"Hors de Region" using a call number of (323) 272-2001 has been calling up to twice a day to a 93 year old friend of mine.  She will not answer the phone for it, yet they never leave her a message.  Obvious scammers...told her never to bother with this sort of incoming call.  How dare they disturb someone, especially at her age, in her own home.  Calling back is of no use - a recording states "Sorry, you have reached a number that is no longer in service."  Yet, the calls from this number keep coming in.

Got repeat calls from this number and no D8Y8one answers when I do.

Just a note that the many charitities are for Shriner's Circus, etc, but the one I'm familiar with most is the one posted above.

The name of the corportation is Xentel DM Incorporated which is now going under the name iMarketing Solutions Group INC. and may possibly represent themselves on the phone as iMark events. I called the police in my area and they said they would check it out to see if it is legit or not. They call for many chairities saying they are "from Police Watch with a recorded call on behalf of Canadian Police Association" then they continue to say that they are calling "to inform you that the Canadian Police Association has a program called Cops For Kids Safety". Check them out. Call the police if you get a call and report it.

Called twice today would not let answering machine answer call but hung up before. No name on name display .

Calls 4x a week. Does not leave message. When answered and waiting 30 sec. asks for wife by name. Response not in - will not say reason for call and rudely hangs up. Enough allready. Police association-not true.

I get these calls almost everyday atleast 5 times a day! I normally do not donate money on the phone or internet but i made the mistake of one time donating to the police association and now they wont stop. I think they have forwarded my number to other companies as well i recieve phone calls from people who say you donated to a drug awarenss program a year ago which i didnt and they would liek my support again and i say no thank you. THen i got a phone call from someone who says you can save lives of teenagers by helping raise money for in school programs like you did last year which again i did not give any money to anyone last year. And i told the policee pple they called me 30 times in the last 2 months  already asking for a donation and i said no and my answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GRRRRRRRR  I stopped picking up the phone and tell my family members not to either unfortunately they forget .

Apparently, these criminals are at it again. They called here just now. I have no idea what sort of scam they are working on (donation to a phoney police organization, phoney donation to some legitimate organization which will never get to them)

You should know that this phone number has been the subject of a RCMP warning - do not give money or you will be the victim of a fraud.

I doubt that any of these companies/organizations/service providers are actually collecting anything through these people. They (if it is Zentel) are simply thieves wanting to steal from you....they are not collecting anything on behalf of anyone. They are doing it so they can put money in their own pockets. Check with this 'police association' or Shriners and you will find they deny any knowledge about this and recommend you DO NOT give them any money. Hang up! Don't talk with them!

this is  bogus telemarketing -said another way IT IS A SCAM! IT IS A RIPOFF. Don't blame the police for this. These criminal bottom feeders bank on you being afraid to say no you will not support the police. LIke what police association???? How many hundreds are there  in the country. This isn't even a sophisticated scam.

just got another call from them right now (7:15pm).  no voice.  display says "toll free service"  6th call in a week.

Have been called several times, no one on the line when I pick up. So today I called back and got their answering machine saying I had reached the information line of the Canadian Police Association. If I had called because I had seen their number on my caller ID, they had tried to get hold of me to talk of their upcoming programs and ask for my support. Automated calling was the most cost effective way, she said. I could get more info by calling their care centre at 800 378 0929, so that is what I will do tomorrow, and demand to be taken off their calling list.

I have rec'd a call from Kops for kids program and unfortunatly I fell for it and mailed them a cheque and they also mailed me brochures explaining the program. The caller also had me transferred to his so called supervisor.  They got me once and will not get me again.

They call but I ignore 1-800 numbers. May they go toothless in an apple orchard!

i use call blocking......phone your local phone company and get call blocking info from them.

Same thing here. They called and hung up. If the people above are right and it is Xentel. They are a sleazy organization based in the US and Canada targeting mainly Canadians by pretending to raise money for Police based charities. The scam they presented me another time from 800-917-4194 was offering tickets to some police/fireman game to raise money for charity and I could buy tickets to send underprivileged kids or go myself. They have been sued by the US govt. for failing to disclose that they are not a charity but a fundraiser. The money they collect goes 90% to themselves and 10% to the charity. That is how they stay in business because this practice is perfectly legal. You will soon get a posting here from someone probably a management employee of Xentel defending this practice. In spite of lawsuits they make a fortune. Don't give them a cent. Give money directly to registered charities of your choice.

My answering machine announces all caller numbers. I do not answer any 800/06/77 numbers ever,therefore, I don't know what they wanted.

This number is calling an elderly friend of mine a couple of times every day.  He will not answer the phone.  When I tried to call back, I got a recording that it is the 'Canadian Police Association'.  Look up this name on Revenue Canada's list of Charities and you will find out that it is NOT a registered charity!

The recorded message says that their lines are manned Mon to Fri during their regular office hours.  I will call again tomorrow and ask that my friend be taken off their calling list.   He made the mistake of giving them money a few years ago and they never give up.

I asked them to send me an actual paper request , which I got and it turned out that what they are really asking for is a donation to support the CPA, not the charity. They would say how much of my money actually will go to the charity that they are soliciting under?
