that he was extremely professional.  I had been having a lot of personal issues and my debts kept growing and growing.  When I received the call from Mr. Espo he understood my situation and was extremely helpful.  Like I said he was very professional and really cared about helping me clear all of my debts.  I have to say I was impressed with how well everything was handled, I am very happy.

A man named Mike called saying my grandma had an outstanding $2044 balance on her Universal Credit Card (of which she does not have). Offering to accept $204 (10%) to clear this balance. He stated that she had the card for 6 years, but was unable to report any specific charges made to the account citing privacy laws that prevent him from seeing any of the charges. I don't think this is true. He was also very pushy about getting the payment corrected immediately. I did not have caller ID, but he left me the (800)463-9480 number to call back. 5am-8pm, 7 days a week. Sad..

My husband got a call at work, threatening to "file documents" against him and said that they knew where he worked and would do whatever necessary to settle this matter.  Of course, he was upset and called me to check it out (he was at work and unable to call).  When I called them, it took 3 tries before I got a person on the phone.  It was a recording "The next available associate will be with you shortly".  So, finally, I got someone on the phone, gave them the reference number and the man, who was SO rude, couldn't give me an account number, account name or an amount.  He just started asking for my husband's DOB and SS#.  I knew enough not to give that out.  I told him that if we legitimitely owed anything, to contact us by mail, as that was the only correspondance we would accept.  Then, I went on to tell him that he was not call my husband's place of employment again or we'd press charges and he hung up on me.  Sounded fishy to me.  Guess I'll keep an eye on the mail and see if anything comes.

Not everyone wishes to not pay their bills.  That is the assumption of a true lowlife.  There are people out there who are being harassed over bills that aren't even theirs.  So before you go running your mouth off about how people who don't pay their bills are "deadbeats" or "thieves", consider those of us who are being harassed over bills that are for people who don't even have the same name!

By the way, I don't have any debt because I pay my bills.  Yet, I'm still being incessantly harassed by debt collectors for a person who never has, nor will they ever be, in my household.
