My phone number is unlisted and I've given it out to only a very few people in the 4 months I've had it.  I don't usually answer this land line as it is typically only used as my fax line, but today I was waiting for my daughter to call back and didn't even look at the caller ID until after I hung up. The call was placed from 1-800-522-9841.  The lady asked for me using both a correct first and last name...in fact she used my nick name.name. Very unsettling since my number is UNLISTED.  I told her she had the wrong number...but this really creeped me out.  Is my phone service provider selling my private number? I've had sales calls from robo dialer 800 #s...but this one was a live person who asked for me by name.   I feel violated.   Does anyone know how to investigate this or report this?  To whom?

I got a call from this number and answered. They said they were doing a customer satisfaction survey for our insurance company.

I posted a for sales ad in Craiglist.  Immedialtely I got a call from this number 760-705-8888  this guy sound with a very heavy Indian accent and asked me for my cell number.  I gave it to him,  While I was on the line with him he texted me with a verify code xxxxx and asked me to read it to him.  I did.
His texted from 951-261-5910.
20 mins later I received a call from 800-522-9841 on my cell. I answered no answer.  Message is silent.  

Do know what next!!

I keep getting calls from this number. I don't know who it is. They leave no message. When I do answer, there is no one on the other end. Very irritating.

i get relentless calls from this number. we are on the do not call registry.  when i call this number back, it comes up "no service" WTF!?

I have received a call from this number early today. When I tried to return the call, an announcement stated to call 1800927talk for an exciting conversation.  That was weird.

This call is from TRC they have a direct phone number which is 1-215-641-2241 Supervisor is Jessica Derr

Have also been getting these calls.  I don't answer, they don't leave message, but they come in almost every day at the same time (5:24pm EDT).  Thanks to "scottls" for identifying them - will report them to Verizon, the Feds, and anyone else I can think of!  And yes, I, too, am on the national do-not-call list (fat lot of good that does!).

Receiving calls from this 800-522-9841 everynight 'round 2:30. nothing is ever said, so I just hang up.

i never pick up, they never leave a message.  I'm a TdBank customer and have not been happy with them about a few things...I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find them behind this (as soon as my free account expires i'm switching to a credit union :-D )

called me 2 times in the past week.  no one answers or leaves a msg.

Someone from this company calls 3 - 4 times per day.  Today I spoke to someone who could not even pronounce my last name.  She told me her name was Jackie from TD Bank and hung up on me when I told her it would be nice if you could pronounce my name.

I verified this with TD Bank and it is not one of their numbers.  Phishing scheme!

Called on Sunday asking for my son by name. Said he was Mr. Pettis from TD Bank. When I couldn't give good time to call back he hung up. Son has no accounts with this bank.

They called Sunday morning at 10:30, young male voice asking for my ex-wife by name (she's been ex for 15 years).  Said "no one here by that name" and he hung up.

I get at least 4 calls a day from this number; they never leave a message, just hang up.

I have been receiving calls from this number every day for over a week now. Some days it is every hour for 5-6 hours. Today is Sunday and they have called at least 3 times already. They never leave a message. This is so annoying I have to turn the ringer off on my phone so I don't have to listen to the phone ring when they call.

I just called the number and got this message:

"The number you are calling is temporarily unavailable"

Got a call from 800-522-9841.  I didn't recognize the number and let it go to voice mail.  No message left.

This is a remote calling program - it's an outgoing number for a call center system used for a whole bunch of companies.  It is pretty much impossible for you to figure out who is actually calling you unless you get a person on the line.  Often it will be your bank or another financial institution.  I've had the same number used by Bank of America, an IT firm and several other financial institutions.

I live in Texas and just had a call from this number. Since I didn't recognize it I let it go to voicemail. No message was left though.

Keep getting calls up to 9pm on Sunday nights and various times throughout the day the rest of the week.  I don't answer and they never leave a message.  I tried calling the number back once and it was a fast busy signal...like an invalid number.  Definitely not a legitimate company calling and I do not plan to answer calls from this number.  I am also on the do not call registry and agree the government has too many loopholes for businesses to avoid penalties.  If it was important enough, these people would leave a message.
