Obviously Bank of the West has had their system hacked. It's time they did something about it.

I have received calls from these impersonators in the past. It's a phishing scam attempting to get your personal information. These people need to be found and prosecuted!! 18004867766

I recieved a call from the number 800-486-7766. The automated message said I had an "important message regarding my account". It then prompted me to enter my billing ZIP code for verification purposes. I did not enter my ZIP and immediately hung up. I called my local branch of Bank of the West and asked them to check my account for any fraud alerts and to determine if it was, in fact, the bank legitimately calling me to verify purchases on my account. After only 5 minutes of research conducted by my branch's customer service manager, it was determined that Bank of the West DID NOT try to contact me, and there was no fraud alert on my account. This number DOES NOT belong to Bank of the West so do not supply any requested information. If you get any calls of this nature--from any phone number--it is best to call your branch directly or the known customer service number for your bank to determine the legitimacy of the call.

Bank of the West
Fully automated pain in the backside.
Calls for someone who does not work for us. Followed directions to be removed from calling list, and they still called back.
Tried to call them back, but number does not even ring through.
