I got the same letter with the same amount owed...28.957.00 really never had a credit card with this much credit, as mine shows it is due to a cedit card balance outstanding.  
No business name on the letter anywhere, no name of the credit card company they are supposedly representing...I didn't call I was more afraif that once I called it would be one of those foreign numbers you get billed hundreds of dollars for.   I am turning mine into my local Better Business Bureau and letting them investigated and possibly contacting local news stations.

read the fine print at the bottom you morons ...it says balance shown aboveis an estimate .. their not saying you owe them anything .. they would like you to use their company to pay off any creditors you do have .. just throw the letter away

I too received a letter claiming outstanding debt of $28,957.  It immediately sent up my scam radar, for a number of reasons (including the fact that I recently checked my credit report and know that I neither willingly nor through identity theft come up owing that kind of money anywhere).  I've never received a call from them, I'm almost curious enough to call and tape it and put it online.  These folks sound like scum of the earth.

Received a letter stating that this is the final notice and that I too owe $28,957 and doesn't mention to whom the debt is owed, this is certainly a scam and needs to be stopped.

I receive this notice today....in the mail...that l owed $28,957.00...this is scary...how did they get our addresses..l don't owe anything...final notice....please be aware...

Get calls on my cell phone *all the time* from them. Today, I got a letter in the mail from them (same number listed on the mailing) and they want me to call them for "renegotiation of an outstanding balance of $28,957.00"....really????? That's a hell of a credit line someone gave me - since I've never owned/purchased a home!! They don't even list WHO the money is owed to!

In the "fine print" it says "This is a communication from Rescue 1 Financial, LLC and gives a web address of http://www.rescueonefinancial.com/get-out-of-debt-2010
