This number continues to call my 12 year old son's cell.  Really makes me mad.  I tell him to never answer if he doesn't know who it is.  Some other 800 or 888 #'s that have called alot I've called back and asked them not to call anymore but they still do.

I am getting these telephone calls at my work over and over.  I have called to have the number removed, they continue to call.  (One time I called and asked to have the number removed, they just hung up on me.)  When I'm on another call at my work, these calls are bouncing to the receptionist at my office, very embarrassing.  I can't get them to stop.  I am beginning to worry about my job!

I have received the same calls for the last eight months - when you respond, which I foolishly did once, I am referred to an atty. He speaks gobbledygook.

Message left on voice mail from "Connor Jenkins" stating it was imperative that I call him back. However, the number he left was 1-800-210-2935 but I got an error message that this number is "not in service" ... I googled "Connor Jenkins 1 800" and found him on this website ... I won't bother to try and get in touch ... guess he gets confused when making so many unwanted phone calls.

These people keep calling and filling our answering machine with their tripe! Then when we call them and kindly request no more calls, they laugh at us and hang-up on us.

We're striking back by calling them and offering some bogus information to sign up for their program. Fight fire with fire I always say.

I call under the persona of Mike Hunt etc... you get the idea. They can take my country but they'll never take our FREEEEDOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!

call today from "Philip Drake' 1-800-511-8460 Company called Consumer Assistance Corp. my credit card balances going-up(really?) and it was 'imperative' I call them immediately. Baloney... Same ID and phone number as call "sleepy' got from the same jokers.
.. you have to stop and think for a second; the 'scare tactic' is enough to be of concern unless you don't have any overdue credit card balances.
Which I don't....

Just so you all know - this is a spoofing situation. This company is using 'almost' my phone number in the called ID, which shows a 616 area code, but when you REDIAL - you get me - which is the same number but the area code is 619. this is why it is impossible to trace them. But, after 4 months of research, I asked all the angry people who called me and got some good feedback once I explained that I was not the person who called them. I figured all that out and have contacted the FCC and FBI.
Pls stand by for more info. Answer if you have any other names they are using.
The company uses these names:

Consumer Assistance Corp

are  you sure it wasn't 619-980-2405?  or was the area code 616?
I have been getting many calls from people saying that my phone called them... when in fact, it did not.
that same company you are talking about is using MY number as a spoof.
I can't get Verizon to do anything about it.
When these poor angry people call me, I tell them that it is a scam company using my number. they told me it was a Credit relief company and another person said it was a Satellite Service company.
Just wondered if you had a typo on the area code, because my number is 619-980-2405 and it is being 'used'.

I got 3 voice messages from Philip telling me it's imperative to call him back at 1-800-511-8460.  I just got my new phone number in less than a week.  Fk. This kind of bs screwed up my home phone and now they invade my cell phone.  I called them earlier today and the first thing they asked was: Do you have debt?.  I said "no" and she hung up promptly without saying bye or anything.  I called back and a guy picked up and did the same.  Fk this.  What they are doing is wasting my time and theirs.  It's not good bussiness for anybody here.  Maybe we all should call them several times a day and then hang up.  They will be overwhelmed with the number of incoming calls but no business.  Haha see who is annoying whom!  Actually that is what I am doing when I am bored.

Perhaps we should all "return" these calls. Tell them you're not interested at this time, but you do know someone that would be. Have the name & number of your State Senator or State Representative. (In my case I refer them to Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas). These numbers are in any phone-book. This does 2 things. It lets the telemarketer know you're willing to contact your State Senator. It lets your State Senator know that the National "Do Not Call" Registry is not working, like it should be.
Also, file a simple complaint with the FTC every time you get one of these calls.....on-line. Its easy.

I got the same type of call about a debt reduction allowance program from Connor Jenkins on my voice mail today at 1:11pm.  The call was from 616-980-2417 telling me it's imperative that I call him back at 1-800-210-2935.  I didn't get a company b/c it was a recording, I believe, so they probably started talking before the voice mail recording actually cut off.

I've gotten the call from 616-980-2405 leaving this 1-800 number to call to consolidate credit card debt or whatever. Calling me on my WORK phone nearly every day! Funny thing is, I don't even have any credit card debt. At least they don't call me at home.

I've decided to call back the 1-800 number every day and just press random buttons until the guy hangs up:

Them:  "Consumer credit."
Me:  Beep beep beep beeeeeep beep
Them:  (pause) "Consumer credit."
Me:  Beep be-beep beep beep beep
Them:  (pause, then louder) "Consumer credit, how may I help you?"
Me:  (2 minute pause, I can't believe he's still on the line) Beep beep beep

And so on. My record is three minutes thirty seconds.

Not sure this is where I need to post this but I suppose I'll take my chances and do so anyway. I recieved a partial message on my answering machine from a man that said it was Imperative that I return his call. The number he left was; 1-800-511-8460. I didn't catch a name because the only thing that was recorded was the number and Imperative. Bull Hockey! Seems that with all the extra charges added to our phone bills, the phone companies would be able to check and make sure that these folks requesting "800" numbers were legit. I searched lots of reverse phone number sites before stumbling in here and thanks to this site and all the obvious facts here, I now know that this must be some sort of a scam in process. Thanks for the info and for putting it out here. :)

Same as others. Different names  Philip Drake  1 800 511 8460 and Lynden Hall 1 800 511 0316.
Called both numbers back and got the same people answering in the "recovery department"
I asked what the "recovery department" is and they said "we can help negotiate down your debt. 30 to 60 cents on the dollar."  I told them that I have no ccard debt and the response was "how would we know that if we hadn't talked to you?" I said your message indicated you knew all about my finances! She then offered to remove my # from their calling list and I responded why don't you do that.  We will see.

This is the 2nd time I've gotten this call.

I've been comtemplating on calling that number and talking endlessly and wasting there time as they have mine.

I once got this call from some guy selling my these tests for certifications. He told me that they were a great deal. At the time my parents were paying my off credit cards. So I couldn't purchase anything without letting them know first. I never had the intention of buying it. The guy was talking about how they are "my" credit cards since they are in my name. I told him that I didn't pay them so it's not my money to begin with. I told him to give me some time to talk with my parents.

He called back in 30 minutes and I told him that I wasn't interested. He got really pissed off because I wasted 2 hours of his time. Oh well... I was playing world of warcraft while he was talking to me so I didn't get my time wasted or anything. It was really funny.

Looks like i'm carrying the torch here.  After searching the web, there are no devices currently on the market that will block incomming calls to a cell phone, there are devices that will do this to a lan line only.
After calling my cell service I was turned on to a number by the Federal
Trade Commission that will register your phone number for 5 years.
Sales companies have 30 days to remove your number from their call list.
If on day 31 & beyond they keep calling, you can bring suit.
Hopefully, they will comply because this is federal law.
They would rather go on to the next number than to mess with you.
The number to register is 1.888.382.1222 follow the instructions.
Hope this helps.
