I keep getting a call from this person, at first he said his name was Raymond Scott saying that I owe him money for Cashnet. When I already know that I paid it. Now this person is saying his name is Chris Logan and the number is 724-512-2112.

My old debt was sold to the people at this number by cashnetusa.com and now having trouble getting a small loan. Is there a way to remove this if the company is fake.

This number is not in service...We have a debt that needs to be cleared with them and I have called the numbers listed on their website. I have yet to get in touch with anyone. This crap is making me mad!!

I  just got my credit report and it list paragon way as a creditor to collect some debt from an old credit card. I try to call the numbers the toll free and all of the others and it just gives me a busy tone. I don't understand i'm trying to settle my debt and i can't get through to pay it? any suggestions

I have had calls from this number every day for a week now. I have always been at work so they don't leave any message on the answer machine. This really bugs!

They call nearly everyday looking for the same person that I do not know.  Does no good to tell them this.  Any ideas on who to file a complaint with?

This number keeps coming up on my called ID but cinse my phone goes directly to my FAX machime after 2 rings I never hear what they want.  I hope they enjoy my FAX machine.

1-800-486-3147 belongs to Paragon Way.  Other web sites state that this is a collection agency in Austin, TX that buys old credit debt.  They do not have updated information nor do they usually have right to legally pursue a debt if it is yours.  They always ask for social, telephone, etc.  In my case I gave the telephone number (cell) and they gave a totally different name.  I had the number for more than 3 years.  They are to remove the number.  

If they are calling you, you can provide the number they called.  They will tell you who they are looking for.  If not you, then they will remove your number.  However if you and this is an old debt that may not be collectable nor legally pursued anymore, you may need to get an attorney to get them to quit calling.

So are you an employee?  Why would anyone verify any information with a third party before they know what the call is about?  To do so validates the debt they hold which gives them the legal opportunity to collect on  debt that have gone past the statute of limitations.  Know this...YOU ARE UNDER NO LEGAL OBLIGATION TO COMMUNICATE OR PAY A THIRD PARTY COLLECTIONS AGENCY BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO PRIOR BUSINESS WITH THEM!  THE FACT THAT THEY BUY IT DOESN'T MAKE THEM THE LEGAL CREDITOR.

By law they cannot say what the business is about because they are not sure who they are talking to, however IDENTIFICATION via the phone number on caller ID, or simple manners like "My name is so and so with So and so regarding a private issue, when is the best time for me to contact them or here's my direct number they can call me..."
And if they do collect this debt who gets the money?  The original creditor who wrote it off as bad debt for tax reasons?

Recieved calls from them about a year ago, to settle a payday loan debt that was 3 years old. Had to pay 3x the amount of the debt, and within one week or they threatend to take me to court. I recently went into the payday loan place that the debt originated from, and they said that the debt was never paid. Have't been able to get ahold of Paragon Way to get them to let the payday loan place know that it was paid over 7 months ago.

They have been calling me daily.. I have NEVER  in my 49 years had a credit card... Took out one loan.. .for $4000 15 years ago. Paid it back in 15 months.... so... i really wish they would leave me the hell alone!! The vocal says it is Paragon Way and they want to make me a deal to "settle my account"!!!

Paragon Way calls me EVERY day leaving me a message on my answering machine asking that I return their call.  I'm going to see if I can register them on the "Do Not Call" list to see if it helps.

A female left a message on my answering machine to call their 800 number.  No further details offered.

I get phone calls everyday and they leave messages on my answering machine to call a 866-362-8816. I do not owe any body any money on this earth and I am tired of the harrassment. I never pick up the phone!

This number calls our office but is screened out as a "nuisance call" but does leave them an option to leave a voice mail message which they do, they say "call Paragon Way at 800-486-3147".  We just delete their message and do not return their call because we have never heard of them and we do not owe any money so this tactic doesn't get them very far, just annoying.

I have been getting calls at work from this number every week for months. I figured they were for the former person with the extension# & normally let it go to voicemail but finally decided to call them. I spoke with a Peter & asked what type of company it was & they told me well we do many diff things here. I told him they had been calling a business so they need to stop. He asked to verify the information & not one bit of it even matched my telephone#.  Anyway so he says since it was incorrect they will remove it all, we'll see if they continue to keep calling.

Got a call from Paragon Way again asking for my daughter advised this idiot that my number was not her personal number and to quit calling(when ever someone requests no calls that has to be honored for 10 days) Also educated the moron on the FDCPA guidelines (check the guidelines out on the website) about harassing calls.Mailed a certified letter requesting no contact(req signature card).So anyone who gets calls from this company send a letter requesting no contact.THEY HAVE TO ABIDE BY IT.THAT IS THE LAW
And one more thing.what ever state you live in check the state guidelines on calls like these. When there is no one on the other end of the call it is still being counted as a call ,because you answered it.companies can call up to 3 x per day

We get calls regularly from "Toll Free Call" and it always a different number.  I stopped answered ages ago as there is never anyone there.

Clara I hear where your coming from but if they have a wrong number why dont you tell them that and make sure your address on there system doesnt match yours.

did they contac right person there looking for and if yes did you tell paragonway they called your cell or give another number to contact you

Jack how do you know not to verify information there asking? Dont u want to make sure they have contacted right party online instead of a total stranger knowing your bussniess you have to think about it there just doing there job
