I got a call from these people; picked up the first time and got no answer, so I call them back. Other than the person's name, they said it was for "private business". Oh yeah? Well, unless you're gonna tell me who you work for so I know it isn't a scam, then don't expect me to answer your calls. Absolutely disrespectful.

Well, this is about as rude as you can get. These guys call our house, I pick up and get an automated message. No name of the company, no nothing. I call back, and right away I get an operator. AGAIN, no name from the company.

These people call at least once a day! Never leave any type of message they just hang up! I refuse to call them back... My thing is if you can't leave a message it must not be that important! I have no clue who they are or what they are calling about.. All I know that it is Credit Bureau of Lancaster County.

So I got a call from this number I have zero collections problems and never have went late on a bill. I never answer 1800 numbers and never give out my Cell number to anyone only my house unless your a friend or relative. Today, I got a call from this number on my Cell!!!!! I knew right then and there something is going on and its foul. after looking up this number and find this site I am glad I didn't answer, the fact that they had my cell phone number really tip me off about how suspicious the call was.

Called me and I actually answered - they REFUSED to tell me who they were until I identified MYSELF as the person they were calling for - they just kept saying they "had personal information." They claimed I had been turned over to their collection agency for an unpaid bill to a local company.

Though the company is real and I do have a bill with them, it was the wrong amount and this is not the company that is handling it!!! Also they said I could call next week and pay via phone or mail but they did NOT leave a number - very unprofessional, and I wouldn't know the number unless I had caller ID.

Don't trust these people as I am 100% sure it's a scam.

The do not call registry is only for telemarketers, it does not block collection calls.

It is the Lancaster county debt collector. However I have  pulled my credit report and they're not on there. Trust me I've been through this before with a ridiculous 6 year old bill. It ends up on your report if its already made it to a debt collector. These people have never appeared on mine and they've called off and on two years! I will not call them back now because I see no reason too. I have tried to locate the issue on they're website and its the worst site ever. Find out if they really have a reason to call by running your own credit check, if not, ignore them.

I called the number back, and after verifying my identity, was told the nature of the call.  She identified herself and who they were.  Very polite, very professional, and very helpful.  EVEN HELPED ME FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX MY CREDIT ISSUE REGARDING SOME PAYMENT CORRECTIONS.

They are a credit company/collection agency.  The same thing happened to me...my insurance company is going to investigate before they pay them any money and so am I.  For example they don't have bills and can't send one to you if you request.  They can only send you a print out of the display screen that they have showing only a dollar amount owed.  If you don't live in their region they say that they can't mail you any information.  They can't even give you any information on how to contact the company that supposedly placed you in collections with them.  If they would just leave a message or not be so rude when they call people them maybe they might actually get somewhere.  It's like a "BIG" secret.  If you are calling me then tell me who you are.  We have a right to insist on getting the person that is calling us to identify themselves especially when they constantly call, hang up and don't leave any messages.  Somebody needs to let them know they need a more professional approach to their job.

Called tonight and when I answered they asked for my husband and he would not tell me who he was or what he wanted so I then I told him that he was not here and hung up.

The worst thing that we can do when we receive these never ending calls is to answer them or to click on the call and off quickly, that just prompts them to try again later. Secound, when we file a DNC complaint, it's my personal belief that our name then goes to the top of the DNC list (that scammers can buy for a buck) then these unregulated, uncaring callers have a current new caller list to use and instead call us regardless of any law. I've stopped filing complaints, and as such my daily unwanted calls have dropped considerably. The ringer on my phone stays shut off and will stay that way until these calls are no longer a problem. Call ID is my salvation.

Incessant calls. They never STOP regardless of the laws. Regardless of how many complaints get filled. I think that DoNotCall complaint dept does absolutely nothing for consumers and has No effect on the callers.

This number calls me every day.  I called them back from a different number.  The voice simply said "How can I help you."  No company name or anything.

Calls and does not leave a message. They don't identify who they are and what reason they are calling.  What makes them think anyone would want to respond to an anonymous caller. People are scammed everyday.

They called my home when noone was there and did not leave a message. I pulled their number off the caller id and returned the call, the person on the other end would not disclose the purpose of the company he worked for other than saying they are a private company out of lancaster Pa. i then gave him my full name and phone number and he could not find any reason they called but befor i hung the phone up he wanted to know the last 4 digits of my social, i asked the person on the other end to disclose his company to me and i would consider giving it to him. He would not do so. I ended the conversation and hung up. I guess the guy on the other end thinks he is a secret service agent or something, i looked the number up on line and found that it was lancaser PA credit bureau. Wow what a secret. If i owe somebody money lets try leaving a message or the old fasion way, mail me a bill. otherwise dont call at all.....James Bond out.

i ck under mobile trace and it show up this num is from some part in the north east of africa this can be a scam so i sugest dont called them back they can user time to they advantage

It just happened to me!  I kept asking "Tracy" from which agency or company she was calling, and she said, "Ma'am, I have to respect his (my nephew) privacy."  All I wanted was an answer, and she was EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!!!  Something HAS to be done about these people - it's harassment!!!!!!!

I just answered the phone because I was sick and tired of several calls a day, every day, with no message.  They asked to speak to <insert my name here> and I said "That's me.  What company are you calling from?" to be told "Its a private company and I don't have to tell you that."  It ended in a one sided shouting match because I kept asking for the company name and she kept refusing to give it and started shouting over me.  She finally hung up on me while I kept repeating "I will not discuss anything with you until you give me your company name" saying she'd "call <insert my name here> again later today."  Good luck sweetheart.  I have my mini recorder ready now and I have no problems with reporting you and your company to the proper agencies.
