My car is 19 years old! LOL
mary 2011-06-06 20:57:51 Unknown
The call came from a gal who asked me the year and make of my car...I was then transferred to another person, a man, who either hung up on me after I told him the year and make of my car, 1992 Jeep Grand Cheerokee..I thought it strange since my car is so old, but it only has a little over 67,000 miles on it.

Wow, they are slipping. My elderly mother just got another one. Been a few months. Funny how I never get any. Must be too young and on the ball.
Jimmy Shakes 2010-01-19 18:10:21 Unknown
And she gets yet another one. Actually, I haven't gotten any from these clowns before. Just the green card ones unless they are the same idiot scammers.
Jimmy Shakes 2010-01-02 17:01:11 Unknown

They definitely target the elderly. My mother has gotten this scam card many, many, many more times than I ever have.

My family received the infamous green postcard also.
Googling the phone number I found the web site <http://www.atlaswarranty.com>. A whois of the domain shows the following as the Registrant and Administrative Contact:

Performing a corporate search of Carhill Enterprises Inc. at the Missouri Secretary of State web page took me to the following URL:

with the following registered agent, for service of process:

Wow. These scammers really move around. There are at least 3 different addreses posted here.
Mike 2008-10-01 14:59:52 Unknown
Amazing how this 'Final Notice' is just never the final one. They certainly like to target the elderly I have noticed.
Unstated 2008-09-02 20:08:53 Unknown
Also received the green card and a similar junk phone call on the same day (today).

Address listed as 2020 Pennsylvania Ave appears to be a an office building according to Google maps. You will probably have to copy/paste the link. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=h3b&resnum=0&q=consumer%20protection%20services%202020%20pennsylvania%20avenue%20nw%20washington%20dc&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl They probably rent office space there and all it consists of is cubicles staffed by minimum wage lackeys that make cold calls and accepting the calls from the cards/letters they mail out.
Unfortunately, I don't believe that "final notice" used in in advertising are unlawful or fraudulent just like the "One Day Only" sales that seem to happen every day. Don't take my word for it as IANAL, and I haven't looked up any relevant information and is basically what I recall from by business law class from 6 or so years ago.
So far they haven't called the home phone and I get the cards/letters multiple times a month. Basically I found this thread is by searching for their address and/or company information. From what I can tell, they do not have an Internet presence.
My bet is they get their information from the state's DMV whenever somebody purchases a used vehicle. The junk mail about the vehicle warranty didn't start until nearly a month after I purchased a used vehicle. Funny thing is I had the option of purchasing additional warranty coverage from the dealer through a third party, but I declined due to the extra cost associated with it that would add nearly $50 a month to the payments.
Scam? Probably, if we are to believe one of the previous posters comments about them not being forthcoming with any information regarding the warranty. Those are the kind of questions I would ask and they don't need your ID# to tell who provides the warranty, how to redeem, etc. A legitimate warranty company is more than happy to provide that information and allow you to verify it.

These people are calling my spouses's cell phone number, and bombarding the residence with green postcards about "Vehicle Warranty Proetection Expires .. call within 72 hours to re-establish protection" with a pseudo-rubber stamp marking in red "FINAL NOTICE!". The address given on the card is "Consumer proetection services" po box 853, 2020 Pennsylvania Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20006. If there is really such a post office box, can someone contact postal authorities to investigate ... If we make a collection of the multiple "FINAL NOTICE"s received by each addressee, does that constitute some sort of fraud?

They have been calling here for months. I have asked them to remove my number from the database. The "operator" just hangs up. Today I spoke to
michelle who seemed very eager to sell me any type of warrenty. I kept asking who the parent company was.. who issues the insurance.. all she would say was "warrenty Protection".
She then addressed my by the name of the person who USE to have the phone number. (he is in tons of collections) - when i informed her i was not his wife and that number was not valid she tried to sell me insurance when i declined she hung up on me.

got a card in the mail my brother called the number and let the guy listen for about 15 min to rush limbaugh he hung up, the guy called back and then my brother let him know that it was a mistake to call him, the guy called back and I recieved the call and asked him how he got the address and names of people he was scamming such as older retired people when there had never been a car at their residence which had ever had a warranty, I also told him that he new exactly who he was targeting, as far as names and age or other details, told him I knew he had the information at hand as I understood the workings of computers very well he called me an Idiot and a Dumbass and denied any of my accusations, said he did not know who he was sending the information out to unless I gave him the reference number off the card which I of course would not do.Also asked him what criteria he used to send out the information to people and again he told me he could not tell me what criteria he was using unless I was to give him the reference number.

This was a notice in the mail stating "Vehicle Warranty Protection Expires - call within 72 hours to re-establish protection - Final Notice!"
I tried to search for more information but that is for now other than different addresses. Some one needs to catch the guy and rip his sack off (if it's a guy).
