How?

These people call me three or four times per week.  Got on today and I told the caller that I did not want to be called again.  He said I was very rude and told me to just shut up.  I said what and he repeated "Just shut up" then hung up.  They wanted to give me a quote on auto insurance.  Company unknown.  The callers all sound like they are from the middle east and often are difficult to understand.

The first call came from 1-866-364-0884. I was unable to understand most of what he said. He was asking for my location and asking about insurance. I requested that I be removed from their calling list. Less then a minute later another call came from 1-800-509-0884 I was still unable to understand most of what he was saying. He said something about insurance. I requested to be removed from their calling list again and informed them if they did call back I was going to report them for harassment. He then hung up on me.

1-800-509-0884    received several calls. Foreign language- completely unintelligible. Trying to scam my older parents. Called three time within a few minutes. Rude, obnoxious and pushy. This number , when called from our phone is a non working number. It needs to be blocked and the callers need to be arrested for harassment and scamming older people. They even laughed at me when I told them to slow down and speak English. It was offensive and rude. Please help.

I am tired of these calls. I am on the don't call list which seems to be a waste of time.

You can block any number if you have the iPhone! I have about 35 (800) numbers on block right now

I just learned how to add a reject list on my galaxy s3 -- instantly add any of this full messages.

I have a pre-pay Go Phone so I don't pick up calls if I don't recognize the number. This caller never leaves a message. On a whim, I decided to call back and got a message that it's not in service. This means it's one of those legitimate numbers that's been hijacked by spammers.

getting phone calls from this number and is very annoying. How can I stop this number or owners of this number from being a pest?

This number keeps calling me. Upon redial reads out of svc. No vm left. (800) 509-0884. Obnoxious- don't have unlimited minutes for this nonsense!

This is a bunch of kneepad wearing homofaguels.  Call the number back and it says it is not in service.  F**s, scrotum lickers, sperm swallowing, cum breath b****ole sniffers. Not politically correct enough 4 you?  Look up the one and only Dr.Mountebank.  Tell me all about it---see if I care?  The faggyboiz using this phone number don't.

Calls with thick Indian accent says something about Auto insurance.  Can hear others cursing people out in the background.  Clearly a scam.  If they call don't answer they keep calling.

Unwanted call from 800-509-0884

They have called me 9 times so far today. Since it is a landline and they refuse to comply with the do not call registry rules I have to let my phone ring non stop.

Got several calls today and started receiving them from yesterday. When i called back the number it says it's not in service? I just added them to my "Reject" list on my Galaxy 3 phone..

I don't always answer but when I did tonight they tried asking me if I still drive a 99 something or other. I couldn't tell with the accent. They are definitely scammers! I wish they'd stop calling!!

This number calls 4 to 5 times a day, and EVERY time he says its John from Auto Care.  Sound like a call room in India.  WILL NOT STOP CALLING NO MATTER HOW RUDE YOU GET.

IF you are able to dig far enough into the robocall system being used, you'll probably find that the 1-800 call you are receiving is either a spoofed number or located outside the US. Therefore, there is NO WAY for the Do Not Call list to knock their little heads away from the phones. Also, the DNC list excludes political calls and surveys, plus if you have ever done ANY business, no matter how obliquely, the calls are still legal.

My solution (at the moment, still looking for something better)? I have a dumbphone, so I collect the numbers under Span 1, etc and set the default ringtone to "No Ring". That means all I have to do is delete the calls whenever I get around to it.

Thanks, Slim, for your suggestions! We'll probably have to contact the landline provider. The phone system's call blocker only holds up to 40 numbers and, of course, there are far more spam callers than that.

I've asked them to remove me from their list three times today alone. The last time the guy hung up in me when I was mid sentence. I don't even own a car, I live in a big city. Lol. I just blocked them and I hope that's enough, although, they've called using an 818 area code and another number that doesn't register as a real number

Notes online says this is RE: auto insurance.

Tired of receiving calls like these.  Please get me off of their list.

Us auto care. Everytime they call I save the numbers in my phone as do not answer and that list is getting really long they have at least 10 numbers that are listed in my phone as do not answer

Claims to be "US Autocare" mentioning something along the lines of cheaper Auto Insurance. This isn't the first time I've been called within the past few months but with different numbers. Attempted to verify where I lived via my zipcode but the information they had was when I lived in another state over 2 years ago. They also had access to what make and model I drove, I was fed up with their continuous calls and told them I am not interested in auto insurance and sold my car and they hung up. Callers in the past have all had a foreign accent, possibly Indian.

The caller had a slight accent but it was difficult to tell from where.  The person asked for a specific person.  When I said he had the wrong number, he hung up. Probably a bill collector but I don't know.

Wtf, continues to call my boyfriends phone and he hangs up quickly and says they hang up.

The calls continue.  No matter what you tell them they will not stop calling.  They have cussed me out, hung up on me and even laughed at me when I threatened to report them.  It's obvious that they are scammers.  I have tried to block their number but ATT doesn't block 800 numbers.  So damn annoying!!!  What I don't get is why they continue to call when you refuse to give them what they want on the first call or the fifteenth call....do they think you are going to have a change of mind and decide to give them your personal information?  F'n idiots!!

This number has called several times today and I wouldn't answer,. Tonight I answered and there was no one there. When I tried to check this number, I was told it is not a working number. I've blocked it.
