Phone number is 1-800-513-4068 not 6068!!!  Sorry for the typo!!!

Caller ID 1-800-513-6068. Have received calls repeatedly for weeks. Looked up online... Showing as telemarketer or bill collector. Always hang up when answering machine turns on. Today I called back. Phone answered as AARP. person who answered (she) also knew my first name. Said AARP was calling me to inform me of benefits that are available to me.

I replied "Oh really? First off, you're at a number that is reported to be a telemarketer, not AARP. Second, AARP informs me by mail. Third, I am on the Do Not Call list and even if you are AARP, which you aren't, DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!". She continued to try to tell me, even got belligerent that she was with AARP and just trying to let me know about valuable benefits... She finally hung up and I called AARP and reported the incident. AARP was very interested in this SCAM.  BEWARE!!!!

been getting phone calls constantly for weeks from this number. Looked it up online.. Comes up as telemarketer or bill collector. Finally returned the call today ( have let answering machine pick up before;they never leave a message). Phone was answered by a woman as AARP, who knew my first name. She said AARP was just calling to go over all my benefits with me. I said "Really?"... Then why are you not calling me from a AARP phone number and why when I look you up online you're shown as aTELEMARKETER???!!!
And by the way, I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST and don't you EVER call this number again... She got belligerent & insisted she was AARP & had a right to call me & explain benefits... I said again AARP doesn't call me... She hung up. I called AARP & reported this phone marketing abuse... They were interested... So if you get calls from 1-800-513-4068 IT'S A SCAM!!!! BEWARE!!!M

Finally today called number back... Was told I had reached AARP, she called me by my first name, and kept telling me she was AARP and was going to tell me all about my AARP benefits...she got really insistent when she was AARP & just trying to tell me what benefits I had available when I told her I knew she wasn't with AARP, she wasn't at an AARP number, and thatI am on the DO NOT CALL list and even if she is with AARP they don't call me, they mail me... She hung up. I called AARP and they were VERY interested in this SCAM & said THEY would follow up on it
