They call and when I answer thay hang up. They have called 6 times today!!

Received a call this morning.

This number has called four times per day for days. I didn't get messages
either. Today I answered and they hung up on me.

Update: After getting a call at 8 AM on a Saturday while I was still sleeping I decided to call them  up. A fairly courteous woman answered the phone and I asked why I was getting calls from them. She said they were looking for so and so (which was not me). I told them I have no idea who that is and she said they must have the wrong number and I would no longer receive calls from them. So, if everything works out I guess I can't be to upset by these people.

I've been getting calls from them since 6/23/09. If I pick up the call it end after approx. 7 seconds. If I let it go to voicemail no message is left. It's getting quite annoying...

This number has called every day, for sveral weeks, no messages.

I have no idea who this is and it's the first time they have called here. I was not able to get to the phone in time to answer it and all they said in the message was "it's an important business matter." How am i supposed to know who to call back and why they are calling if that's all they leave. If you can't tell me who you are calling for and why you are calling, I won't talk to you.

They call me all the time!
I answered on time and they pretended they were looking for somebody else when i already clearly stated numerous times that the person doesn't own this number! They supposively deleted my number off their contact list but they still call me. CURSES!

An 800 number called me and I did not answer. This was the number. I called it back and could not get anybody to answer.

You are absolutely correct.  This is a debt collection company... Focus Receivables Management.  I have received calls from 877-623-6287 and 813-628-6101, as well.

I get the same call everyday and it is a recording that says, please contact crystal bersard abd says the phone number.

This is not an apartment locator company!  I receive about 20 call a day from them and I finally decided to return their call.  They are a debt collection company and in my case it is for Wachovia

Okay what I have found out so far is 1-800-514-4778 is listed on the interenet as an apartment finder service serving San Antonio Texas. However, when you call the number back, it is a call center. So after calling several times and them refusing to give me their company name or any other information, it seems that the whole plan would be for them to call you and phish for information. I don't know what they use the information for but considering that they refuse to give out any information explaining who they are and why they call would say that they are bad.

Follow my advice:
If someone calls you and doesn't tell you their company name only a first name and does not state why they are calling.
Don't give them any information and report them immediately to the proper authorities, or consumer protective services. (or the FTC)

Even if they call and state it's for an "important business matter" you have the right not to do business with them if they do not state clearly their intent.

Received this call for the 5th time tonight at dinner time. This is an apartment locator service and it's a good thing it's free because I needed an apartment back in 2005. I don't remember signing up for the service but like I said that was in 2005. Maybe I did and they are just now calling me with an open apartment. Anyway, too little too late. I moved in my apartment, you guessed it, in 2005 and have been there since. I would not give these people any information.
