My experience has mirrored the second poster. Very rude, obnoxious, and seemingly ill-equipped mentally to deal with anyone who is smarter than a gym sock. I asked the name of the company, they refused, I demanded the name of the company, they refused again. Eventually I just hung up on 'em.

I got a call repeatedly on my cell stealing my minutes. When i called the number from another phone they said they would remove my number. They weren't rude and didn't ask for a lot of information but what a pain in my butt? How do they get our personal numbers?

just a computer sounding voice. don't know who they want or why they are calling.

the caller is from erc collection agency.  if you don't answer right away there will be a recording for you to wait for a erc person.

These people with non-American accents mispronounced names and continue to callmy number when these people are not even related!  How do you get them to STOP legally?

An unknown call came in  this morning fro Robin at 9:03 AM,  ask to speak to my mother she was not available can i help you no you are not authorized this is between her and mr Butler. My reply my mother never told me about any business she had with mr Butler. Tell her to call this number 1-800-493-1089 extention 942 and she gave me a eight digit code Ref#.

the company is Enhanced Collections

It is Enhanced Recovery Corporation (ERC), a collection agency.  They called me twice, both times in the morning before 9 AM, once was even before 8:30.  I missed the call both time, but after the seond one, I called the number back to find out who it was.  The woman was polite, and told the name of the person they were trying to reach.  It sounded like it could be my ex-wife, but they had the name slightly wrong.

I may send a postcard to his home telling him how annoying and disturbing it is to have his company calling people at home.  Think he'll mind that?  Or maybe his wife (Patricia) will get a letter from his "girlfriend"...

An extremely rude lady called and asked if I was still receiving mail at some strange address that I've never lived at.  When I told her I didn't live at that address she asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN to confirm my identity.  I told her that I wouldn't give that information out until she identified herself.  She did the same thing the person above complained about.  I then informed her that I am a government employee and that I would be reporting the number and the call, and she smarted off to me like I was trying to bluff her.  I hung up on her at that point.

Just got a call from this number - they were VERY rude! A girl asked me to confirm my name and address but would not tell me who she was.  She said she was sending me out some information and I asked her not to as I did not want her to send me anything if she would not tell me what company she was calling from.  She replied "the information has already been sent" so I asked for her supervisor.  Her supervisor said he would not identify himself until I identified myself - how childish!  I explained that they were calling my personal cell phone and he interrupted me to tell me that they were trying to reach me or someone I knew - he was extremely disrespectful to say the least.  I again asked the name of the company he was calling from and he again refused.  I told him not to call again and he said they certainly would call again.  I assume it's a collection agency because I can't imagine any other company acting like that.  I will be filing a complaint if I can figure out who to file it against!
