My fiance got a letter in the mail today listing this number. It's full of dire warnings about fines and imprisonment if someone other than the addressee opens it and that it's a FINAL NOTICE and talks in vague terms about HUD loans and then veers off into vague descriptions about how seniors can get money without having to touch their savings. Yes, that would be a reverse mortgage. There's no company name listed, only this phone number. Jerks.

Sonny from Green Tek.  This dip schmidt has called here every day for a week, and every day for a week she was set on hold and transferred to a not answered phone extension that doesn't have any phone.  Today I just laughed at poor poor Sunny.  She asked why I was laughing.  Did she REALLY think we wanted to buy anything?  Toner scams aren't even in vogue anymore.

UPDATE - I added more information to that thread.

"Sonny" from Green Tech or something calling wanting to know who takes care of the toner and ink purchases.  In my cheeriest voice, "just one moment" and forwarded him to the phone in the maintenance closet.  He can talk to the mops and buckets..... Hope I wasted more of his time than he did mine.  Only way to stop them is to cut into their bottom line.

Since I'm blocking all OPX calls (those showing UNAVAILABLE on Caller ID) with my Call Blocker from www.digitone.com I don't even hear the phone ring.  Screw them all.

Call from this number this morning. No one on the other end.

I receive these calls on my direct line at work. Its annoying and if i do not answer it is just a fax on the message. My business relies on my phone line to be open. There has got to be a way to stop this

Greentech. The guy was nice, asked who was in charge of purchasing ink and toner. I told him we had a contract, he thanked me for my time and hung up. Not the worst telemarketing call, but they're really annoying coming in on a business line.

I got scammed by Green Tech Imaging! The guy was super nice, and I stupidly fell for purchasing $200 toner. Now they are telling me that I have to order 11 more, because the package comes with 12. They won't stop calling! Do not talk to these people. Total scam.

This number called our business as I was on the other line, good thing for caller ID, I answered and acted like I was from a Chinese Restaurant and asked if they wanted Pork fry Rice in a Chinese Voice, They hung up... next time, I will act like I'm a prison warden... It's so much fun to play with these people.

I called them back after telling them i was not interested in whatever it is they were sellling,
When i called back i told them i was  Frank from Greentech and i was wondering if they wanted to buy some toner at 3x the market prices.  The woman on the phone , sigh'd and said "Frank, you're calling us again" ..

Caller ID on my phone came up as TOLL FREE CALL.  I rejected the call and then referred to my list of Received Calls for the day.  Came up as 888-217-1636 TOLL FREE CALL.

Love to Google in unknown numbers to find out where calls come from.  This is a wonderful site.  Thanks to all who gave information.

This call came from GreenTech Imaging. They sell printer ink/toner.  They have many complaints against them, which I discovered during a search on the web.

I received a phone call from "Nat"! Same ole story as above. We went back and forth over printing and saving on ink. I told him we were not interested. He then started to get smart, everything I said" He would repeat". I told him again we were not interested, that we already have someone. He stated" Yeah, but we can save you $300-$400 a year". I said" How do you know that"? Then I hung up.

Greentech repeatedly calls and attempts to sell us toner over the phone, but the caller refused to send us material.

Yes, because telemarketers and scammers are reading this and will promptly remove your number because you said so on some website lol... While you're at it, tell all those Nigerian princes to stop emailing you. Post your emails address like you did your phone number, I'm sure they'll listen...



Ok, serious, this is the classic TONER SCAM. They want to ship you a "trial" cartridge, but will keep billing you on a regular basis for new shipments whether you request them or not.

Well gee, thanks for your helpful point.  Since we are a business, and exempt from the wonderful protection of the do not call list I guess we should just let the scammers and telemarketers call all day.

We have absolutely nothing better to do than to be standing-by, at the telephone to happily receive these intrusions. A business owner must be out of his mind to even dare complain to either the irritating caller or heaven forbid the FCC that the calls they are receiving are an absolute nuisance and completely unwanted. After all, you wouldn't want to upset anyone.

You're right, businesses should just bend over and submit to these constant calls and quietly accept that there is absolutely nothing they can, or should do about this since the government in all its wisdom as exempted businesses.  You should just accept it and stop making trouble!

Just for future reference, there is no do not call registry for business. You can register with your phone company to stop the calls.

Just received a call from this number. I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer it as I can spend my work day answering telemarketing calls and that's not what I am paid to do.
We are on the Do Not Call list but I guess these people think that it's business related so they can call since all businesses use toner, right? I always check numbers I don't know and I ALWAYS report telemarketers to the Do Not Call site and the FTC but the calls don't stop.
Every call I've received this morning as been a telemarketer.

These clowns go under a bunch of different name, Green Tech Imaging, Allstate Imaging?.so on.  You already know that their out of Chatsworth California.  Their address is 21621 Nordhoff Street, Chatsworth, Ca 91311-5825.  The parent company is Porsche Entertainment Inc. or Allstate Communications.   I?m not sure which came first.  The CEO of Allstate is Russel Leventhal.

Ah, the ole' toner scam!  These companies try to get you to order ink/toner at many times the market price hoping that the person authorizing the purchase has no idea of what the correct price is.

They called, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.
